It's an excellent port of the arcade game. If you can't run the arcade game on emulation street stage is a suitable substitute.
The card collecting is annoying though. since it's the only way to tune your car.
Pretty good minus the lack of analog support. Iro will make you its bitch.
>emulation street stage
Tell me more about this, please.
PPSSPP, the PSP wonder emulator.
I'm sorry, I misread the statement.
> If you can't run the arcade game on emulation
It's possible to run the arcade game instead?
The game I bought my psp for. My psp literally was an initial d machine.
it runs fine on PPSSPP, haven't experienced any input lag. After a few hours I just downloaded a 100% 99 card save so I could customize and upgrade cars however I want without having to get tuning cards and race Bunta on any track and difficulty.
PPSSPP. Not much required except fixing the frame skip which shouldn't be too hard.
Yes, the Demul Dreamcast emulator can run Arcade Stage version 1-3. However IIRC there's no support for a simulated magnetic card reader, so you can't save your progress.
Demul can run the arcade game. Arcade stage ver. 3 export is the one with the english text. (you just have to put up with Tokyopop's godawful localization.) It just requires a kinda beefy rig and it doesn't have frame skip.
If you can't get it to run the PSP port still looks pretty good.
>fixing the frame skip which shouldn't be too hard.
?
I thought it was just the PSP game being locked to 30fps.
Just emulate Special Stage on PCSX2. It runs better than emulated PPSSPP Street Stage.
Daily reminder that the Grip run beats Drifting and that the GT-R 32 is the best racing machine ever built
does this game have the initial D soundtrack? what's the fucking point of playing an initial D game if i can't listen to this?
for me it has minor issues with frame drops on certain courses, so I had to activate frame skip which fixed the issue
but it's not ver.3 it's ver.2. It does have a larger eurobeat selection though.
>does this game have the initial D soundtrack?
>Initial D: Street Stage
What the fuck do you think, idiot?
what if I can't emulate?
ass ass ass is overrated trash

People mention big rigs constantly but this exists.
i have watched enough AVGN episode about licensed game to know that the fact that the game has a license for something, doesn't mean actual shit
time to upgrade the amiga, gramps

I'm FUCKING JEALOUS REEEEE, I'm stuck with Extreme Stage with DFGT for my Initial D Arcade experience
If you live in east coast, the conventions I'm going to, ANIMENEXT and OTAKON, their game room has 4 arcade stage 7 units so you can do some cool project D racing down and uphill simultaneously.
the closest convention I could get is the one in Montreal (Otakuthon) but I have no money to go because I can't get a job, I've been looking for jobs, but I get no interviews.
