Alan Wake was obviously very referential to Twin Peaks but it didn't really have much in common with it otherwise other than an obsession for trees and a central mystery

Ending was shit, and knowing that we probably will never get a Deadly Premonition 2 is torture.

But damn if the ride wasn't worth it. I love this game. I shouldn't, but I can't stop myself from loving it.

The ending was not that bad and the boss design was awesome (just the looks not the gameplay)

I like games that use bad but popular game design decision as a pomo statement to mock the player for undertaking them, while the main character gets bitterer and bitterer. It was like Groundhog Day in reverse.

If DP doesn't count, then MF doesn't count either. Both are heavily influenced by TP to such an extent that they're basically fangames.

You're cherry picking. It has elements of both serious schlock and B-action that are generally well-balanced and don't disrupt the game's pace.

Unironically one of my favourite games, but if you care about bugs and CTDs in games, I would recommend just watching it on Youtube with a silent player.

The whole end sequence was good because it was the only part of it that felt like its own thing, while the rest of it, while enjoyable, was too derivative of TP. It is very unfortunate that D4 won't be continued though, it was one of the only one of those Telltale-style adventure games I enjoyed. Great soundtrack too.

First hour of Alan Wake, before it turns into generic third person shooter

Loved the game,I didn't proceed far due to bugs,fps drops and other shit which is happening on PC port.

Tried fixes but these gave me jack shit,maybe I'll try some other time.York character was brilliant,game was super comfy outside otherworld

Plus the "ending" was a fucking mess and sucked hot ass, so it had that in common with Twin Peaks.

My best advise for crashes is play with compatibility of dp.exe
Install DPfix for frame rate issues

If the game crash during a specific event like going out of the hotel or talking to a npc: smoke a cigarettes to pass 1 hour or two in game and try again

Tried all man,compatibility stuff and DP fix also used,funny thing is real problems started after 9 hours of playing,so I couldn't refund it
