It was a sequel of sorts to the Super Mario Super Show DVD menu review video that James and Mike did wherein they got a huge kick out how absurd inspector gadget's presence was in all of it.
The downside to the idea of producing a follow-up video is that it was all Mike's own intent, coupled with his shit-tier "comedy" style that's cringey on an almost legendary level.
He could have prevented this from happening if they simply left it at the ONE video about the dvd menu, but Mike just had to fucking push it further. And this is what we got.
