What's your excuse?
>5 years later
>only 5 copies sold
What's your excuse?
platformers are old and gay
I did my part and I think they are the best Rayman games around.
I swear to god, if Rayman doesn't pull at least a cameo in the Rabbids+Mario game I'll sperg hard
get off my lawn, child.
None. I bought one of the 5 copies at release.
How did it get a sequel if it sold that bad?
game was actually quite good but i've never gone back to it
Rayman 1 was the best. Al downhill from there.
I biught 2 copies of it, so with and
we are at 4.
Did you buy the last copy, OP?
I bought 2 copies of both Origins and Legends so my conscience is clear.
Thanks for your not so smart opinion on the matter.
I preordered Evolve that day.
It is my secret e3 dreamfor Rayman 2 to be remade, good god, the score of that game is still jizz worthy, such a magical little gem of a game
it'll never happen though, fuck.
>He isn't going to buy Legends again on Switch
It sold over a million copies.
It only "sold bad" in the way that Tomb Raider or Hitman sold bad for Square Enix, their expectations for sales were completely unrealistic.
I own one.
>he bought a switch
hmm
I pirated 7 copies and it still managed to get a fucking sequel
How is that even possible?
>5 copies
source?
I have a uplay copy
because not everyone is a nigger like yourself.
That's why stores also keep on having things for sale. Because not everyone is filthy nigger.
I might buy Legends on Switch. Maybe. Probably not.
Post the wide hipped fairy
I don't know. I already own it on Wii U and the "bonus" content doesn't really seem that great.
Origins is amazing
the thing is, people are literally bad in terms of 2d platformers
it is becoming a niche market, so if it is not a 3d adventure, it does not sold
What bonus content?
Because someone with taste actually bought it.
Origins > Legends
I think there's a new minigame but they didn't share many details so far.
Origins has too many mosquito levels
Yuck, no. Legends is superior by default by including Origins levels.
>B-but they changed the enemies' placement!
Yeah, to improve the level design. No, not making the game easier, improving it.
I can't remember what are the mosquito levels
I played it on the Wii, just to put it in perspective
The Gradius-like stages where you ride the pink mosquito from Rayman 1.
I loved those
>What's your excuse?
I don't like the game.
>No, not making the game easier
They literally dumbed down Tricky Treasures, though.
>pirated Origins
>realised how phenomenal it was
>bought Origins and Legends at full price
They simply made them flow better, like the musical stages. They are slightly easier but fasr from being "dumbed down".
Plus the rest of the stages are intact.
All 5 of those lost ladies
>Legends is superior by default by including Origins levels.
Only about 60% of them, and not even the good ones.
>by including Origins levels
People act like it's every level when it's just a chunk.
I encourage everyone to enjoy both games.
>60%
More like 30%
The only big missing stage is land of the living dead.
>They simply made them flow better, like the musical stages
The original Tricky Treasures were fine. Legends' musical stages are cute the first time through, but then you realize how devoid of challenge they are which makes the revelation that the same music levels get recycled as the "hardest" levels in the game with filters slapped on.
oh, now I remember
thank you for the info
the only thing I remember I didn't like about Origins is how the game 'races' were a little staged, somewhat impossible to miss. it's like some of the jumps were hand-hold, and the character floated in the air
basically, the game is casualized, but fuck me it is good as fuck
>bought Origins for Wii
>loved it
>pirated Legends for PC
>beat the fuck out of it
>loved it so much that I then bought it for my Wii U (it needed some games)
>realize that the murphy levels are touch based auto scrollers on Wii U and Vita
>they are the worse levels in the game and ruin the pacing
>still love Legends so much that I bought it for PS4 since it has no Uplay or touch bullshit
Legends is still one of the best platformers I've ever played. Just don't get the Wii U or Vita version.
>They are slightly easier but fasr from being "dumbed down"
The port treasure and the second ruins treasure got really simplified
The latter had practically all spikes removed which makes no sense since it's still the last one
>The only big missing stage is land of the living dead.
And all of the more challenging worlds from the second half of the game.
>Devoid of challenge
No shit, every level becomes automatically easier once you beat it the first time, that applies even to Origin's Tricky Treasures.
Besides, every time Legeds is compared to Origins, people always bring up challenge. Sorry to burst your bubble but a game being harder doesn't mean it's better.
I know the average Sup Forums cunt that thinks everything needs to be "hurrdcore" can't grasp this notion but a game can be great even if it's not super hard.
And Legends is way better than Origins despite being "easier", even though not by much.
>Yuck, no. Legends is superior by default
>Murphy
>level amount inflated by excessive amount of 'speed-running levels' where you hold run for like two minutes in a recycled environment
>only has handfuls of levels from the first worlds of Origins and not the harder ones
>no Land of the Livid Dead equivalent
>just ends with the very first music level they showed off in trailers which happens to be easier than everything but Castle Rock
>shitty final boss just like Origins
>seriously when the fuck are we getting a new 2D Rayman with a GOOD final boss
Do you guys play Origins and Legends in multiplayer?
>every level becomes automatically easier once you beat it the first time
Which is why they reuse the music levels to half-ass a shitty final world, right?
>I know the average Sup Forums cunt that thinks everything needs to be "hurrdcore" can't grasp this notion
Oh piss off. Origins isn't Dark Souls hard or whatever the fuck you spout when the word difficulty triggers you, but it at least provides a scale in difficulty as the game progresses. Legends plays it safe all the way through, resulting in a disappointing finale despite looking like quite the spectacle.
This was the only good boss fight in both games.
No. None of my friends like platformers as much as I do and even if we play we would just fuck with each other too much. Last multiplayer platformer we played was 3D World and it was a shit show. I think we did maybe 3 levels in about an hour with just how much they wanted to fuck around.
Game is fantastic, I loved it. Like certain other platformers that aren't console exclusive, it has a special touch that console exclusive platformers lack because their target audience is normies and shutins exclusively.
>every level becomes automatically easier once you beat it the first time, that applies even to Origin's Tricky Treasures
but origins doesn't recycle its tricky treasures. every single one is different.
legends has you beat a musical stage in each world and then the final challenge is just beating them again...and there's only like 4? 5?
it was fun until we got to murfy levels
nobody willingly took the gamepad during those parts
>DEFINITIVE EDITION
Did anyone seriously play this mode with other people for more than five minutes?
>nobody remembers these threads
I do, OP. They were fun and silly
Literally never played it. I got the game for the main game. Not the mini games.
Go away to the failed mascot party, Rayman
Don't worry. You're not alone. I just didn't bother to flag up that I recognise an epic old meme like you did.
