Hello, we are the worst confidants in the game by far.

kawakami's confidant is one of the most useful in the whole game

chihaya's is amazing in the early ranks to get the stat fortunes and affinity fortunes but it's not worth maxing because you can just read that shit online

hifumi's is pretty essential, I can't imagine playing this without party swapping on the fly

and takemi's lets you get the SP adhesives for the low low, and lets you stock up on healing items like crazy so you don't need to swap in a dedicated healer

I mean Ohya doesn't even do anything, and Tora's abilities are only marginally useful

In what regard? Perks? The character arc?

I thought Tora's was quite useful, as well as having one of the better storylines

being able to get a guaranteed join was great as well as double-dipping on money and item requests

Actually Ann and Makoto have the worst confidants in the game but waifufags won't admit it.

I tried but I wasted too many days working jobs to gain stats when I could have just been gaining stats from confidants

There's literally no reason to bother with Ohya unless you're a Beelzebubfag.

I only worked when I absolutely had to in order to find a Mementos target. All my social stats are at 5. I just need to grind Mementos for like 8 hours and beat the game.

I maxed all confidants on first playthrough though I only barely made it in the end. Took me a long time to notice that the game stop allowing you to meet most confidants if you haven't finished a palace yet and there's only a few days remaining. That cost me several days over the playthrough, should've just gotten to the habit of getting the calling card/boss fight out of the way instead of leaving that hanging.

I would have maxed them all with an extra 2 weeks. I was planning on the game giving me gameplay until April, so when I was given a timer at the beginning of Shido I shat my pants, spammed Chihaya and did nothing but chill. Iwai is 6 and Shinya is 3, RIP

If you max him out, it will do about 50%. It's pretty OP at that point.

I found Get Smoked to be pretty damn useful.

Having more ammo and going through their resistances is pretty cool

If you max out your Iwai confidant he expressly tells the yakuza to have their guys on the inside protect MC. If japanese prisons are as nice and perfect as you seem to think they are, why would he do something like that?

Japanese prisons aren't as bad as American prisons, but since a lot of the people in there are probably yukuza and involved in organized crime, it might be pretty bad.

Also this is a dumb argument since he didn't go to jail he went to juvie.
