SUPER SMASH BROTHERS __________
A dark gritty Metroid reboot!
DELUXE
I'm expecting it to be 90% just more info on games we already know about. If they have a big reveal I can't see it being anything more than a pikmin 4 level game
The games I always look forward to the most are the surprises. Games we didn't ask for but are happy with anyway. E3 2010 was the best for me because of games like Kid Icarus Uprising and Donkey Kong Country Returns, games that NO ONE could have predicted. Now, E3 2015 was also full of shit we didn't ask for, but fuck that entire conference.
I'm expecting something that's about on par with the Switch Presentation. One big surprise, an info dump on a game we all saw coming, and the rest being a mixed bag.
hope for: VC details
expect:
this, + MHXX coming to the US this fall. no VC details.
havent they mentioned "reveals" in their official announcement
also its hard to believe that they wont reveal anything new when their only future games that we know about are splatoon2 and mario odyssey
Yeah like Federation Force? You fricking piece of shit... won't invite you to my birthday party ever again.
Hope for new Super Mario Odyssey footage, expect new Super Mario Odyssey footage.
You know that Nintendo always keeps it low key. I'm sure the new Mario footage will look great, but I don't expect much else.
>More info
First party I can't really think of much but feel they will show off more Splatoon 2 stuff and will really push Mario Odyssey. Maybe Fire Emblem Warrior and whatever the new Fire Emblem for next year
>Reveal
Can't really think of any more first party to talk about. Seem Japan devs fell in love with the idea of the Switch a year back when they were just starting to get it. So outside of basic ports I can see Namco doing something with it and SE most likely too. Maybe find out more on the SMT game too.
Feels like it's really hard to go in with optimistic expectations given that they've had two massively disappointing E3s in a row.
It will be a disappointment.
It will go like this
Sup Forums wants
>F -zero
>metroid
>mother 3
>Animal crossing
>eternal darkness 2
>Bayo 3
>Wonderful 101 sequel
>Sunshine Hd
>galaxy 3
>New Ips
What Sup Forums will get
>Splatoon and ARMS dlc
>Breath Of the Wild Dlc info
>Amiibos
>Indie games
>Third party games we know about. Fifa, Sonic,Nba 2k
>Mario gameplay
>3ds end of life games
>one good surprise game that Sup Forums will claim makes Nintendo win e3
Same shit every year. They will probably announce metroid this year. It will flop and they won't make another one for ten years.
>3ds end of life games
sorry what?
Hope:
>Metroid by Retro
>a new IP
>Kirby
>Pikmin 4
>Animal Crossing
>Super Mario Odyssey gameplay
Expect:
>Mario + Rabbids Kingdom
>ARMS
>Super Mario Odyssey gameplay
>3DS games no one asked for
>ports of indie games
This, except
>one suprise game
Will be the Rabbids crossover, and Sup Forums will rage
One big game to send it out the door along with some indie filler
This. I also expect some news on that Kirby game. Other then that nothing.
That's Everoasis.
>Sunshine Hd
They can't do this without analog triggers.
R1: trigger pressed halfway
R2: trigger pressed fully
i dont remember what the function of the z button was but remap it to L1 and all problems are solved
This is what I hope and pray for every night
TOURNAMENT
HD
Everyone's forgotten about Xenoblade 2 it seems.
I mean, who are Monolith Soft anyway? Just some weird "third party" devs who makes these pretty ambitious open world RPGs.
>Metroid Prime 4 is now possible with the Joy-Cons
>New DKC game
>Smash Deluxe
>X was one of my favorite open world game ever
Still need to play Zelda but I really want to get it on Switch than get it for my Wii U.
Man, her armor just does it for me. Looks awesome.
>Monster Hunter localization early fall
>Fire Emblem footage +(Warriors)
>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for Switch
>Metroid anything
>Virtual Console
>Animal Crossing
>Xenoblade 2
It's gonna be Super Smash Bros 5 (see: Mario Kart) as boring as that name is. I preferred the days of every N64 installment having 64 slapped on to the name over just normal sequel numbers.
>we will never see Star Fox Assault 2 or Kirby Air ride 2 for the Switch
reee
I don't really expect much, ever since they announced it was mostly 2017 Switch games. I definitely expect more info on BotW DLC, Splatoon, FE Warriors, Skyrim, MonHun, Odyssey, Xenoblade, Virtual Console, and FE 2018
Then for new reveals, I bet we get only one of the following: Pokemon Stars, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Smash 4 DX, or Retro's new game.
I'm a bit bummed there won't be more 2018 announcements here. 2017 already looks strong enough, whereas 2018 currently has Fire Emblem, and maybe No More Heroes and SMT. The Switch is knocking it out of the park so far but they need to keep the momentum up
>Smash Bros Switch
>Tag Team mechanic
Nintendo better cut out that cringey shit they've been doing at E3 and just cut straight to presenting games. I don't want to see another fucking video mashup of kids singing the Mario theme.
