springman is the best boy!

Why is Twintelle so good, bros?

The sexual endeavours of child molesters will not be permitted here! This means no harassing Ninjara, Ribbon Girl, Mechanica or Minmin!

next round will be at 2am here, I would like sleep, why don't you let me?

Asking again from the previous thread.

Calmly convince me that standing and punching, as in extending your arms out to literally "punch" your opponent, is not the best way to experience this game.

Done it for two testpunches already and even though my entire upper body is sore, I'm sweating bullets after an hour, and it feels like my arms are gonna fall off, it is so much god damn fun to play it like that. It's a "workout" and a game in one.

Stay up with me fellow euroanon. We will beat people up as friends, family.

first for Ribbon Girl aka best girl

>Twintelle has really taken off. What do you think of the fan community latching onto her?

>Yabuki: We weren’t really expecting the fans to be so taken with her, so that was a very pleasant surprise! And like I just mentioned, she has that really strong build to her and that seems to be something that the community has picked up on so I’m glad that we were able to create this new character design.
"strong build"

If that's how you like to play it, I don't know that anyone can convince you that sitting on your ass and using a regular control is superior, but at the point we're at where it doesn't seem like there's any tech unique to either control scheme, it's really gonna all be subjective when it comes to the "best" way to play.

I will say that, if you're gonna use the motion controls, going for full swings seems like more fun than just flicking your wrist.

ONE JOB

How do you hit people with the Blorb?
In 1 v 1 I can never land a hit with that bouncing fucking thing.

But I want to play NOW

Double blorb.

Have fun with your 100+ score.

I'll try, already played the last three ones today

Fuck I overslept, why can't the game just be out already

tbf, I did read some tweets from Japanese artists that complained that no one was drawing her nice shoulders correctly.
Granted, he also focused on the ass so lol

i know im on in the minority here but can someone post some cute straight shipping art?

I think in the long run the motion controls would edge out since you can
>move and curve at the same time
>use the fucking WIDE grab

its just I'm not going to waste my precious test punches figuring them out. I'll switch when the full game is out

I overslept too, it's ok. Sleep is the luxury of our time.

So who is it guys?

best theme COMING THROUGH

I've been playing using the joycons in gamepad mode, is it worth buying a pro controller? 70 dollars is a lot of minmins to put down for one

>straight shipping art
What are you, gay?

if you're comfortable with the grip or gamepad, its fine. I dont think you're missing too much. Buttons are nice and big and form factor is just better on the Pro, though.

Electric attacks can sorta be super armored through the punch itself, but the shock applies after the armor frames end. Other characters would just get knockdown instantly if 2 or 3 of the revolver shots hit them.

the pro is really comfy, would recommend

It's a really good controller, I don't know if Arms is the game you specifically need to get it for, but it'll be great for anything else like spla2n

>straight shipping art

does the pro controller have gyro? I need my gyro for spla2oon and my e-liter

If you're comfy with the joycon gamepad, I'd say hold off. I impulse bought the pro controller at launch since they had spares, and while it's super nice and comfortable, $70 IS a fucking lot.

Yes and HD Rumble

Somehow that snek has risen up as one of my favorite designs, right up there with the clockwork cops and Helix

yes

>that naked air grab from a corner
man thats just asking to be raped

>3k
Get ready to face my splattershot pro, fag

Yep. It's also outfitted with a literal 3DS battery so it lasts for like 40 hours constant use.

The fuck would the ships be, though?

Spring and Min?
Ninjara and Ribbon?
Mummy and his long lost wife?

Can someone give me impressions on the pro controller vs the joycon grip for Splatoon 2? The joycon grip is perfectly comfortable to me, but I am worried about the gyro.

Spring and Ribbon
Ninjara and Min

>springmin
>ninjaribbon
>master mommy
woh

Only mechanica is underage

I played Splatoon 2 in handheld mode and it worked fine for me. Never tried it in the grip. I played with a Pro at preview Switch event and got like 18 kills, its really good.

>assume throw damage is based on weight
>Spring, Ribbon, Ninjara, Min Min, and Helix all do 150
>Mechanica does 160
>Mummy does 200
>all checks out
>Assume Twintelle and Cobra will do 150, and Byte will do 160
>This week
>Early footage shows Byte's throw does 150
>Twintelle's throws do 160

Is her ass truly that massive?

keep wishing for that

>Splatoon 2 in handheld mode
did you use gyro? I tried it in one testfire but I realized that rotating the entire screen to aim means I cant see where the hell I'm shooting

As far as accuracy goes? I think you'll be fine. I haven't used it a ton but I've never noticed the joycon gyro not working as well as the pro controller or vice versa.

Cobra's throws do 170.

>tfw you will never RICE MinMin

I did. I never had a problem aiming and seeing the screen, its not like you need to entirely tilt the screen.

Grabs have multiple hits, you need to add them up

Please Sup Forums, PLEEAAAAASE subscribe to his livestream!

What do they all look like with no mask?

