You're lucky to even be able to get to that point. Most Jasons wouldn't even know about that stuff and just run around shift-choking people. I've gone up against dozens of part 6 Jasons but I've never once been subjected to one of his two great unique kills.

over on the cracked servers, I've played a dozen or so hours with not one instance of griefing, Jason assisting, mic spam or other tomfoolery. Piratefags are---surprisingly---way more moral than buyfags in terms of game sanctity.

The choke kill is way too fast currently, there's no time to react if your teammates get grabbed.

I'm okay with shift grabbing because you can zig zag to avoid it, but it be dope to get a visual or audio cue that he's going to shift on top of you.

Merely one aspect of the game. If you like to strategize and communicate with others to make a plan, this is a game for you. There are shitters if you decide to play with randoms, but it's still a lot of fun and spooky trying to hide, set up traps for your escape and making a narrow getaway. It is a hold E to search stuff, but what do you expect? To be given everything? There exists a lot of risk having to run out in the open hopping cabin to cabin. You've got to manage your stamina and minimize your fear when Jason is on the prowl. Combat for the counselors isn't very intuitive or good at all for that matter, but it is there for you to use to defend yourself or to free an ally from that grip

At least they didn't have the audacity to make it 60.

Hitting a counselor should immediately show your position to Jason
Repeatedly hitting a counselor should place a 25% slow debuff on your character.
Killing an ally character causes you to delevel

Teleport instakills isn't the same thing as being just "overpowered". It's cheating. It's like that guy in whatever FPS with a speedhack and a one-hit rapid fire machine gun.

I'd like to maybe see them try to evolve it a bit past looking in drawers, but I couldn't see how. Hopefully the upcoming maps really switch it up with concerns to scenery. A Manhattan map and spaceship map would be great if they are able to get rid of cabins or any equivalent.

It looks fun but 40 bucks is just too much for what's there. If there was free multiplayer dlc down the road I might reconsider. But as is I'm just going to wait for a sale if the playerbase doesn't die.

All you need to do is limit the teleport. Perhaps make it so he can only teleport to set locations rather than anywhere, then he'd have to plan ahead more and rely on Stalk more.

Why not implement a incombat state, if jason is attacked by a counselor he can't shift or teleport for the next x or y seconds.

This promotes teamplay, crew of 2-3 to fight jason to distract and have others go for objectives, and not completely unbalanced because jason will eventually overpower the counselors attacking him.

That'd make playing Jason tedious. I think maybe increase the cool down on Shift

That's the only movie that happens, and even then there's nothing that implies there's major teleportation going on.

I exclusively use shift as a means of popping up around cabins, trees, or rocks. I never use it for shifting literally right on top of people and going for a grab into an instant kill.

I haven't had a problem wiping out a whole team and the game is a much more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Conceptually, a Friday the 13th game should primarily be about Jason killing lots of people. It's not really about 'fairness'. The fact that one or two people can get away is pretty gracious in itself.

The fun is being a semi-unstoppable killer.

F13 is a 10/10 fun amazing time that captures he movie perfectly if you have a private match with fun people. It's a nightmare without that. It's like a real game of hide n seek, do you play that with your friends or with random kids who don't hide and break the rules