I am hoping they reveal a new Animal Crossings game. I want to see that HD Isabelle.
I'd be really interested to see them do something like that. Namco already makes the games so get the Tekken Tag team to do it and make it a bit more like a traditional fighting game, but still with the platforming elements. I love Smash but the formula could definitely use a refresh, especially from someone who knows how to make good fighting games.
Mario Odyssey and nothing else
Let's assume that, despite being focused on current and potential 2017 releases, they still tease ONE 2018 title.
What should it be?
Unless Nintendo announce something to do with Pokemon, Fire Emblem Warriors and maybe Smash Bros, I couldn't be any more indifferent.
Am I the only one legitimately interested by that Project Octopath Traveler game? I'm hoping they reveal some more details about it.
World wide release for MHXX.
Never gonna happen though. I don't want to play moon runes first.
It's being made by the Bravely Default team, right? I have some hope for it.
Virtual Console will be tied to their new paid online, they will still put the bare minimum amount of effort into it. Enjoy!
Same guy leading the team and most of the guys that worked on Bravely Default, I keep hearing.
Ricochet 2
L4D3
Prospero
I mean, FE Warriors info is basically guaranteed as a 2017 Switch game in this direct focused on 2017 Switch games
I expect it to be pretty close if not day and date. Most MonHun games take 5-6 months to get over here, and the Switch version is coming out 5 months after the 3DS version, so the localization should be done.
I'm not expecting much to be honest. But even then I can't imagine it being worse than Sony/Microsoft
Not even console war shit, I have a PS4 Pro, but their conferences are usually nothing but AAA garbage and statistics that no one cares about. hardly any of the decent sony console titles are announced at E3
really hoping for a switch port of federation force. that game is awesome would love to play it on the big screen with my boys.
Oh man can you imagine the shitposting?
xenoblade chronicles 2 footage
fire emblem warriors footage
rabbids shit at ubisoft and completely absent from the direct
third parties showing support for the switch
the unlikely possibility of pokemon stars
pokemon mystery dungeon switch
bayonetta 3
F-zero revival
project X zone 3
smash 5/4 deluxe
animal crossing
soul calibur 6 w/ FE guest character
kirby air ride 2
monster hunter 5/xx western release date
a metroid game to shut up metroidfags
a pokemon pet sim
tomodachi life 2
a PS:O style nintendo themed online game
gamecube virtual console
dark souls trilogy
guilty gear xrd or marvel vs. capcom infinite
a bundle pack
>Post what you hope for.
Mega Man
>Post what you expect.
Not Mega Man
Hope
>Animal Crossing for the Switch with good online
>New Metroid lets be real, that shit is dead
>Luigi's Mansion without the mission structure
I'm expecting nothing but Arms, Splatoon, Mario Odyssey, and maybe Fire Emblem news
It's frustrating just how right you probably are.
My Hopes:
>F-Zero NX
>Animal Crossing Switch
>Smash 4 Switch
>Dragon Quest X NA release
Only chance of FedForce seeing the light of day again is if it (in its entirety, including Blast Ball) was packaged in as side content for the next actual Metroid Prime.
>Amiibos
Actually, the plural is just "amiibo"

SUPER DUPER POOPER SCOOPER BROS. for Wii DS
New core AC game for Switch, and a core Metroid game.
I don't expect Metroid but I'd be pretty surprised with no Animal Crossing since they seem to enjoy milking that franchise.
Probably we'll see some Splatoon and ARMS footage.
>hopes

New F-Zero
Super Mario Odyssey fall 2017
Fire Emblem Warriors fall 2017 release date

Super Mario Odyssey fall 2017 release date with footage
Splatoon 2 DLC
BOTW DLC
Fire Emblem Warriors delay with 1 minute of footage
Fire Emblem Switch 2019 release date with 30 seconds of footage
Project Octopath 2019 with another 30 second trailer
Smash 4 Deluxe $60 with no new features
ARMS
Hope for:
FROM exclusive, new Camelot JRPG or Golden Sun for Switch, new metroid game, some JRPGs, Chrono Break timed exclusive for Switch
Expect:
A lot of shit I don't want and FROM giving us a Dark Souls Trilogy with a "remastered" 1 and 2 with gameplay that isn't as smooth as DS3. Considering the Japanese sales I'm really expecting a lot of weeb games.
>Nintendo announces Super Wario Bros. for Switch
>Nintendo instantly wins E3
what, something like Marvel vs Capcom?
Next gen pokemon. Not Stars.
