JP Studio and Fromsoft are making Phantom Wail, new game removed from the others. Tribal/aztec looking setting, more kung fu orientated, weapons and movesets are something you create yourself and style in your own way, weapons themselves don't have movesets.

Pretty much this. The 3 best setting for Souls are as follows:-

>Dark Fantasy
>Gothic Horror
>Cyberpunk / HR Giger / Blame!

Those are all boring settings and part of why BB was underwhelming for me.

Native mythos is is something that hasn't been touched in in games, but a lot of games take inspiration from Alien or H.P. Lovecraft to the point they're almost parodies. Like how Darth Vader stopped being imposing by becoming a pop culture icon.

Maybe you should have bought BB1 if you ever wanted a BB2.

BB is shit, put 60 hours, plat it and got bored. PvP is shit as well, had over 100 hours on all souls games and Nioh which I'm still playing.

If they're going to make another, they should expand upon the insight system. It's excellent but it only did like 5 things including being a secondary shop.

I would personally like it to be set in an Ultra-Gothic city which has some level of weird sci-fi technology embedded in it. Think horrific cult-like genetic engineering rather than robots or spaceships. It has imposing spiky towers/spires that reach through the clouds. Maybe even into space. Eventually you climb the tallest one and at the very top you find... ???

Piecing together the clues would reveal this to be the future Yharnam. The only cities which come close to what I'm imagining are the Dark Elf cities in The Chronicles of Malus Darkblade. Pic-related.
