I know Capcom is retarded, but it would be particularly so to expect almost double the sales from MH5 in the US compared to Japan no matter how they advertise it. As far as I can see, Dragon's Dogma seems to have been much more successful in the West and it would correspond to those expectations better.

The DD mmo is not a sequel though, plus it's f2p. Do you really think Capcom has the money to have kept US and EU servers running to support an mmo that is barely a source of income of itself? If that were the case we'd be playing it in the West as well without having to jump through hoops and use a sketchy VPN to get in.
