Even here in Russia the number of steam sales has been increasing dramatically. Myself included, people just use steam because it's convenient. I spent what, 300 rub (ehh.. $5-6, I guess?) for the enhanced Divinity Original Sin when it was on sale recently, can't complain.

I did. Years ago, now. Had Blackcatz and Bitgamer accounts, but disposable income and the convenience of Steam steadily pushed me away. And now with the automated refund system, I don't have anything to lose by accidentally stepping in dog shit.

I've never understood this stupidity. Yes, in a nightmare situation Valve could hypothetically disallow me from accessing my vidya -- but so could a house fire. Really no point in worrying about things that never happen just because they hypothetically could.
