TELLTALE BTFO ONCE AGAIN!
TELLTALE BTFO ONCE AGAIN!
>giving a shit about movie games
considering how shit actual movies are these days I'll take what I can get
Will our choices matter this time?
Can people import their save games over to get consequences for their previous actions?
Will there be major choices that will actually alter the game for people, before the last 5 minutes of the 'game' ?
>Telltale will remember that
Gotta say, I hate these kind of games but you raise a point.
If bioware couldn't get your choices to matter across several games, what hope does this one have?
Wowzers. Hella cool.
Seriously though, did anyone functional enjoy these? All the fans I see are either in it for lesbo shit, skinny teenage girls, or social lives they wish they had, which is why they can't tell how ridiculously off it is.
>reading plygon
They're actually pretty decent.
To get for free on PS+ instead of shit indy shovelware every month
>not enjoying generic comic book movie #524, 80s/90s tv series turned into movies, soulless reboots and the general conveyor belt creativity of today's age
but LiS did the exact same thing it just looked prettier
This and Season 1 of The Walking Dead are the only good games they have ever made.
>Will our choices matter this time?
I mean it's a prequel, so your choices aren't going to matter at all.
will be buying both on day one, they better not fuck it up.
that's two LiS games and that vampire game they are juggling with, sounds pretty damn risky to make so many games for one studio, let alone a small one that's basically an overglorified indie dev
I'm a 31 year old British guy who played it recently, and it's the most I've enjoyed a game in a long time. Incidentally, whilst I'm clueless about teenage lingo these days and a lot of it sounded awkward, people who work around kids that age have said that it's not that far off.
I also kept Max and Chloe as friends, because the romance angle is forced and makes no sense in the context of the story.
it's not about the choices or the explanation of her time powers, these are just backdrops for the character moments.
Dontnod aren't making this, Deck Nine Games are. Formerly known as Idol Minds.
I got hooked because of the characters, tone, atmosphere, the music, I ended up relating to it a lot, the quiet more intimate human moments, it's the whole package that grabbed me.
Them being gay, if you go that route, is just a plus, I guess.
But you always gotta remember the Internet is pure filth and will ruin anything, specially if you hang around in places like Sup Forums and then use their views as an example on the overall fanbase or group...though most the fanbase is pretty Tumblrish and gay, not all of course.
is this worth 5 bucks? it's currently on sale on Xbox
last tt game I played and liked was wolf among us, the others are a bore fest, at least the first episodes, specially when they made the artstyle change and started shoving more QTEs than asura's wrath
Truly feels great to be alive
Thats weird. The devs said they were busy with Vampyr.
>coolboarders
shit, that's a deep cut.
alright, that eases my mind, but now I'm worried about another dev taking reigns, and how some of what makes LiS tick might be 'lost in translation' so to speak
user I...
I stopped watching movies 2 or 3 years ago, now I mainly stick to tv shows, games and movie games, they have more time for characters, worlds or stories to grow on you instead of rushing things because they only have 2 hours to explore.
I think ex machina was the last film I saw.
If you like Borderlands sure, if not then no.
did they cancel it?
How does this make sense as them as the protags if her abilities happen in that bathroom scene where she gets killed or whatevr
they just paid some attention to details and picked hip with kids cute girls drama story. There nothing good in characters, gameplay or story itself. This genre and especially LiS doesnt really lets player make difference or face challenge and task to complete. That kills very purpose and definition of vidya which relies on involvement of player.
Its nothing, but a movie occasionally paused so you have to manually unpause sometimes with different button.
Telltale lets player express different attitude to same situation. Its creates at least an illusion of interactivity and player involvement making every decision feel personal.
Well, LiS doesnt capable even on that. Too bad it received praise just for attempt to use unique to videogames protagonist character and pandering to vidya-hating hipster journos. Thats character never used, because main hero required to be capable and willing to do great and interesting things at least in conditions set in a game, but you cant do much with stupid shy typical teenage girl. Nobody would approve character with 0 charisma unless its faceless space marine, but in this case it was good enough.
I fucking hate this game and its undeserved praise. Where all adventure games gone?!
...
I only liked 2 and that was years ago, now I can't stand Gearbox's comedy style.
just saw that the first episode is free, might try that first and see how it goes.
>I mean it's a prequel, so your choices aren't going to matter at all.
Fucking stupid.
>t. commercial consumeranon who only watches blockbusters
My bad, I thought they were making two LiS games and one was being developed by dontnod
honestly I think this is not the most important thing, all I ask is for a good story that doesn't fall apart at the end. it could be a glorified VN and that wouldn't bother me.
They are. There are two teams at Dontnod. One is working on Vampyr and the other is working on season 2.
same, probably the only game where I would be okay with this.
>CHLOE WE HELLA HAVE TO GO ALL THE WHACK BACK IN TIME TO CRANK RACHEL'S THERAPY UP TO ELEVEN
oh okay, my bad again
>prequel
pls no
>they have to make it a prequel because the story in the original game is so fucked
kek, you can tell they didn't think they were ever going to make a second game in the series
>we got this shit instead of remember me 2
thanks tumblr
There's both a prequel and a sequel in development. Dontnod are working on the latter while another team makes this to fill the gap.
Nice post though.
Why would anyone want a prequel? Rachel dies the end
>actually making a sequel after those endings
Then they're dumber than I thought.
Again, thanks Tumblr.
You could say for any number of prequels that get released, it's a cash grab, nothing more.
>prequel
>aka no Max the only good character
D R O P P E D

Like totally amazeballs!!
>IT'S YOUR KIDS, CHLOE, SOMETHINGS GOTTA BE DONE ABOUT YOUR ARTIFICIALLY INSEMINATED KIDS!
wowzers
fucking kek
>not remember me too
go fuck yourselfie
>ending of the first game was a dead end no matter what so they have no choice but to make a prequel
Way to write yourselves into a corner dipshits.
/thread
underrated
>enjoying a full blown SJW game about teenagers instead of a subtler yet still SJW game with multiple settings
Kill yourself you fucking faggot, Life is Strange is Hipster SJW full on pandering garbage
