ITT: Times when devs spat in your face

every single nerf to this poor man

You know that AC staff is working on Splatoon right?

Sticker Star was somewhat excusable because they were experimenting.
But this shit? They knew everyone hated the formula and they STILL made it.
The real kicker is that during an Iwata Asks for Sticker Star, Tanabe made this big faggy deal about how it would be lazy for them to just rehash TTYD. And then the next game they made was a Sticker Star rehash.

...

>Give us a shitty, heavily watered down Mario Party-style game literally months after releasing Mario Party 10

I would've actually been interested if it were a straight ripoff of Mario Party, but it couldn't even do that successfully. Fucking 100% Orange Juice was a more involved game than this.

You should swap skylanders with #FE and it's perfect

everything after PMD Sky, even then I liked blue resue the best, but sky time and darkness were also fantastic. RIP that franchise
Sucks we got 2 games in a fantastic series, super paper was OK but it wasn't close to the first 2. Style was hit or miss most the time.

You might as well post the infograph.

>Tanabe made this big faggy deal about how it would be lazy for them to just rehash TTYD. And then the next game they made was a Sticker Star rehash.
In all fairness both games shouldn't be a rehash, they should've made a true sequel that builds upon the previously established gameplay with new ideas that mix well with the old gameplay. The old gameplay has a lot of potential I feel still to be expanded upon.

They came straight out though and said it was a quick side game made just so they had an excuse to make AC amiibo. It didn't even waste any of the AC team's time, just ND Cube's. Don't see the problem here.

Nah, two different teams, the heads of Splatoon just came from AC.

>Color Splash had an amazing art style
>Ruined by fucking awful gameplay
Why does Miyamoto ruin everything he touches nowadays? When is Kimishima gonna off him the way he did Iwata?

>Don't see the problem here.
It's not what I wanted, and it was shit in general.

Blame Tanabe, not Miyamoto.

>It's not what I wanted, and it was shit in general.
Well, yeah? As I said though, it's not like they did a Federation Force, they admitted it was a quick side project and it came out alongside HHD. If they tried to promote it and sell it as a full game then I'd be mad, but they didn't.

I bought a Wii U at launch. I got 3D World while Switch gets Odyssey. I got Amiibo Festival while the Switch gets a true AC game.

>Somewhat excusable

They basically soft rebooted the series then blamed it on fans "not wanting story".

I hate how the almost-perfect gameplay of the first two games got completely thrown out of the window.

Devs need to realize that sometimes making a good game involves reusing concepts you know work, even if you don't know why or don't want to use them because they aren't "fresh"

I bought a wii u hoping for a proper animal crossing game

And now I guess I'm suppose to buy the switch, hoping it too receives a proper animal crossing game.

Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, fuick you

Just wait until it gets announced before buying one user. No one can blame you for that.

I can at least understand that Federation Force was using a mothballed game so we'd have SOME kind of Metroid game during this drought. Other M basically committed the most cardinal sin possible: turning Samus Aran into a dull battered housewife.

You'd think by now that people would have realized that Nintendo makes what Nintendo wants to make. They don't just pander to the fanbase.

So why don't they want to make good games?

They're a business just like any other you fucking retard. They make what they think will sell. Unfortunately they aren't very good at understanding what people want most of the time.

>They make what they think will sell.
This only applies to an extent.

Have you ever considered that Animal Crossing is shit?

>tfw over 900 hours and only just realised how fun he is
Stock + Family Business + Eviction Notice. Not the optimal loadout but fun as fuck.

If they just make what everyone wants, they'll never discover something new that could be bad or could be good.

Everything from Nintendo since Iwata became president.

Have you ever considered I disagree?
