How will we ever recover SMTbros?

Give in and accept that Shin Megami Tensei is now an obscure Persona spin-off franchise

What a twist

Can anyone point me to the right direction to find an english translation for the playstation version of smt 1? I've heard it a big improvement over the snes version but I can't find a patch for it. Does one exist?

just reading some forum posts about this: apparently the psx version isn't translated but is inferior to the sfc version anyway, but the gba version is held to be the best version and also isn't translated.

The only thing that worries me is that I've heard the original version has an incredibly high encounter rate so I don't know how to feel about that. At least you can speed up emulators though so I may as well give it a shot. Thanks user

You're acting like this isn't the same universe where "anime was a mistake."

Persona was destined to always be more popular and profitable. Weebs and normies think it's cool, and fun, and "well written," and far fewer people are willing to take the minimal, somewhat more nuanced depending on the game, cathartic journey of a non-Persona game.

They get better near the end.

Are you trying to imply that DDS is SMT with that image?

Somebody needs to take the moral high ground in a world where everyone starts eating each other. The only really interesting character is Gale though, the others aren't bad, but Gale is extremely endearing and engaging over both games. The others may occasionally be charming or have something interesting happen but they pale in comparison to Gale.

How can people genuinely like DDS? You can't even recruit or fusion shit in this game, even Persona wins in this aspect.

>fuse

Fixed.

You sound so far up your own ass I don't even know where to start.

...

Who cares, post more Gale.

Persona is more SMT than DDS is.

Add the ability to date demons.

How would you feel if Nintendo's E3 Direct opened with a flower field?

you've gone too far
lets keep going

The core gameplay is still solid even if it's a bit tedious, and the story is probably the best in the entire franchise

I don't want more people getting lost in there.

When does the story get good? I played DDS1 20 hours before losing interest, and everything was still characters explaining their extremely basic emotions at the pace of a Dora the Explora episode.
