Nice mem nvidia cuck , dont forget those limited edition 10 grand gpus with memeX built in for extra memes
>Socket: LGA 2066
only $1200 plus a new motherboard
WOW, NEW CPUS REQUIRE NO SOCKETS, WHO WOULDA THUNK IT
only on Intel, they shit out a new socket at every opportunity
Of course, it's Israeli corporation, gotta make that mad $$$.
Where the fuck is Vega though? I'm almost saved ~1200 euros and want to finally build my first PC. Was stuck with PS3 and laptop for more than 10 years. But there's nothing I can buy right now, Intel only has 4c garbage while AMD has no videocards.
>Socket: LGA 2066
rumoured to be unveiled at the amd computex press conference on may 30th
and yea dont buy a 4 core at this point in time, my 4690k hits 90-100% usage on most 2016/2017 games
>Socket: LGA 2066
So how bad is it?
>Socket: LGA 2066
ITT: Retards surprised that Intel's new CPU requires new socket despite them doing that for 15 years now.
A socket change a year keep the goyim in fear.
So... what's the price? I know Intel is not known for best bang for your buck...
>new socket again
Fuck you, Intel. I like your CPUs, but stop fucking changing sockets
Welp
My next cpu will be from AMD then
They both have the same roots, idiot
>up to 44 pcie lanes
>*only available on our super expensive premium cpus
same old intel
>pcgameshardware.de
>Intel Skylake X: Bis zu 18 Kerne bestätigt und nicht verlötet
>Intel Skylake X: Up to 18 Cores confirmed and not soldered
JUST
at least AM4 is planned to support 4 generations of cpus, not 1 or 2 like intel
Your trolling needs work young one. no one is that stupid here.
expect a starting point around 500 scaling up with the sku's to 2000
I remember back when AMD changed from AM3 to AM3+ sockets. All I had to do was update my mobo bios firmware to go from AM3 to AM3+.
That was pretty sweet.
>expect a starting point around 500 scaling up
and that doesn't include the price of buying a whole new mobo...
THANK YOU BASED INTEL
AYYMD IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT
AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED ON SUICIDE WATCH
>Socket: LGA 2066
sounds like a lot of fancy kike marketing bs as always
>turbo boost MAX
>Xtreme!
>HYPER!!!
>smart
Let's wait and see how the end result performs and what cost will be.
>((((((((Intel))))))))
>i9
Everyone knows what turbo boost already
6800K->7800X (?) 6c/12t
6850K($610)->7820X($499) 8c/16t
6900k($1000)->7900X($799) 10c/20t
6950X($1700)->7920X($1200) 12c/24t
So the 7800x looks like the best buy right? expect it has a piss poor amount of l2/l3 cache, is 140w compared to ryzen 1600 65w and with a new 2066 motherboard will be almost double the price of a 1600.
I think these will sell poorly, they will need to drop the prices on coffeelake.
>sounds
it is user it always is, worse thing is some of those bullshit things will mess up your oc and you just end up disabling all
Boy you are in for a huge, pricey disappointment.
PC Master Race started as an ironic meme here and then Redditors came and confused it for being serious.
I recommend you get a PS4 Pro + Switch and buy games for the rest of the money

Nice specimen.
Really wondering why it's constantly eating its own feces tho.
It's not being surprised you dumbass, it's calling them out for being kikes.
A socket change a year keeps the goym in fear
Games are insanely overpriced in my country so I just can't afford them. PC is much better because you can pirate plus I want to play a lot of games I missed in years like Shogun 2. I'll get PS4Pro after jailbreak.
I don't think crying about it is going to change anything when you retards keep buying it.
Like, I'm mad too but it won't change a thing, it's always the same story. Intel releases new CPU with new socket, retards complain, everyone buys it anyway, cycle continues.
What's the fucking point?
Shouldn't you be focusing on surviving in the favela instead of pirating video games?
Ah yes
The good ol'
$1200 CPU plus the $300 mobo
Never doubt the jewery of tech companies
>Ryzen dead
Intel is literally bringing out Netburst 2.0, if anything this is a return to the Athlon days.
Ok, this makes sense.
>We've been fucking you in the ass for 20 years, why are you still complaining? Can't you just get used to getting ass raped?
kys
>I love being forced to buy new motherboards
>I'm not going to question why i'll believe whatever they say
>It's for progress only
kek
Is Windows 7 supported?
but those are mainstream and not HEDT sockets
I dont know man I think it will change with ryzen out. I would rather buy a ryzen for half the price or less of one of these i9s.
Its not worth double the price for an extra 500mhz and maybe 10% IPC increase.
>ignoring what I said
>shitposting some more
You know what, I'll speak in your language, get cancer and die because you're clearly too fucking retarded to understand what voting with your wallet means.
Seriously, you retards are fucking illiterate.
Go complain more and buy it anyway thus changing nothing. RETARDS.
>Buying Intel in 2017
Wew
That image is painfully 90s.
I miss the 90s.
No, the kikes have won.
They are ALL in on it.
Watch They Live by John Carpenter to know what I mean. There is no good vs. bad guys they are ALL the fucking bad guys.
Haha you blatantly have this saved don't you? you suck at trolling kid.
Whahahah you fuckin idiot.
Probably gonna get one of these. Feels good not being a poorfag.
Socket: LGA 2066
same person, why didn't you just open with that idiot lol
>12+ cores
>games can't even properly use 4.
