Looks like rain...

WHY DOES IT RAIN SO FUCKING MUCH IN THIS GAME?

must be a witcher thread

literally the best original soundtrack ever

youtube.com/watch?v=q6AFFvi9mGQ&t=32m23s

WHAT NOW YOU PIECE OF FILTH

They acquired the tree swaying effect from Nvidia Gameworks and overdid the amount of time it rains in order to show it off.

Does anyone think Blood and Wine is anything but the best part of TW3?

well it sure isn't the combat.

Cringe

After you help the mages escape Novigrad. I told Triss that I loved her so she would bang me. Did I ultimately negate the endgame romance with Yennifer by doing this? Is there a real option later to pick who you want to be with? Yennifer seems like the better pick in the end

> alternative outfit for triss

into the trash it goes!

the world and side quests were neat, the main story is laughable.

If you want to romance Yennefer you still can

If you romance both of them you get the better ending

in what way was the main story in BaW? and i'm not saying that in order to portray it as good even though i loved BaW i just don't think it's worse than the side quests. those vineyard side quests weren't the finest of quests you could play

The world of The Witcher does not take place on Earth.

the entire dlc revolves around syanna magically finding the one vampire in all of creation who can, because reason, fall for a human and throws a temper tantrum.

Damn you're ugly.

who says he is the only vampire who can fall for a human?

the main story has amazing quests like beyond hill and dale or the hidden elder i doubt it's less fun than the sidequests and i loved some of the sidequests in BaW especially talking roach

No you don't. I know they both leave if you do that.

Is that STLM? Did they finally fix the awful sunrises and godrays?

>Beauclair is being attacked by hordes of vampires
>Combat ost kicks in
>Geralt comments "Nice tune" while hacking at blood sucking scum

The world yes. It's lush and vibrent and makes it feel like a real fantasy, just like the first 2 books.

But story wise, Hearts of Stone wins. Much more focused, better paced, and Blood and Wine has the stupid bit where in 3 fucking days you couldn't find Anrietta's sister. I'll shit, that's Geralt, and he at that point not only knows enough about her, but has Regis of all fucking things to help him.

Picked up Witcher 1 and 2 during the RPG week on GoG.

Am I in for a wild ride?

yes

it's fun. but don't drop it at the start witcher games get interesting 5+ hours in

I couldn't believe it when i lost all of my saves when i switched to the ps4 pro. it wouldn't recognize the dlc, and without that the saved were useless.

I've not long started chapter 2 on Witcher 1. Digging it so far.

Strap in for a proper ploughin' ya whoreson

> chapter 2

you already got to the part it gets good. this is a long ass chapter though it might still drain you at times. it improves more with 3 and 4

Yeah, I've heard a lot about chapter 4 being utterly amazing.

Apparently the game was being developed linearly and so CD Projekt Red got better at development as the story progressed.

Indeed. It apparently takes place on a country where 6 rainy days a week are the norm.

Is 3 really that much better if youve played the first 2 before? I tried witcher2 but couldnt really get into it...

Why does Geral question Vesemir about the crossbow? Do witchers not use ranged weaponry?

>bought the GOTY
>didn't even finish the game

Everytime I get tricked by the complete game jew

You didn't finish it yet because there's so much good content, or because you have shit taste?

I mean if you wanna drop it, you should at least read a recap of all the events that happened during 2, or better yet, watch the cutscenes on youtube. It's not essential but there is definitely stuff you'll miss.

What part are you on?

I'm a little curious guys. I really like the Cat gear bonuses but I find the grandmaster hood to be fucking horrendous. Problem is I picked the game up on console for cheap and I don't want to get it on PC. What's a set with similar combat bonuses that isn't hard to look at?

Not that guy, but i just kinda got overwhelmed by the game's size.

By the time you get to skellige or however you spell it it starts to slow down and seems like you trog through the game

...

I don't know, I was having fun then I didn't play it for 2 days, and after that I didn't really want to get back to it.
It was great but it'll feel weird to go back to it now that it's been months.

Right after landing in Skellige. I finished the previous parts while doing all the sidequests and open world stuff to find.

that fuckin B&W theme,
love that shit

Play the dlc instead and go back to skellige later, depending on your level.

