What did you guys think about the fake Igor twist?
What did you guys think about the fake Igor twist?
>use news of va change as a red herring
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
This, played like a god damn fiddle
I never saw it coming
I mean, you'd really only know something was up if you played previous games. But it being a prison as opposed to the other areas was pretty suspicious to begin with.
I don't understand how the fact that they changed his English voice didn't clue you in to him being a different character.
I got spoiled so didn't really feel the impact.
Also his demeanour and pose are totally different with Igor anyway so it kinda gave it away.
the voice really gave it off. i wish they gave him a voice that was less evil souding.
So will Igor ever get replaced or are they just going to reycle the dead seiyuu's voiceclips?
I thought it was funny as fuck - in addition I liked that part much more than the other fucking twist with Aketchi where the game fucking David Cage style lies to you
first time he is not the one fusing persona, that should have tip you something was off
I played 3 and 4 and I feel like a complete dumbass for my velvet room not feeling off
I like how the Japanese version actually reuses voice clips of the original VA for real Igor
The stupid part is they changed to voice of Real Igor too over here
I bet they will just use his voiceclips for the rest of the series. He's kind of iconic.
I knew about the VA change so I thought nothing of it. Thought his new VA turned out great actually but hooooly fuck I was taken for a ride. I feel like only people who have played 3 and 4, and kept up with the VA news will truly feel the impact.
Easily the best "twist" the game pulled. The shit with Akechi was obvious miles and miles away.
Can't get rid of Igor my man.
I thought Niijima-sempai was going to betray them because Muh Suster. What really got me was the fucking plan they used to trick the trickster on Male-Naota
He's going to evolve.
I thought it was really fun. Hell of a lot better ending than Shido or Izanami in P4. Some people called the voice actor change a dead give away but I figured that was just Atlus being dumb about actors. Considering they changed the real voice as well I wasn't too wrong about that. I really liked his evil voice though, kinda wish they kept it.
If they aren't going to replace the actor they really should just get rid of him. I know Japan is weird and dumb about that shit but by this point he's basically useless anyway since the attendants do most of the talking for him anyway. He has like 5 or 6 lines they keep reusing and then some other girl does all the real talking.
>Ialdaboath used joker's velvet room to imprison him
>Joker's velvet room turns out to be a literal prison
he must have had the chuckle of a lifetime.
This. I just assumed it was natural for a Persona game that he seemed like he was just fucking with me. Didn't see him or the twins coming.
>it was a red herring
And yet he actually does have a different VA when you free him (Kirk Thornton was not Igor in 3 and 4)
Makes me think
Not in Japan he doesn't
Who cares
It was pretty good, even if slightly telegraphed. Makes me wonder about the future velvet rooms considering Japs for some reason retire characters after VA's bite it.
