Can't say about Heartstone, since I never played magic, but the only thing HotS and DotA have in common is that they are both mobas, and out of the 2, HotS is more enjoyable. DotA is just boring, and really, if you play outside the current meta you have no chance of winning the game.(before you ask, I stoped playing dota 3 years ago cause of that bulshit)

Blizzard's entire company isn't based around being "original". What they do is they take existing concepts, make them more retard friendly, and then add shitloads of polish in the hopes that maybe nobody will notice

And Diablo wasn't even made by Blizzard. Diablo was made by an off-shoot branch completely under its own direction, leadership and staff called Blizzard North. They may as well have been a separate studio.
