Where did everything go so right?
Where did everything go so right?
What game are you talking about?
It's odd that you talk about some good game and have pic of the utter shit.
DA:O was mediocre as fuck
the idea of developing games for consoles first hasnt yet occurred to money hungry cocksucking publishers yet
This game is boring as hell and I don't understand why it's so beloved.
>combat was shitty tank & spank MMO combat in a single player game, a huge step down from BG2
>story was generic "join le elite group of soldiers to slay evil"
>there wasn't a proper main antagonist
>final boss ended up being an actual fucking dragon,
i still liked it on release though.
>dragon age
>one fucking dragon in the entire game
Because people had gone close to a decade without a crpg in that format. These days you can't move for shit like Tides of Numeria and Pillars of Eternity, but not in 2009.
There's three giant dragons, at least 3 big dragons, several average dragons and loads of little dragons.
It didn't. The entire series is utter shit filled with walls of endless text and piss poor combat. I have never been so thoroughly bored in my entire life. Then they decided to hamfist homosexuality into the sequel, as if things weren't bad enough already. Go play good games kiddies.
I counted the arch demon, the high dragon, that smaller dragon in the werewolf dungeon, and a whole bunch of dragon babys and male dragons leading up to the high dragon
...
>pointing out facts makes you a drone
It was created with the cast they used to mold Baldur's Gate II. That's why it ended up good, if a bit watered down for modern ""gamers"".
Nu-Bioware makes one good game and then shits the bed consecutively with sequels (see: Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age 2).
am confused. what is best dragon age?
Wasn't Origins in production long before the EA buyout?
DA:O>Shit>DA:I>DA2
DA:O>DA:I>DA2>any other RPG
It was. I think it was at least half-way through development when EA bought the studio.
It's my favorite dragon age. I enjoyed dragon age 2 and inquisition too. All for different reasons. do I have shit taste Sup Forums?
Not if, like me, you acknowledge they weren't up to par, but still admit they were enjoyable despite the shitty tribal hi/v/emind
this

>On June 24, 2009, Electronic Arts announced a restructuring of their role-playing and massively multiplayer online games development into a new group that included both Mythic Entertainment and BioWare. Ray Muzyka, co-founder and general manager of BioWare, was appointed the Group general manager of this newly formed "BioWare Group". BioWare's other co-founder, Greg Zeschuk, became the Group Creative Officer for the new MMORPG studio group. Rob Denton stepped up as general manager of Mythic, reporting to Muzyka, and later became the Group Operations Officer of the new group. BioWare's studios remained unchanged and continued to report to Muzyka.[7] Near the end of 2009, BioWare released the acclaimed fantasy role-playing game Dragon Age: Origins.
They were acquired back in 2007, but only at this point did they neuter whole gaming divisions.
I used to love Origins but on replay it was so fucking generic and boring that i couldn't even get half way through it
DA2>DA:0>DA:I
You know it to be true.
Found the roastie.
That's DA:I
