>the one video where he doesn't follow the Reddit Hivemind
Disgusting display of individualism. Such arrogance. Just agree with the majority already.

>2017
>being contrarian for sake of being contrarian
Wouldn't mind you being a contrarian with legitimate reasoning, but your post just screams "I'M LE DIFFERENT SMART SNOWFLAKE FUCK CONFORMITY".

He has points, but he clearly made them up just to justify him saying this contrarian shit. You can tell by the arguments like the lock on being bad.

That makes it somehow cringy, still a good watch.

>Makes legitimate criticisms about one of the most overrated games ever
>Plays it on a show, where he is mostly occupied with entertaining and pays it fucking badly
>Zelda-stans: ALL YOUR CRITICISMS ARE WRONG BECAUSE YOU'RE SHIT AT THE GAME

Why does anybody still give a fuck about him?

From what I gathered from this video, e does't always know what to do and might need a second to figure it out, wow how fucking hypocritical

except for using his shield, he is a retard for never learning that

Egoraptor's tutorial philosophy is fucking madness.

Lol what he uses walkthroughs he doesnt figure shit all out. He complains the game holds your hand and is too easy with "pseudo puzzles" then has to use a walkthrough for every fucking dungeon in the game.

Every dungeon besides the three easy basically tutorial dungeons in the beginning

He has points. But he tries to display them in such a retarded way that he often comes out wrong. he also tries to bitch about things that are massively non issues.

I wouldn't really call him wrong about Ocarina. It's certainly not all that it's cracked up to be.

I didn't actually watch the video lp, but I can't find in OPs video does he say he is using a guide, I remember a video like this of Wind Waker where he uses a guide are you sure thats not what you're talking about.

If he was using a guide how did he ever get stuck on any puzzle like the ice block puzzle?

>Mega Man sequelitis has him go on a rant about how developers treat players like retards and you should push buttons to figure things out on your own
>this happens

>Zelda sequelitis has him complain about waiting too long
>all enemies in OoT have a weakness that breaks them out of guard
>complains about things hitting you off-screen
>all fully visible
>complains about Zelda having more story
>ALttP is more excessive compared to Zelda 1
>had to use a guide for Wind Waker, literally the easiest Zelda game

God he is so bad

That GUTS episode made me frustrated how fucking dumb he could be.

The thing is, LttPfags complain about OoT for things LttP does as well, right down to having nostalgiafag fans who think their game is the best

LttPfags are actually the biggest hypocrites in the franchise

>... is that a puzzle ?
>like seriously is that a puzzle ?
>is looking around the room finding a eyeball on a wall really super fun for people ?

A lot of his criticisms are bullshit though. Like waiting for enemies. A lot of enemies that, according to him, can only be killed by waiting for them to leave themselves open, can be stunned with some other items and then killed, like the Deku Nuts. Some of them can even be killed instantly with a jump attack. Also never using a shield, keeping the hover boots on at all times, using the hookshot for enemies when the bow is way more useful, these shit goes beyond just being a bit absent minded because your thinking of ways to talk about poopy dicks.

If they want comedy to be their main focus, they should do a podcast or something. If you play video games, they should let video games be the focus and actually try to play it well.

He was stuck on it until he used a guide lmao then felt dumb after. Trust me i watched all of it. He used a guide in every adult dungeon except maaaybe the forest temple i cant remember.

>Some of them can even be killed instantly with a jump attack
>Some

What I want to know is what are the puzzles in LTTP that are so revolutionary. He complains about how all the puzzles in OOT involve just looking around but, I don't think he gave an example of a puzzle better implemented in LTTP. I may be wrong though.

>"jump attack"
>in a game where you can't even jump

What did he mean by this?

I think he is complaining that you have to look around for the puzzle objects rather than being able to see them all on screen at once.

>a good watch
nothing he has made was ever a good watch

>lock on
>"A" button
thats the jump attack

>There are people that will defend Arin
Holy shit, I didn't know his brainless dick suckers were on Sup Forums

It shouldn't have to be said, but comparing LttP and OoT is a really bad idea which isn't likely to bare much fruit (ex: this video).

Complaining about and criticizing games only because they're popular is also a really retarded thing to do.

I agree with a lot of his arguments about Ocarina's story. Even though it's a personal point, I prefer when you discover you're a hero over the game telling you that you're a hero. Like instead of standing in the designated spot and pressing the button to watch the cutscene where Ganon dies, you kill Ganon, you walk through the door and rescue the princess. When the story is told through interaction with the game rather than through cutscene about saving Hyrule.

All his criticisms of the gameplay can be boiled down "this is what I had problems wtih" and passing them off as arguments. Like if there are spinning death pucks sliding across the floor, maybe look where they are and don't stand where they slide? Arin literally thought an escort quest in a Zelda game would be a good idea, that should be a viewer's biggest clue that he has no idea what he's talking about.

Mike and James don't have a problem playing and banting, and much more difficult games most of the time as well.
The thing that cheapens the value of his criticisms is he claims to have beaten the game many times, but plays like a person that read a FAQ outline and went with only a cursory knowledge of how to play or what to expect.

Zelda's increasing complexity is a double edged sword leading to a slower more guided experience with story and spectacle invasive on gameplay

The roots of Zelda were exploration and non linearity but increasingly the series became more and more about storytelling and a more puzzle focused gameplay, even combat eventually became a sort of puzzle.

While arguably both LttP and OoT represent a middle ground between classic Zelda's cryptic and unforgiving experience and modern Zelda's handholdy but grandiose experience, LttP is more rooted in the classic experience and thus more in touch with what Zelda was originally created for.

There in 3 paragraphs I did what Egoraptor couldn't do in ten minutes.

The thing about those eyes is they're just the 3D version of obtusely placed switches in 2D games. He's right, they aren't puzzles, but he's a fucking idiot for thinking they are.

wind waker and twilight princess were the only games in the series to have actual good puzzles imo

>DEVELOPERS THINK GAMERS ARE STUPID
>WE DON'T NEED ALL THIS WAYPOINT SHIT AND INSTRUCTIONS ON WHERE TO GO
youtube.com/watch?v=BHfccjHzKeo
and don't even try that "w-w-well they were concentrating on being funny" because they weren't

As far as the 3D games go, I can agree. Though I feel TP wasn't really all that strong in any direction, it and SS are the Zelda games I have the most trouble recalling shit about.

Nope. He's still the biggest hipster faggot.
