DQ is barely scraping by over here. IIRC Square wouldn't even pay to localize 9 because it wasn't worth it, so Nintendo stepped in to do it. There's a ton of DQ games we get here because they're not profitable.

'not worth it' meaning it has more than enough sales to justify a localization, but looks bad to the exec board that expects it to sell as well as it does in japan.