Yennefer brapping

Just don't use the hood.

>I finished the previous parts while doing all the sidequests and open world stuff to find.

Then you probably just got burned out. Because there is A LOT of shit to do in order to clear the map.

Unless you go in severely underleveled, the DLC is going to make Skellige into a cakewalk

Skellige's strength lies in it's main quest line more then the other base game areas. Just buy the maps from those random merchants, jump around islands collecting quests, then inter-splice main quests with side quests. It becomes much more enjoyable. Also, honestly fuck getting everything in the water, its the games only chore I'd say.

You also probably have burnout too, since you just cleared a lot of shit.

Yeah probably, I checked and I'm at 50 hours already which is multiple times what I spend on other games. Maybe someday, but I'm guessing that with all the DLCs I'm looking at another 50 hours.

They don't

Friendly reminder that you have the entire game soundtrack and several high res wallpapers in your game files on PC

Not sure about on consoles

>you went to the wrong neighborhood

B&W alone is definitely around 30

I should have checked instead of downloading the OST

You fucked up, the "I love you" line ensures you can no longer romance yen without them both leaving you

Playing through blood and wine atm
Is this excalibur sword thing from the lady in the lake the best silver sword in the game?

It was going to be isometric like the Baldurs Gate games and Geralt wasnt even the protagonist at one point. Theyve really come a fucking long way in just 3 games.

Youre looking at another 100 with the DLC, All of Skellige, Kaer Morhen and Ciris endgame to do. Youre not even at the halfway point of the main quest.

I did the same thing you did. Got to Skellige and put it down for a few days. The map makes it look bigger than it really is, the island is quite small. Just dive back into it user, it's worth it

What now you filthy brain-dancer

It's the best in a sense. It levels with you and stats increase accordingly, meaning no power gap between witcher weapon tiers, and while it doesn't have all the bonuses set swords have, if I remember it does have higher damage.

Use level scaling

I love how there's an obsession with the E3 2014 Witcher for modders, this mod is good tho

Why is this track so good?

youtube.com/watch?v=BKWtwJ38EjE

Every graphics mod I tried ended up making the game objectively worse overall.

>shove Dijkstra aside forcefully

how about a round of cards, Gwent specifically

Yencuck detected

You can turn the hood off on console?

it's not a graphics mod, it's a combat mod

getting rid of piss filters usually does the job

Are you really going to shitpost?

That looks really fucking drab

Then you go to another area or the game switches to the night and everything's terrible or forces you to use a torch at all times.

Are we really on Sup Forums?

>trissfag shits up fun witcher thread
shocker

Any way to make the combat not shit yet?

Yeah, you stop playing on easy

that doesn't make it good. you can still spec into igni and everything becomes trivial

K, then it's the same shit combat for a longer duration, NO.

Who /gwent/ here?

>been playing since the closed beta
>mfw watching newfriends scorch their own cards

>the Olgierd fight is easily missable
>realize a good chunk of people never heard this or fought him

CDPR is the fucking GOAT.

Turning enemies into bullet (or sword) sponges does not good combat make.

The Division certainly proved that point.

200+ hours of Witcher III and I haven't played a singe gwent game.

Just not into card or board games.

>idiots who blindly mash attack

hearthstone ruined rng card games for me, couldn't into Gwent, started to feel like the nightmare that was Hearth all over again.

thinking of trying it

I wonder how many people missed it? Is his fight the only time that music plays?

youtube.com/watch?v=m71fUPGDaMw

Check out this god-tier reshade my man

Yep Its the only time it plays. Just played through HoS yesterday and its the only point where it plays.

The Ofieri fight on the beach uses similar but different music.

>Bleak from Skyrim + blur
>vaseline during dialogue

No thank you.

Unbleak is is the best ENB for Skyrim. Never got why people used Bleak tee bee aych.

i miss him :(

The Duchess was bafflingly retarded. My first time through I got the worst ending and I didn't even feel bad. Like what the fuck did she expect.

Same here man. Fuck gwent.

There better be a new trailer/gameplay at e3

Enemies still die easily as hell on the highest difficulty for me. Though that might because of how broken Whirl and animation canceling with Rend is.

No. That's what you get for thinking with your dick.

Better follow these red footprints.
