I adore the Gothic series for their world and quest design but Witcher has far more interesting dialogue, fluff and presentation. They are very different games.

JRPGs 90% of the time force you down a very narrow dreadfully boring corridor throughout the entire game, have the absolute most shitty and annoying cartoon characters, horrendous nonsensical story and no choice in stat progression. RPGs are the worst genre for Japanese developers. The formula hasn't progressed in the 30 years they've been making them. For western developers this is where they excel.

I admit the stamina system in that game was it's biggest flaw because it ran out so quick, but all you gotta do is use stamina potions.

Besides graphical mods, I use only one mod to retcon this.

Makes it so it drains when swinging weapons only and is balanced very well. Also increases running speed. It's the only real flaw in the game that needs fixing.