Hope
>Mario Odyssey stuff
>Pikmin 4
>Splatoon 2 stuff
>Kid Icarus
>Retro's third DK game
>2D Metroid
>Virtual console
Expect
>Mario Odyssey stuff
>Splatoon 2 stuff
>A hint at the first post-launch Arms character
>Indie games like Hollow Knight on Switch
>Amiibo garbage
>Sonic Forces
>Breath of the Wild DLC
>"Brothers in Crime"
>Its a Superstar Saga style RPG
I'd cry
I really want a Donkey Kong Returns Collection for Switch. Feels like neither of those games were ever on the proper platform. DKCR1 was on Wii with waggle and then 3DS with 30fps animation. DKCR2 was on WiiU which noone bought.
I'm hoping for third party games.
Yeah, I know.
got the template for this?
No
Just pay attention to the Nintendo part of pic related
>eternal darkness 2
I'd fucking suck a dick for that jesus christ
Hope/Expect:
A blunder on par with E3 2008, sinking Neokikeshitendo's career to the bottom of the ocean.
You and me both, brother. You and me both.
The fact that nobody has replied to this shows not only that this is the hope of everyone on this board, but that it gets Nintailures absolutely buttblasted every time.
Tussle
To fit in with Melee and Brawl
>A blunder on par with E3 2008, sinking Neokikeshitendo's career to the bottom of the ocean.
What was worse, E3 2008 or E3 2016
PHYSICAL ALTERCATION
E3 2017
This is the only correct post in this thread and what I've been saying all along
You also forgot:
>Switch VC announced
>Still no account system
>Still get drip fed over the years (at least it's region free now)
>Launches with Mario 64 and Urban Champion
>Next games don't come out until a month or two later
>It's Clu Clu Land or some shit
I thought the general consensus was that 2015 was Nintendo's worst E3.
They could show 2 minutes of Super Mario Odyssey and 48 minutes of Reggie shitting in the Switch dock, and it would still be better than E3 2008 and 2016
MHXX on the Japanese switch store says release of 8/25/17
It was disappointing, but there was still more stuff than 2016 which was just Zelda (which we already knew about) and Sun/Moon, which we also knew about
Also 2015 had Federation Force which was worth it just for the Metroid fans sperging out
It's going to be a Bravely Default style RPG just blown up size wise to make it a full console game. Super hopeful about it
The borb threads had to have been a sign
I'd like to see a Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster on Switch. 1080p60FPS, reworked textures, online MP2 multiplayer, control configuration to play either with GC-like controls or by using aiming controls.
But a new Metroid in general, please.
Meleegay
...
>SSB Deluxe for Switch
Don't get your hopes up
If not this year, definitely next year. No doubt in my mind.
Hope: F-Zero
Expect: not F-Zero
...
Hopefully more than arms
I just want a global release for Monster Hunter: Switch Edition
I want a major UI update to the Switch, the startup menu looks like ass.
It needs Netflix + a decent web browser
Also, is Nintendo launching an account system when they introduce paid online, or are we still going to be stuck in fucking 2006 using friend codes?
>What I want
FE Warriors to not just be Mystery of the Emblem, Awakening and Fates at launch.
Gamecube VC that ups the native resolution as many GC and Wii games look great when in HD. Netplay would also be great.
Metroid Prime 4 that has more action/violence on the level of the old Halo games, I feel that they could get away with some alien blood and guts
Bayonetta 3
A New IP from a western studio.
Fire Emblem Switch to not be there as I fear it would cause brand fatigue. But if it is there, I'd like to see it be more like the older games and Echoes: SoV than Awakening and Fates. Full voice acting and dialog scenes like Mass Effect or The Witcher which play out in 3D instead of just two sprites talking.
Xenoblade 2 to be out this December.
Pokemon Sun and Moon HD that runs well
Smash 4 Deluxe with new content
Kirby on Switch
Third Party ports of games I want to play on the Switch
>What I expect
ARMS
Splatoon 2
Mario Odyssey with the announcement of a Season Pass
Zelda DLC
FE Warriors Amiibo (which I wouldn't mind to be honest)
Xenoblade 2019
Animal Crossing
Pikmin 4
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics 2018
Third party ports of games I don't want
Indies
Pokemon Sun and Moon HD that runs like Pokemon Sun and Moon already do.
Smash 4 Deluxe with no new content
Kirby on 3DS
...
Metroid, Odyssey, DLC, ARMS, info on other known games, ports, accessories, reveals for other stuff, etc.
Stuff like AC and smash seems unlikely to me, I guess it could be possible considering how devs tend to go after developing another game right after releasing one or even making it during the latter's development cycle, but I doubt it.
When did development for the switch even begin and when were devs allowed to have access to it?
great looking system
Hope: Metroid, something else unexpected
Expect: The only "new" reveal being Mario x Rabbids
pretty much this
although, I have a feeling Ninty is going to announce a new Animal Crossing game for the Switch along with detailing the animal crossing mobile game
Stop buying so many Switches, fags. I want one.
