Why are console players so fucking retarded, I genuinely don't get it.

>ps3 price
>$600
>this is outrageous

>ps4 price
>$400 + $50 * 5 = $650 (practically everyone plays online)
>100 percent acceptable

Do they literally not think more than 1 sec ahead?

>1997 was 30 years ago

You are comparing one time purchase to a 5 year membership to something, youre retarded

Yeah a near compulsory 5 year membership for almost everyone. Why the fuck do you think the xbox was so much cheaper at launch?

You're comparing money at two different time periods.

$600 in 2006 was $730 in 2017 dollars.

$400 in 2014 is $420 in 2017 dollars.

it's funny how PS3 had no games at launch yet when the switch had literally only one game everybody defends it.

I have never paid for ps plus. What makes you think I play multiplayer games on my PS4?

$1 = $1, unless you're Valve

>buying consoles at launch

>almost everyone
Pic is for before some retard blatantly lies and says no one else plays online

PS3 had Demon's Souls
PS4 has Bloodborne
They're worth every cent if you aren't a fucking casual

I do not play online on PS4, every single worthwhile exclusive is single player.

>I've never heard of inflation before

>he doesn't know what inflation is

ps3sux

Inflation is a made-up excuse to enable sellers to charge you more for the same thing. If you're an uninformed consumer who buys consoles first-hand (and possibly at launch), you're a fucking idiot.

for me it's all the same since I don't really earn much more money than 11 years ago and everything else costs more, so I have less for video games

JUST

>he thinks 600 dollars is a lot of money

to put it in perspective, you'll go see a movie at the price of 10-20 bucks. 30-60 movies can be seen for the price of a ps4. 30-60 movies is 60-120 hours of entertainment. i would assume anyone who buys a console will use it longer than 60-120 hours in its lifetime

>$100 for 40gb
lol

that's not all

the 20GB model didn't have wifi builtin

not that I'd care for wifi on a console that's right next to my router

oh and, the 60GB model had card readers, which the 20GB also didn't have

so wifi, +40GB, and card readers kinda explain the price gap

better off with a 20GB and adding your own hdd if you didn't need any of those though

Companies like to pull this shit as if nobody would notice. The basic Wii U model was a bad deal as well. And vita memory cards.
