Lazy as is lazy desingn, recycled, and cliché mechanics?
Or in the difficulty?
Everything. It's just a bigger elite pirate that needs you to turn on your xray visor to damage.
Retro themselves said this was the boss that took the least time to make.
>we could have gotten Meta Kraid as the boss of the Phazon Mines
>because Ridley appeared in this game, he went on to become to 2nd biggest character of the entire Metroid franchise
...
Miracle Matter was better.
I was in a prime thread and called this boss forgettable and they went complete apeshit. Why are Prime-a-donnas so defensive of their games?
The games you like also have people defensive of it.
fuck.this.
Don't try to deny it.

Arzelide from Last Rebellion. Can't find a good pic of him.
True that. Felt super disappointed.

??????????????????
>game tells you how to solve the "puzzle"
>rest of the boss fight is just a generic boring monster
>game doesn't tell you
>get one shotted
...
At least you actually got to fight Absalom.
>>get one shotted
you survive with one health
I'm sure they could've done this fight differently while keeping him as a molten lava dragon octopus, but they really screwed the pooch with that design and fight. Hell, Thrall kills Deathwing after you did all the work, just like he stole the kill on Garrosh.
...
I think the design is what fucks it up. It's meant to be a climactic setpiece but whacking on stationary limbs isn't very satisfying and doesn't match what's supposed to be a chaotic and insane encounter.
Absalom would've been much better if he got the Nemeroth treatment desu
>stole the kill on Garrosh
Nah, even better. He challenged him to honorable mak'gora, but being an inferior fel-tainted Orc that hasn't actually practiced martial form in who knows how long, he leaned on that old shamanistic crutch.
Stationary bosses can be good, but Deathwing wasn't good. A better example would be Dark Falz Elder from Phantasy Star Online 2.
>Same stretchy arms, but more
>Does more than just bleed on you, including slamming, swiping, and punching you, as well as slamming his entire planet-sized body on you
>Doesn't die, but gets so horribly weakened that he has to flee
Shame the boss was so easy, but Elder is clearly the superior Deathwing.
The buildup in Nagrand (Draenor) was for you to do what you didn't do in Siege of Orgrimmar, and it was a great nod to YOU being the hero, as Garrosh remembered you as the one who stopped his plans in Azeroth. Thrall showing up and challenging him was entirely unnecessary, and the fight after was a total cockblock. Thrall cheated since the Elementals are individuals, not weapons. He called upon their aid in a 1v1 match between men with weapons.
>Not Okumura which is just wave after wave of enemies you fought in the dungeon already with a big black one in the end.
>Add a new final boss
>Somehow ends up being even worse than fucking Nashandra
Fuck DS2
Yamato from PSO2
>Demons(?) turn things into superpowered zombies
>You destroy the Yamato battleship's guns, the captain laughs at your efforts
>Something happens, you have to escape via convenient teleport
>Yamato suddenly begins flying, all guns repaired and incredibly anime as fuck (beam spam)
>Fuck this, get to the giant robots
>This starts playing youtube.com
>The hype it built up is wasted; the fight is not even a challenge, and is 100% free loot
It was the "final" boss at the time it was released, but it wasn't even worth mention since it was so insanely easy. Hell, anything involving the AIS robots is a joke. Still fun regardless, but there's literally no chance of losing unless you purposely choose to do so.
