Idiots that will pay it.
...
inflation due to the Wii U's failure. Gotta make a profit somehow. Nintenbros got deep pockets they can afford it
the air inside, this apply to most nintendo product
It's made out of nintendium.
if it was, it wouldn't break when you run over it with a car
>$90 because people are too lazy to move the dock to another TV in their house
The nintendo logo on the side.
It's the same shit as apple garbage. These products are worth 20% of their price tops but underage idiots with mommy's credit card always fall for t
Is that why the Switch breaks when you dock it inside?
Variable resolution, usb ports, it's aesthetic

Maybe because its a luxury and not a necessity then?
Nintendo's greed
Doesn't it come with a dock?
yes, but you wouldn't want to buy the whole thing again just because your dog chewed on the dock, would you?
after pokemon go and the wii, nintendo could shit out 3 generations of shit consoles like the wii u and still have millions
Of course not, but what kind of shitty owner lets their dog eat gadgets?
If I remember in another thread it was due to the chip it it being pretty expensive.
fpbp
Fuck anime
Because it overclocks/underclocks less the console when you plug it in.
That requires electricity which is why its a lot of money

Aren't you supposed to buy consoles for the exclusives though? If that wasn't the case then just get a high end pc.
I have a pc/WiiU/switch master race. Also the portability of the switch is really cool and I've used it way more than my wiiU's second screen.
Because it has a graphics chip inside which is how the Switch's performance is doubled when you plug it in.
The dock does have a pretty decent slice of profit margin on top of its base price, but on the flip side look at the hub you're linking to
>1 review
>Cheap chink shit
>All the similar hubs at remotely that price are also cheap chink shit with bad reviews on reliability.
When you look at a decent hub from a more reputable company like Belkin, they tend to be in the $50-$70 range. and those usually aren't externally powered, so there's no cost for a power cord either.
So yeah, Nintendo could really lower the price, but you're misrepresenting the cost of the product.
"Nintendium" hasn't been a thing since the Gamecube/GBA era.
The wii was far stronger than any other hardware that gen, had mine fall off a dresser onto hard wood mid game and not even a scratch or dent on either the console or disc. Game didnt flinch either
If the DS wasnt a clam it might have fared better
The logo alone makes a $10 dollars USB port worth $90.
Nintendo is the new Apple.

It's something that's not even supposed to sell since everyone has one and chances for it to break are also low.
Most of the cost is to make it worth stocking it at all for the handful that may need a replacement or want one for another room.
It should be about $10.00 - $30.00
>If the DS wasnt a clam it might have fared better
GBA SP, no excuses.
>he doesn't let his dog chew electronics
haha what a faggot, next thing you're going to tell me is that you don't put peanut butter in your balls so your dog can lick it.
Fug your right.
I still have both my GBAs kicking around.
DS was a mistake
Isn't the dock just $60? The other $30 comes from the HDMI cable and AC adapter, doesn't it?
Not to make this a company vs company thing but you fags seem to have no issue with Xbox and PS controllers costing $65 when you know damn well they shouldn't be.
Switch joycons cost even more than that
Nintendo (TM) logo and hordes of fanboys
Okay, but we're not talking about controllers here. And even if we were, Switch Joy-Cons are $80.
this, it's fucking ridiculous and if they're fucked up from first shipping well fuck. Also I can't even get my hands on another pair.
Same principle applies.
Also if you've been playing video games for longer than a single gen you'd know that everything cost more during the initial launch.
So you can use a usb-c to hdmi converter and it actually works?
To be fair it's essentially two controllers. That's where the price is coming from.
No. They encrypted the datastream.
No retard. The switch dock does more than just output video to TV. The docks tiny little PCB that people shitpost about sends signals to switch to tell it to up the resolution, to overclock the CPU/GPU and to alter the fan speed. Something a regular hdmi can't do.
And the dock also charges the system.
Wiis were infamous for making donuts on the underside of games if you fucked with them while they ran, but otherwise yeah it was pretty structurally sound.
The Switch is just a soulless cashgrab, even moreso than the Wii U which at least supported the Wii's accessories and such, the fact that a new-age system has such a miniscule library and insists on ZERO backwards compatibility both in games and hardware makes it so, so obvious.
>THIS IS WHAT NINTENDIES ACTUALLLY BELIEVE
Nah, switch has a headphone jack.
Nintendo fans who enable Nintendo shit behavior towards its fanbase

...never made sense. en.wikipedia.org
You are trying too hard faggot. Go upload this to your dying meme page.
If that specifically happens, you can get just the dock (no AC adapter) from Nintendo's web store for $50 IIRC.
Doesn't explain why the Pro controller is $10 more than Xbone/PS4 controllers.
Nothing has objective value. Things are worth what people are willing to pay.
>This post is being ignored
Holy shit. I had no idea the dock also came with a couple extras.
It's fine, user. Let it go.
...
has to, pretty sure it's not intended as a replacement but rather to be put in another room so you can dock your switch in multiple locations
wouldn't do you much good without even a AC adapter
I didn't do much research into it, but it certainly doesn't help the narrative that autists on Sup Forums have been painting regarding the dock.
