Hey Sup Forums, I've run in to a bit of an anomaly, think you might be able to help?
I'm playing through oblivion and was in Cheydinhal doing a thieves guild quest when I stopped in the dark elf bar to level up and found this guy.
I can talk to him and while a line pops up, no audio comes from his mouth. He seems oddly dressed for an npc that only sits at the bar and stands by the stable.
He carries a key that unlocks a chest next to a bed roll by the stables. The chest contains only 2 gold, but our friend here carries around 500,as well as ebony gear and a longsword of lightning.
I've searched everywhere for this guy online, his name is Samson Othran and I can't find anything about him anywhere.
If I ever see you around Cheydinhal again you better watch your hide. I don't like it when people post about me on anonymous forums.

I did that with Fallout 3, downloaded a bunch of mods, forgot about the game and started playing it again later and came across a weird NPC I thought was a part of the orginal game.

Anyone feel like the design changes for armour and weapons in Skyrim took away a lot of the magic that they had in Oblivion?
In Oblivion the different weapon and armour materials are visually distinct in design, steel looks relatively normal while glass weapons and armour look impossibly smooth and shiny, like they're made of a truly otherworldly material.
By contrast in Skyrim Glass weapons and armour look jagged and gritty, like they've been roughly carved out of a rock. All the weapons and armour share this same 'gritty' style and I just feel that it makes all of the equipment for the game look generic, samey and dull. I'm also not a big fan of how wide all the swords are, I preferred the slimmer, longsword-style design of the swords in Oblivion.
Does anyone get what I'm saying here. Please tell me I'm not the only one who is bothered by this difference in design choice.