I never tried it on splatoon, but gyro aiming worked great on 3DS games like OoT and Resident Evil Revelations. You'd use the stick to point in the general direction of your target then move the system around to fine tune your aim. Moving the screen was never a problem for me.

Thanks, anons! Splatoon 2 is one of my most anticipated games in ages, so I want to make sure I won't be at a disadvantage. hopefully they'll have given brushes a buff and I'll finally be able to break through from S to S+

>170 throws
>dash dodge
>charging dodge

boy this character is shaping up to be a fucking nightmare to deal with

>join arms to get more views and subs
>nobody cares about you
time for another career

...

The game already adds the numbers. The final number at the end of the throw is the total damage, like with rush attacks. Mechanica's throw would be OP if every hit counted, but it only does 160 total. See:

>The final number at the end of the throw is the total damage

Wait really? Well thats confusing why would they do that.

Made sense to me.

I'm guessing because it's all technically one continuous hit, it adds up. Same with rush combos: one hit isn't doing 360 damage, that's the accumulated damage done during the rush.

>vs. Headlok Lv. 7

handheld splatoon worked pretty well for me

looking forward to it too. I'm certain they will balance things out.

>high tier
Mechanica
Byte&Barq
Kid Cobra
Helix
>mid tier
Hedlok
Ribbon
Master Mummy
Ninjara
>low tier
Spring Man
Minmin
Twintelle

It made zero sense to me, we must have been playing different kind of games. If the final number is the total show it in a different color or something.

>Twintelle absolutely bullies Minmins

>bad character design
>dude weed tier creativity
>shit game play
Nintendo seal of approval.

opposite for me
took out quite a few twintelles with MinMin without much trouble.

>tfw still have yet to beat Hedlok level 6

Shit taste, pal
DNA The Man > Kid Cobra > Mummy man > MinMin > Mechanica > Spring Man > Ninjara > Byte&Barq > Twintelle > Ribbon

I may be completely wrong here, but doesn't the damage text get bigger with each successful hit?

It does the same thing in skillshot. The total combo points add up and displays the final number you earn.

Twintelle bullies everyone except me ;_;

was close to beating it last time but time ran out before we could finish it

Thats clear because is the same digits just getting bigger, in mechanica´s throw different numbers are on screen at the same time for each hit giving the impression that they all count.

>Hedlok's smug shit-eating grin when you time out

But the numbers for her throw are not on the screen at the same time. Each hit replaces the previous number.

Yeah you are probably right.

I really don't see how you're supposed to beat Lvl 6+ Headlok in the time limit unless your team is somehow using telepathy to communicate exactly who should throw/rush and when.

Looking at the webm above now, you can see the difference clear as day between the damage counters that don't add up, and the ones that do. On her revolver hits, the numbers are small, sort of pop up in random places and fall down, fading out, and several are on the screen at once. When it gets to her grab, the number is big, stays in place, and each new number replaces the old one.

>Prime Savings
>$20 Amazon gift card
>brings total down to $32

Hedlock>Volley>Hoops>Skillshot

Hedlok is cool but way too easy.

I mean, if that were ultimately the case, Mechanica's throw would be the strongest shit in the game at 460 damage, with Master Mummy, who doesn't have her mobility, clocking in at a pissant 200.

...

Think you read the reply chain wrong. I'm the one that said they only total to 160, and the game shows the number increasing instead of each hit dealing the number shown.

You are absolutely right and I was dumb for not noticing, thanks for the clarification anyways.

Why are they such good friends?

Double Megawatt is the way to go as far as Skillshot is concerned.

>Ribbon Girl
>Mechanica
>Min Min
>Twintelle
do you think the DLC loli ARMS will usurp the throne?

I like double ram rams just because it also smacks the opponent pretty easily

I like the Megawatt on left, Ramram on right.
Stun the opponents with the Megawatt, throw curveshots with the Ramram to hit as many targets in a row as possible.

>First fight this testpunch
>Get matched against jap Ribbon
>Charge cancels
>Fast falls
>Trading blows
>Deflecting punches

Ribbon mirrors are always top tier fights, but goddamn that one was a beauty. I feel bad for anyone that doesn't play Ribbon Girl. You honestly don't know what you're missing.

>neck sticking out of her left shoulder

No because there won't be one.
I want a female robot that looks like a robot (and not an android) so I can give robopolice a waifu.

complete analysis for the arms getter, that proves there's only ONE powerup for each arm

Well. The Megawatt disables their arms. And it actually allows you to easily punch them with your other arm to get additional points if hitting them were to be suitable.

But most importantly. The Megawatt is heavy. So it just goes through Ramrams and other ARMS favoured by the opponents.

So if you charge your dragon arm for an absolutely massive Megawatt that's bigger than a Master Mummy's Megaton. You can simply fire it off in the middle of wherever there are the most targets. And then just block all your opponents from getting points all at the same time. And then hopefully stun them in the end too.
And if you have a Megawatt on your right arm too, you can easily just cover the area you didn't cover with your left Megawatt.

which character do you run into the least?

barely any mechanica or ribbon girl last two sessions

I don't really like that you can have arms that are just a straight upgrade in damage
