I haven't bought a game retail in nearly 2 or 3 years
so no
No
I don't think I've purchased a game from retail in years. You'd be hard pressed not to find a good deal online.
I've been buying digital games for 6 years, so i don't leave my house to buy games.
>leave comfy home
>to enter a place full of ignorant and arrogant people
nah
>Online is not retail
Uh, what
I don't enter store's.
I still wonder into Target's video game section out of habit. They never have shit worth buying, just the top 10 obvious games most people tend to purchase. We really gotta go all digital because there's no point anymore.
I see Blizzard finally added the new Goblin models.
No.
Why would I go outside?
No, Why should I?
Only when females are around.
>videogame section
Of all the places I can think of, the video games are in more of a general electronics section, so no.
>not picking up every hentai game in the store with limited edition tit mouse pads to the qt at register
its like youre a giant faggot or something
You know what I mean, physical store retail where you'll find colorful characters such as Liu Kang half naked, girl sitting on the floor in front of 3DS' playing her 3DS, and a fat guy who slaps your girlfriend's ass causing you to question what you'll do to him; among others.
No I'm not 15 years old anymore
Why would this cause "embarrassment" today? Video games are main stream normal folk shit now, you can walk right into the gamur isle at a best buy and no one would bat an eye.
Unless it's absolute Anime weebshit then no.
You see it filled with children and then a grown ass fat neckbeard walks in and stands out.
I guess OP means you might get associated with people like his image? I don't know.
I'm pathetic and take my gf with me to shop for games and shit because it feels less embarrassing
Fat neckbeards should be embarrassed in literally any situation.
>''I'm pathetic''
>Rick and Morty image
Indeed you are.
>Physical video game stores
is this real or only a Sup Forums meme?
Most videogame sections have fat ass neckbeards anyway
Kids are the actual exception
Probably if the only place in town that stocks video games is a local toy store or something like that. But let's be fair, if you're living in that small of a community for there not even to be an electronics store or a gamestop nearby, you're probably living in the middle of nowhere or in some third world shithole, so you probably don't even have a choice in the matter unless you travel to the nearest town that has a gamestop or someshit.
Not anymore, I've stopped caring a while ago
Normals will just look inside the store, see the fat neckbeard and go; "Oh look it's the nerdy guy you see in video game stores just like what I saw in Big Bang Theory haha nerds amirite?!". Then they'll forget about you in the next 30 seconds max and go on with their lives.
No, in fact I always search for cheap used ps3 games hoping for something that's not AC, fifa, cod or some other shit game.
I also like to look at the pc section and laught at the prices or the titles
Only a beta faggot would care about this.
Ah yes, Sup Forums, the bastion of alpha males.
Where do you think you are posting, user? It's certainly not /fit/.
My friends dragged me into a gamestop a while ago, after 3 minutes i preferred to wait outside.
Reason was that some guy entered that looked like the epitome of neckbeardery - like a fucking meme pick from 2009.
>I also like to look at the pc section and laught at the prices or the titles
wow you sure told em champ.
...
>buying vidya from brick and mortar stores
Online has a cheaper and wider selection, digital is often cheaper. There's no reason to shop for vidya at a brick and mortar store unless they have a great sale or you have the IQ of a houseplant.
full pic?
Why would you? Better question, why would you buy your vidya from a store?
>2017
>buying physical
Get with the times, grandpa.
What about back then, when you used to?
>Why would this cause "embarrassment" today?
it's the games that i buy
no
I'm the store owner
i don't go out silly
No, because I don't play video games.
I let everyone know as soon as I enter the section that it's for my little brother.
Target, walmart, yes
other places no
Anytime customers are treated to a level of antitheft like that I feel uncomfortable. Same reason I can't walk in sunglass hut (prices aside)
>reddit and memey
die
Why would I?
I use to work inventory for several retail chains. One of the most depressing things were the selection of games and accessories for many of them, especially WalMarts and Targets (never dealt with KMarts and Meijer's were often good). The reason places like WalMart returned stock of many Vita systems, games, and accessories, was simply because they refused to sell anything niche. So after shit like Terrira and Minecraft, they saw no point in continuing to sell the shit. Target thought it would take off and regretted it.
Not sure how well things like the Wii U went, as I was out the door and into my new job by the time it took off, but I remember everyone being confused as to what it was (addon for the Wii, just a tablet, etc) Because Nintendo didn't do shit for it until right before release.
Why do you care about some nigga looking at you perusing video games? Screw him and his uppity attitude.
No. Who the fuck cares about that?
Stores still have video game sections? I haven't bought a game in a store since 2007. My town lost its Game X-change, Hastings, Blockbuster and family video chains years ago.
Gamestop only puts out cases
How is this different?
...
Yeah, and they sell those copies as new. I don't buy from gamestop either because they're even worse. Best Buy, Fry's or Amazon.
Spoiler that shit, OP.
Jesus.
>guts contents
>sometimes throwing content away
>sells opened boxes, with stickers all over them, as "new"
Nah, like there are better alternatives now. Amazon and Best Buy definitely with their gamer reward things, like 20% off new releases and getting them release day in the mail.
Who cares? What the fuck? New generation is doomed
Nope.
If you feel embarrassed, then you must have self-esteem problems.
stop posting this stupid punchable face
Should I be?
Video games in general embarrass me.
I'm glad I have a circle of friends and acquaintances I can have casual small talk with about in-depth vidya shit, though. I could never casually just drop how I started playing the first Fallout on an emulator or how I'm trying to get into the Shin Megami series starting with a PSP remake.
If I do talk about either of those things with the common video game crowd that's composed of mostly casuals or """CORE""" gamers it'd either be a 1-way conversation about something they have no clue about or some shitty discussion about the latest AAA release and how it's so awesome.
So, god forbid I ever do some dumb shit like talk about video game apparel or toys like those shitty, overprice Funco pop dolls.
I'll keep hiding my power level unless someone else implies their own or reveals themself. There's nothing worse than droning on about your favorite hobby or medium to someone who doesn't give a god damn about it.
Wow this hurt to read.
Elaborate
>enter gamestop for the first time in years to get a PS4 and P5
>1/4 of store is Funko Pop dolls
There can't be that much of a market for these things, can there?
You sure told him.
No, because im not a fat weeb neckbeard.
