How the fuck do you play Disgaea 5? This shit is confusing as all hell. How do Innocents work? How do Items work? What is mana? Etc.?
How the fuck do you play Disgaea 5? This shit is confusing as all hell. How do Innocents work? How do Items work...
just jerk off to the girls
That doesn't help play the game though.
nobody "plays" disgaea
Then what's the point of it?
Did you skip the tutorial?
Innocents are the things that are attached to items that can give stat boosts.
Items are items.
Mana are the currency you use in the Dark Assembly and for skills.
and that's what happens when some user instead of just playing the game trying to do EVERYTHING from the start
Don't be that user, just explore game at your pace.
>modern players paying attention to tutorials
not anymore, sadly.
Is this new way to start disgaea threads?
Like monhun ones with "where is lock on" and shit?
Anyway, I posted best generic, so you can all rest at ease.
How about you use your brain a little.
This shit is straightforward as fuck, especially compared to any of the other Disgaea games. They dumbed down basically all mechanics and hold your hands to a silly degree, if you are really having that much trouble you might want to just sell the game and go back to mashing X in the JRPG of your choice.
>shittendo retard can't figure out an incredibly easy srpg
Top lol
well I wouldn't be too hard on user
don't you remember PC release?
Weeks of a threads about dying to Midboss and crying over game being grindy
shit was glorious
This game is more casual friendly than ever and people are having difficulty.
But this is best generic.
>liking useless fat
Go be flat somewhere else, Archer.
>Archer
>How do Innocents work?
Don't worry about them until you beat the story.
>How do Items work?
Use your fucking brain.
>What is mana?
Mostly for proposing bills, and I think upgrading abilities. Play around with it a bit, but don't obsess over it.
>dying to midboss
holy shit how can someone be so bad?
People tend to overlook what the mage and archer are standing on.
Are innocents going to be pretty useless early on? I've spent some time grinding in the item world and I seem to get way more out of just enhancing the level instead of focusing on innocent boosting.
Alright sluts, English or Japanese voices? How is the dub?
They're really not that big of a deal during the story. Though statisticians may be useful.
Innocents and the Item World altogether are things you can ignore entirely until postgame. Don't let yourself be overwhelmed. If anything, taking advantage of the item world makes the main story boringly easy and it's not as fun.
>make ninja
>give him feathers and weapon strengthened through item world
>he can walk nearly the entire map in one turn
>oneshots everything
>edgy as fuck
I'm breaking the game completely way too early but it's too fun numberwhoring
Depends on the innocent. Statisticians, managers, and brokers are worth getting as soon as possible.
Is this worth $60 or just wait for a sale?
30 tops.
I'm also new to the game and trying to figure stuff out as well. Only thing I want to know is that is there an easier way to add/remove innocents to equipped items? There's so many menus in the game that managing party gear is a bit annoying. I couldn't figure out a way to equip innocents without removing a weapon first. Also does it matter what the innocent is attached to?
>I'm breaking the game completely way too early but it's too fun numberwhoring
that's means you are playing game correctly, user
>Also does it matter what the innocent is attached to?
I don't think so. You should be fine having them on anything you have equipped.
It's $30 on PS4.
you forget seasonpass
I never bothered with the seasonpass. Is it worth getting?
Only if you really want to use the characters.
I did it for her
If you want to use those characters, yes. A few of them are incredibly good.
Metallia and Salvatore for farming Stat Serums, Raspberyl for raising Innocents faster, Adell for having the highest single target damage in the game by quite a lot, Zetta for being able to use more units, etc
Male or female brawler. Who's better?
Reincarnated my blue mage into this class. Did I fuck up?
the girls
no
nigga calm down
you can play however you want, that's the point
you can't fuck up characters completely, if weird setup doesn't work - try new one.
or just make must dumb setup out there - and make it work thru sheer overleveling or something
Thread sucks, post more best girl
Nope. Magic Knight is actually better with casting elemental spells thanks to her evilities.
OK
...
makai wars when
>download digeaea 1
> immediatly quits during tutorial scene
not that is isn´t funny or whatever. But learning a srpg and complete new abilities, how to play etc. while english is not your 1st language can really be boring.
Especially if you play on pc and can´t just chill in bed while playing.
I will just wait for my switch and then start disgaea.
>makai wars when
never ever
>while english is not your 1st language can really be boring.
>he didn't learn english thru videogames
>he doesn't own PSP
literally a pleb, come on user, don't be pleb.
How do you think random people online like me learned english? by playing bloody videogames
if you can't handle simple tutorial, wtf is fucking wrong with you
Whats there to do in disgaea games besides completing the story?
about 80% of a actual post game content, depending on the version
You mongloid of course, I can speak, read and write english. How else can I fucking post here. The difference is, that translating everything in your brain can be exhausting after a while and tutorials are read heavy.
Also I just wanted to play an easy get in game like some Jump & runs.
The game explains everything.
>needing to translate everything to understand
I can be mongoloid, sure, but at least I'm not a pleb
If you need to TRANSLATE everything before understanding, nigga, you are doing this foreign language thing incorrectly. Practice more, you pleb, so maybe you'll get on my mongoloid level eventually
bump cause I find this thread filled with clueless people hilarious
I like you
>innocents
monsters that live in weapons, they provide a bonus and when you "kill them" in the item world they double in power and can be moved between weapons
>items
each type of weapon (sword, axe, armor, etc) has 40 weapons, (commonly refered to as rank), the weakest would be a rank 1 and the strongest is rank 40 and they all get stronger the higher the rank.
>mana
essentially a 2nd exp bar, only you spend it like currency on things like upgrading skills or passing bills in the Dark Assembly. When you kill something, whatever level it was is how much mana you get, only the person who killed it gets the mana (I can't remember how it works with team attacks unfortunately)
Is she in 5?
Nope. She was removed for reasons unknown.
Damn.
I never used her, anyway. I couldn't find a way to make her fun, but also not overlap with other units' roles.
You could always try to do a monster heavy run with her as your only humanoid.
>using monsters
I played disgaea 1 and did not enjoy it, the level design and balance seemed really half-assed and I got laharl to be overpowered without grinding. Should I bother trying later games or are they more of the same?
They get better each and every game.
>Unlock Pram
>Send to Christo to be adjacent to her
>End turn
Every stage is now cake
How's everyone's Incest Farm doing?
Finally made a 900* statistician and now waiting two Professionals to start fuckng
This game is boring as fuck
You just can't appreciate stat management.
Can someone just give a brief rundown of what I do / can do in 3? I've skimmed some faqs and it looks like the story mode and some stuff in the item world for level 30+ items.
I'm sorry if this is a broad question, but what do you do besides just leveling your characters up?
Beat...the game? And then do the post game content if you like it? That's a pretty autistic question, champ.
>get on my level
>english is shit
Is this the scene where two retards argue about who is more retarded?
