Is it better than 4 and 5?
Is it better than 4 and 5?
None of the persona games are good
/thread
I found the characters from 3 the least obnoxious. The freedom you have in 3 to go dungeon crawling and do other activities at your leisure was also a lot more enjoyable. I think it beats out 4/5 in everything except dungeons/the SMT demon coversations 5 included/better established locations (more so 5 because of less graphical limitations)
It does a few things better than 4 & 5, but is ultimately inferior due to being the first of its kind. So no.
They are all exactly the same.

>Massive faggot
Pick two
lol no. I thought we were done with the 5 isnt the best persona meme user
No
It sucks
No, it's the weakest entry in the series, but that doesn't stop it from being my favorite.
>/threading your own post
No. The characters are bland as fuck, the pacing is fucked, the gameplay is hindered by dumb teammate AI, and it's a bit long. It at least has a stronger story than P4; that's its only strength. P5 is the best of the 3.
Do you cut yourself and listen to Nine Inch Nails?
If so the answer is yes.
If not, then no. It's clearly the worst of the three.
5>3>4
I'm playing it now after 5. I like this team than 5, but maybe I'm saying that because I'm burnt out on 5.
That right there is some good taste user
I found most of the characters in 3 to be bland. Junpei's the only one I found interesting.
Gameplay wise no.
Character and story wise
>Character wise
No.
also no?
Forgot to finish your post?
Yes
Well your entitled to your opinion but I found 3/4's characters were more cringe and fell into basic anime tropes
>Saying the characters are the least obnoxious when Junpei exists
Character and story wise yes.
Pros:
Mitsuru
Cons:
Literally everything else
*4/5 whoops lol
>has never played p2
I don't really think P3 had this problem. The characters in P3 were even blander than just being tropes (with a few exceptions).
This thread is about 3 vs 4 and 5.
Junpei is a total bro don't hate man.
The gameplay is so shit that I can't finish them.
Tatsuya to me still has hilariously odd hair.
pls tell me that person with the red hair is a girl or else my dicks gonna be really confused
yes
t. Never played a real SMT
Personally I think it's kinda like Disgaea, minus the fact that we always ignore 1 and 2.
>3 = Best story and characters, shitty gameplay.
>4 = Middle ground of story and characters,
average gameplay.
>PQ = Good story, 50/50 characters and best gameplay.
>5 = Shitty story and characters, great gameplay.
Overall I'd say 4 is the most likeable, honestly. Even though I didn't really like it.
Are you blind? Of course it's a girl.
Doesn't make the story any less good.
Leave story and bosses to P2.
Yeah so, I am not saying p3 is the best persona game character and storywise, I just said that it was better than p4 and p5 on that department.
I have. P2 is too fucking easy.
>I found most of the characters in 3 to be bland.
Same, especially the main ones, some of the other social links were good, but overall three had the worst main cast other than the first game and the worst overall story. 3 fans also hate on four and five for not being as "complex" but then omit the fact that 3 had basically a whole fucking second game to elaborate its shit with.
>anime
Not canon
Nigga Junpei is a giant dumb cunt whos just obnoxious and jealous of door kun to the point of compromising a mission . He only becomes slightly bearable whenever chidori comes into contact with him
Remember Ken?
"I was going to kill you and then kill myself."
>EP
>Easy
What did he mean by this?
Does that make him a good character?
1st post worst post
>P5 has a shitty story but P4 is alright
I literally said I never finished it because of the gameplay. I could never
make it through the chore that is IS.
Goddamn why the hell did Persona 4 not have fusion spells
>5 = Shitty story and characters
>Are you blind? Of course it's a girl.
>Expecting me to trust an anime to make a boy look like a boy
Is EP that much better? I might try to power through IS if it is that good.
Can we all agree that locking character development behind social/confidant links like 4 and 5 do was a mistake and naturally integrating it into the story like 3 does is the best way to go?
I see people like that a college every day user
I think so too, Ryuji being more like his confidant self in the mainstory would have made him way better.
Yes, I liked being able to do more side character s. links while having the main characters get developed through the plot
P4's the one most people are more likely to enjoy, I also just said I didn't like it much.
It's not a pain like the gameplay of 3 and it's story, while not particularly great is a lot more fun than 5.
5 takes itself too seriously, but not enough to actually make anything leave an impact. I'd be honestly surprised if people cried during 5, it felt so lifeless.
They're the same as every other game, except they get even less development than 4's cast.
5 is even basically the exact same story as 4, but the characters get glossed over more.
Definitely, social links/confidants don't have to be the primary area of character development, they can develop another area/problem of that character while them still having a character arc in the main plot.
EP is actually challenging and not just autobattle. Might be the hardest persona game.
Not strong enough wildcard.
Leave fusion spells to us.
>Can't even use fusion spells by himself
Heh
It has a lot of great characters and good ideas but 4 and 5 are simply more refined versions of the same concept.
Gameplay-wise: no.
Everything else: yes.
He didn't say anything about the titles pre-3 dumbass.
Tatsuya solos
Don't be in denial p3baby
It was a counter intuitive idea that made you cling onto specific persona instead of getting new ones. A better use of the idea would be using 2 arcana instead of precise persona but that would make the requirements too easy and OP if the spells are just as good from those in P3.
Do you have serious brain damage? Even I didn't say anything about pre-3.
...
It's has the benefit of having a better final act compared to 4 and 5's disappointing final acts. Unfortunately, every thing else about it pales in comparison to the other two.
All three Persona games (3-4-5) are about equal level.
I guess you do.
...
God, Chie's such a bitch.
>Can't even survive an armageddon
It's my favorite.
Still trying to finish P5 but the game turned into a complete slog in summer.
...
Leave SEES to me
I think we can agree that
Ryuji > Yosuke
Half your party in 3 didn't even have S. Links so they didn't really have much of a choice than to have story-integrated character development.
I wish there was different dialogues in the later parts of the game for characters with maxed out Social Links.
Junpei > Ryuji > Yosuke.
Yosuke at least didn't cause problems and isn't retarded. Even though he's a yes man
>Even though he's a yes man
That's the worst kind of character.
>Half your party in 3 didn't even have S. Links
And thank god for that.
3 had some based social links.
P3P did it just fine though.
Ryuji is the worst "bro" of all time. He starts off fine but actually goes through negative development
...
Amazing game but not as good as 4 or 5
I found myself spending half the nights in P3 wasting time because I had run out of social links to do. Meanwhile my Sundays were fucking packed with social links I could barely complete.
I'd like to see you try.
I would replay it again but I don't want to buy the PSP version or deal with retard AI in FES ever again. Also the character portrait art really sucks ass.
Use Tactics.
>Power of the universe
>Cant even defeat Nyx without sealing himself
>Nyxs' best feat is bringing down the moon
>Nyarl casually destroys a universe with a thought
>Is literally unkillable
>Tatsuya and crew defeat him anyway
Leave the door to me
I kinda agree but that music though
So what's the with the different methods of summoning Personae in 3/4/5? To me, it's as if the gang in 3/5 force them out unlike 4 where it seems more "natural"
>BABY BABY BABY
>DEEP BREATH DEEP BREATH
>SOME DANCES
>I NEVER FELT LIKE
>Good
Chalked it up to environments affecting how easy it is to bring out one's persona.
Does that mean Inaba is canonically the comfiest location?
They summoned them inside Tv world
No, just the TV world.
