Now is the right time to buy a 3ds

nintendo just did a banwave, check ebay and craigslist for cheap consoles

Why would people sell their hacked consoles to buy another one?

They wouldn't be able to hack the new one because it would get banned too.

most people arent going to buy a used 3ds to play online, but u can play anything u want with freeshop

>that screen
I know the graphics don't make the game and so on, but the 3ds genuinely looks like a 10 pound fisher price toy. That screen is just ridiculous.

Links? I'm not that good at eBay search

>378106698 the original 3ds looks like a expensive console, i have the 3ds xl and the upper screen is oled

doesn't look that bad in person

What's everyone playing?
just re-homebrewed mine after digging it out with a copy of rxtools from a year and a half ago on it.
Finally got around to the Phoenix Wright games, having a blast.

mostly pokemon sun & moon and mario maker

>games

>haven't turned my 3DS in like a month.
>the only game I played online was MH which uses Capcom severs
how fucked am I? I think my 3DS is still on 11.3

I hope you aren't playing the shitty redrawn Trilogy version that is based off the iOS one.
You should have emulated the NDS ones.

...

People that didn't go online for months got banned too

This. Even at 1% 3D you get that sweet clear image.

I'm gonna be bummed if New 2DS keeps that blurry anti aliasing going.

...

Did they go online after those months? How would one get banned offline?

the ban is serverside and based on data they collected from you in the past
all of your offline functionality is completely unaffected by the ban

Does nintendo realize that the market is going to be flooded with banned consoles, and legitimate new users are probably going to raise a stink when they realize they can't play online?

It doesn't seem like Ninten thought this through.

It's not Nintendo business to care about resellers.

If a seller doesn't state that the system can't go online then that's on the seller.

Yes it does. The 3ds is the only gaming console I had to get rid of because the resolution was too low

Nintendo doesn't give a shit when they know a good chunk of the banned will purchase a N2DS or look into a Switch

do all hacked consoles get banned? i hope mine wasn't one of them. I'm not home at the moment to check tho

I didn't get b7 and I have both CFW and several pieces of pirated software on it.

>was playing Dragon Quest Monsters earlier
>hacked system, pirated game w/ english patch
>friends list still shows it as my last game played
>system is always online
>not banned

Again, retards being retards and doing shit online with the system they shouldn't be and finding excuses as to why it's Nintendo's fault.

Autism detected

if i lose the ability to bank pokemon i'll be devastated

Then your eyes are ass.

>pirated game w/ english patch

would still show up as a official game, wouldnt it?

If i'm not mistaken, it's hard for nintendo to actually tell if you have pirated a game or not because of their stupid eshop system

My eyes are ass but I'm not a little elitist bitch that 240 lines of pixels will stop me from playing a good game. I don't need the game to be 10k Super Ultra HD and I don't get enjoyment from seeing every little pore in some poorly animated model from a boring as fuck movie game.

the screen resolution is 720p, people play pc games on a 21inch on this resolution, your eyes are ass

I remember cfw fags being able to unban themselves after the Pokémon SunMoon bans. Any chance of the same thing happening?

3ds screen is 240p. Switch is 720

There is a bank alternative you could use.

Playing DQ VII. It's my first DQ, so I'm pretty excited about it.

I'm still in the beginning, second fire festival island, but I like the way the story is structured. I can just see it in episodic anime form, they should do that actually, since Toriyama art is GOAT and with the stories and parties, I bet DQ games would make good anime.

Same method will work, but it's better to wait until it's known exactly what causes the ban.

>but it's better to wait until it's known exactly what causes the ban
I'm pretty sure it's homebrew. It's the only thing everyone has in common. Even people who never pirated a game have been banned for installing homebrew CIAs.

my 3ds is hacked to shit, how do i know if I've been banned? i went on pokemon moon last night and connected and traded just fine... does that mean i'm in the clear?

It means you weren't part of the first banwave. There's no telling if you're safe or not.

It shows as the original title which technically could be a giveaway if your region doesn't match.
Then again, I've had SMT IV Final set as the favorite title ever since its release and I'm not banned either.

STAY LOW UNTIL THEY FORGET ABOUT IT ALTOGETHER

FIND ANOTHER CONSOLE/HANDHELD FOR NOW

open friendslist and see if u got a error

>People are going to sell banned modified consoles that can easily be unbanned with a friend seed that'll cost around $40 once demand picks up
If you can get one, sure, but realize you're buying off a mental handicap and it may be covered in feces.