Call back 2200 when games can actually use those cores, right now it's just useless waste.
its not 2010 anymore, many games use 6-8 cores now. 4c/4t will be obsolete very soon, even with coffelake Intel is making the i5 4core/8thread and will hopefully be around $200
Their core use on the last cores is ~20%-30%
basically a joke as you could pack them on one core. Just more marketing than good utilization.
AMD does the same shit, Threadripper/EPYC will require a new socket
Socket: LGA 2066
>Many games
No they don't. Battlefield uses 8 cores. That's fucking it.
having 6-8 cores on 30% is better than 4 cores at 90-100%
what happens when you upgrade the 4 core pc to volta/navi and it has to push out more frames?
VFIO
Eh, Netburst sucked major ass from the get go while Sandy was extremely competent on release.
>Socket: LGA 2066.
>>Socket: LGA 2066
You still play at 1080p? lol enjoy your 16 cores.
>gonna need to buy a new motherboard for that new processor goyim
The primary cores are already at 100%+. The whole parralization is still shit cause the cores hardly get utilized equally. You are either way limited by the primary thread sitting on the first core. More cores just means more small tasks getting flipped arround more but it can't decrease the load of the primary thread on the first core.
Result is it's still running the same way. What you need it primarily better programming utilizing cores better. Until you get that more cores can't help.
The Intel one is 30~ Mhz less if that matters also I don't think the game can properly use all cores but I honestly don't know
POOTEL STUTTERING HOUSEFIRES
Overwatch is extremely popular and uses 6 cores. Ubisoft games like AssCreed/Division greatly benefit from more cores. Crysis 3 grass level near the start runs like ass on any i5. thats just off the top of my head, I bet strategy games like total war warhammer run way better on i7/hex cores compared to i5.
I bet you bought a Dual Core E8400 over a Quad Core Q6600 because "games only use 2 cores".
If you are looking to keep a pc for a few years, a quad core is a really poor choice at this moment in time, you should have bought it 5+ years ago. Been around a decade and are on their way out.
pic related not even that demanding of a game pegs my 2500k @ 4.8ghz, stutters like fuck unless I use DSR 1440p and cap the framerate to 75
Its 8 cores you donut
>oi vey here's a new CPU for you, it has MOAR COARS (moar coars are always better that's why AMD faildozer did so well since programmers AAAAAALWAYS make use of all these coars)
>but wait, you need a new mobo for that CPU!
>and of course if you use Windows you'll have to pay for a new Windows license since you swapped out mobos :^)
Fuck off retard. my OC'd 3570k is now running games at 60+ fps on high to ultra. This thing has not let me down for four years.
I forgot to add
>Now running games at 60 FPS plus 1440p
Im on 120hz not 60hz, if you just want 60fps locked an i5 will be fine for most games (not all i.e. crysis 3)
higher framerate = more work for the cpu, and when it hits 100% enjoy them stutters
Did these new processors really need to require a new type of RAM or did they just do it on purpose to sell something new and expensive?
1080p and uncapped framerate is much more cpu demanding than 1440p locked 60fps. thats something you do to avoid the cpu bottleneck of 1080p and uncapped framerate/stutters
DDR4 has been out for months, what are you talking about?
You can still buy 1151 boards with DDR4 slots.
Literally DoA.
60+fps in 1440p is more GPU bound than CPU bound. It's really only when you try to hit 120-144fps, usually at 1080p, that the CPU difference shows. At that point RAM speeds also become a more important factor. That's why AMD wanted reviewers to run benchmarks of Ryzen 7 in 4k, so that the performance disparity between the i7-7700k wouldn't show because of the GPU bottleneck.
Those things aren't even soldered, so they will be housefires. HUGE housefires. The amd ryzen is way more efficient
I agree that the i5s since sandybridge have been a great buy, but you'd have to be retarded to buy a modern i5, especially when you can get a 6c/12t cpu with slightly less IPC for the same price.
Modern i5s (kaby lake) are literally the same as sandybridge with a 20% ipc boost. I want to replace my 2500k and theres no way id shell out $300-350 for the same cpu with a 20% ipc boost when I see my 2500k hitting 100% usage in nearly every 2016/2017 game unless I cap the framerate.
>"Sup Forums told me based Intel's latest chips are awful but fuck them, I know Sup Forums has my back!"
LGA 2011 is over 6 years old you narcoleptic retards.
If buying a new motherboard is too much for you then maybe you shouldn't be buying a $1000 cpu
Good goy
Why do people bash AMD gpus for power consumption, yet when their CPUs are using less than half of the Intel equivalent no one says a word?
pic related 8 core amd uses less power than 4 core intel. muh electricity bill, muhh perf/watt
good goyim, dont forget to throw your 2066 socket mobo in the trash after a year as it wont support anything else!
Perf/watt stopped mattering on march 3rd 2017. Oddly enough that was the day ryzen 7 released - I wonder if there is a connection?
>tfw Haswell i7
Are there any shit i7s? I have an i7 6700 or whatever. Why would I need to spend more and have to buy a new fucking motherboard
any i7 back from the 2600k is still okay for gaming at 60hz
why would you even consider upgrading from skylake yet? its for people with older cpus/need more cores for productivity/businesses
Neither ryzen or these new i9 processors will support ddr5 ram coming q4 this year so upgrading to either is a waste.
>not waiting forever for quantum computers
