For me it's probably Pillars of Eternity and Shogun 2
Steambot Chronicles.
inb4 sonic 06
The Sims 3 with all of its expansions. They even had to put a minigame in to loading screens so players didn't bore to death. Also Still Loading Payne 3
That one Spyro game
I gotchu covered senpai
Wrath of Cortex, non-Greatest Hits version.
Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360, I avoided going into buildings because the loading screens would be anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes
Fuck that shit.
Quake Arena on ps2 I think it was. I believe it also was on a CD instead of a dvd. You could make yourself something to eat and probably finish it by the time a match would finish loading.

Game also had the tendency to crash during loading.
oblivion on the Xbox 360, holy fucking shit, loading screens hitting almost 5 minutes was insane.
POSTAL 2
LOADING SCREEN EVERY 2 SECONDS, EACH ONE LASTING 2-3 MINUTES, HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT WAS BAD
WWE on the PSP was famous for 5 minute loadingtimes
I didnt buy it but I remember people bitching about it
This is one of the worst ones that I can remember that I personally played, just saving took well over a minute and the game took up over half a memory card.
...
>and the game took up over half a memory card
fuck games that did this
Came here to say this.
Also fucking sonic 2006 had some pretty awful loading times
GTA V Online. I don't even have a bad computer or internet it just takes a good 10 minutes to connect to online and then another couple minutes to find a session.
Holy shit this I remember playing Postal 2 when it was new on current PCs at the time it was horrible. Thankfully playing it on a modern PC load times are 5 seconds at worst.
this bugged piece of shit

Smalltime
Anything on Neo-Geo CD.

Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of cortex on PS2
XCX physical version without the data packs has like minute long loadtimes.
That being said, the only loadtimes ever are when you start the game and when you fast travel, so it was do-able.
And with the data packs it went down to around 30 seconds.
Outside of that, I remember seeing FFXV and ReCore having god awful loadtimes recently, but I haven't played them myself so I cant say for sure.
...
King of Fighters 98 on the playstation.
Long loading time to start off.
Loading time every time a new character appears.
Matches are 3 vs 3 so there can be up to 4 different times a game has to load before a match is finished.
Pre patch Bloodborne or Re:Core
...
FFXV had atrocious load times on Xbox One, but I suppose it's my fault for using an Xbone
the older FF games that were ported to PS1
Didn't these elevators act kinda buggy on PC because of much faster loading times?
>5 seconds or so pause at the start and end of every random encounter
How anyone actually managed to playthrough those games this way especially FFIV which has a notoriously high encounter rate is beyond me.
FUCKING GOOOOOOOO CHRIST
youtu.be
The ps1 version of Chrono Trigger.
grand theft auto as a whole
i can get up walk out have a meal and still come back to a loading screen
Midnight Club dub edition.
Fuel.
Ass Effect
loved midnight clug dub but god damn i thought the game crashed when i first played it for taking so long
Back in the day, games for the Commodore 64 took 30 *minutes* to load from the disk drive. To make matters worse, there could sometimes be a load error and you'd have to load the game *again*.
People griping about 30 seconds or 60 seconds for loading know nothing about hellish loading times.
...
Pretty much every PS1 game.
Crash Bash
Modnation Racers, Sonic '06, Bloodborne (at least at launch)
Metal Gear Solid 4
Resident Evil Outbreak
It's so bad that there's an option to install the game on a hdd to reduce the load times.
Sims 3 with all expansions+store content took 2 hours to load into a neighborhood when I last tried it
Not even a contest really.
others have said it but bloodborne when it first came out was horrible. Long load times without the familiar item descriptions to at least keep things interesting. Compound that with the fact you end up dying more then others souls games because of the gameplay mechanics, and the fact you have to teleport to the hunters dream, it was pretty bad.
