Every Alien game in the 90s is a clone of some other game

>every Alien game in the 90s is a clone of some other game
>only good Alien game in the 2000s is a crossover and the Aliens are the least fun characters to play
>Colonial Marines was a disaster and cost Sega millions of dollars
>only decent Alien game since then is a walking simulator with cheap RNG and jumpscares
When will we get another good Alien game that focuses on action instead of jumpscares?

>cheap RNG and jumpscares

literally and metaphysically get good

>good Alien game
>action
Pick one. The Alien is the perfect organism, not an insect to be fought in hordes. Survival horror fits perfectly.

Please stop posting ugly AVP aliens

>alien isolation is a walking simulator
>alien isolation relies on jumpscares
>alien games need to be action adventures
you need to stop expressing your opinion about the alien franchise

>perfect organism
>takes a nap
>gets shot into space

>not liking Alien Infestation

out you fucking pleb.

>Isolation
>Cheap RNG and jumpscares
Neither of these could be further from the truth.

It was fun to play as them in AVP because of their ability to climb on the walls/ceilings and skitter around so quickly. They were melee only but could kill in one hit up close.

Fucking this. God damn, what an underrated gem.

>The Alien is the perfect organism
According to who, Ash? You ever consider that maybe he was wrong? Especially since "perfect" is a completely subjective term.

They can't even reproduce without finding other organisms to impregnate with their facehuggers

>An Aliens game

Easy peasy.
>You take control of a chest burster after some dipshit goes and fucks with an egg
>Space station filled with 10,000 people or some shit
>You have to eat smaller pets and kids to grow
>Complete minor mission objectives like cutting power or communications temporarily to assist in stealth segments
>Throw in stat distribution for cool perks
>Move down to a boiler room or some shit
>You become a fucking Alien Queen
>Customize your base by laying eggs in designated areas, order drones to form cocoons and reinforce structures they make, etc.
>You're given a skill tree that determines how your colony evolves (like the really cool Xenomorphs from the arcade games)
>On occasion you have to command your drones to help fend off humans who grow a pair and try to kill you
>At any given time you can take control of another Alien through a first person perspective and manually carry out tasks you've ordered to ensure success
>Down to the last two humans
>One of them sets the base to self destruct and decides to confront you and the army you've built
>The final challenge is you taking control of that human and mowing down all your Xenomorphs, eggs, face huggers, chest bursters, hybrids, and the Alien Queen you spent the entire game upgrading

There. Greatest Aliens game ever created.

>The Alien is the perfect organism
>It's killed multiple times by muh girl powah
Really makes you think

If they're so perfect, then why can't they give me a ride to my shift at Burger King?

you should try Natural Selection 2
it's multiplayer only but it is very similar to what you are describing

That sounds good, actually. Takes elements from plenty of Aliens games already, while bringing more to the table.

AVP 2 and Isolation are the only games the series needs. Let it die already.

As for CM, there is a mod overhaul that makes it into a normal game.

>You ever consider that maybe he was wrong?
This is possible, because I personally read Ash's declaration of it's perfection as coming from a place of jealousy. he was programmed as sapient life, with the ability to think, respond, etc. but could only carried out what was programmed into him. When he says that he admires its purity, and then says it's "unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality", I read the actor delivering that line with a touch of envy, as if it's perfect to someone like Ash, who longed to have a primal side.

AvP 1 was good too

>Sup Forums's idea of a good game is a lame "open" world RPG

sounds sweet
wut? that game was shit

Except nothing was mentioned about an "open" world.

sounds like something ubisoft would make. can already feel and imagine the ensuing boredom

I haven't played Colonial Marines, what about it makes it so bad?

Very buggy, but otherwise plays like the most bare bones shooter you can think of. Mostly just cover-based hallways with human enemies and xenos who walk toward you.

>wut? that game was shit
nah, you're probably just too ADD for it. Don't feel bad, it has a high learning curve and your teammates expect you to at least somewhat know what you're doing

So, Sim Ant crossed with AvP and FO4?

dumb bkub poster.

>>only decent Alien game since then is a walking simulator with cheap RNG and jumpscares

>FPS pasta turdware
>good

>Implying Aliens Trilogy and the Arcade games weren't good
