How come nobody talks about Hollow Knight? Did it just fall under the radar?
bump
It got talked about a LOT when it launched, but there's just no reason to replay it again. Other than that, threads pop up from time to time, it's definitely not dead.

It's decent but the backtracking is more than it needs to be
OP here, I'm only about halfway through the game, but I guess I can put my favorites so far down.

I love most of the different areas, but so far the city of tears has been my favorite.

The Soul Master suddenly smashing through the ceiling caught me off guard, and I barely won the fight.

I hadn't upgraded my sword for the Mantis Elders, so I had a pretty hard time beating them. It was so satisfying to finally win though.
Yeah the game's biggest flaw for me so far is the fact that you go back for your money. It might work for dark souls, but it's just a hassle here.
it came out months ago! this should be on /vr/
I pirated it, got tired of stuttering in the worst possible moments, then uninstalled.
Didn't seem like a good game anyways so whatever.

I liked the dead atmosphere of the ancient basin I just wish there was a faster way to get there, I hated walking to that place so much

Because it was released like two months ago you fool. You think a several months old small production game can last on the worlds fastest moving video game forum? If you're a shill you really need to work on your posts.
Regardless, the game is absolutely fantastic and one of the best released in the last few years in any genre.
Wait for DLC and I assure we will have awesome threads again.

Go Suck dicks like the filthy faggots you are somewhere.
You are late to the party mate. Back when it released we had a permanent thread for weeks. It was fun as fuck when nothing was known, not even the map, and everyone was sharing info to figure out the map, items and moves.
I'm waiting for the switch version, but it looks really good.
At least the devs came out and said it's going to be soon-ish. Hopefully that means by the end of summer or something.
Wait, there's DLC coming? Is it paid?
>How come nobody talks about Hollow Knight?
Kill yourself, tons of threads. Reached "go to vg" tier in no time.
It's just a mediocre game ripping off others. People who cared already played it. There's nothing to talk about.
It's a perfectly good game possibly the best this year if didn't stutter like a retard on coke every time you got hit, but good games don't belong on Sup Forums in the first place just mediocre rehashed console exclusives, shitposts and anime.
I don't know. I don't dislike it and everything's solid in the game, but I don't feel a want to continue playing. I suppose it's more of a "me" issue, but I feel like I've played this game far too many times already in the past and besides the amazing music and artwork, there's not much enticing me to continue.
The DLC are free.
Waiting for the Switch port.
I don't feel like sitting at my PC to play it.
There will be 2 free content additions and 1 paid-for DLC in the semi-near future.
Assumably, Hornet is the paid, expansions to the main game will be the freebies. But nobody knows for sure yet.

They were one of the hypest bosses, and the fact that you gain the respect of the village afterwards adds to it. Beating them with an unupgraded nail felt amazing too
>City of Tears, duh

>The upcoming DLC where you get to rim her qt bug asshole
You should think about sitting at your PC and 360 noscoping yourself in the head sempai.
Paphanada, user...
Great game, one of the best metroidvania to come in the last 5 years or so. Also kickstarter was involved and it didn't end badly.
City of tears is the best place, that music and rain never gets old. Just sitting on a bench there watching the window and the rain for a moment was great.
I don't know what was my favorite boss though. I liked the Colosseum challenges the most, loved the dodging and fighting in there, and how it was always changing its approach with different obstacles and shit.

Didnt even notice til Shirou pointed it out. Fucking newfags.
>and it didn't end badly
Actually, while the game turned out fucking amazing, they didn't even deliver everything promised.
But that's cause they had so much other bullshit planned that they either delayed it or decided to dump some of it in future expansions/Hornet DLC.

This is the best game I have played this year. Looking forward to the future DLC's.
I don't know, I'm about 2 or so hours into it and it's just not clicking with me. And this is from someone who's favorite game is Super Metroid
Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely gorgeous and the soundtrack is lovely. But the moment-to-moment exploration cand combat just feel so dull. Every screen is so cluttered they all blend together and nothing feels too memorable despite looking so nice.
Does it pick up significantly? I'm mostly through the green area with the hot water
You're in the forest?
It picks up after you get dashing (Which you get after beating the boss of that area), which makes combat more fun.
It does pick up faster as you progress your character, getting the movement abilities really changed everything for me.
You need to unlock skills more skills.
It's a 20-25 hour game for a first playthrough, so yeah it picks up quite a bit.
At your current state you haven't really unlocked anything significant, so that's understandable. Many who played and liked other Metroidvanias have enjoyed Hollow Knight immensely
>20-25 hour
>TFW first run was almost 40 hours
I guess I'm trash.
>20-25 hour game for a first playthrough
Somehow, that feels like a rushed first playthrough.
I used cheat engine for the Radiance because it's a bullshit boss.
Yeah I'm talking the minimum, mine took 35 hours, personally
Well to be fair they delivered the Colosseum, which they didn't even reach.
I'd say it's the second hardest boss in the game but it's more bullet hellish than the rest so I don't know if it's even comparable to the other normal bosses.
>memorize the easy patterns
>spam soul explosion spell
gg ez no re
I'm a fan of the genre but this game just looks so visually bland and unappealing that I don't feel any desire to play it.
use the shout spell when it's right above you, the fight becomes much easier that way
Except they didn't?
It was supposed to be a big quest with a bunch of bosses and mysteries.
Since the base groundwork for it was there they just pasted a bunch of enemies in there and called it a day.
Why delete the sketch that's already done.
This t b h
It looks like a fucking mobile game
that's the only thing I don't like about it
