Yes, it's normal to suck shit when starting a fighting game. The learning curve is pretty steep, even if Tekken does allow a bit more experimenting at the start than most fighters.

Block high most of the time and practice parrying lows (down forward just before the hit) instead of blocking them.

Why do I randomly get a message that the last online battle was not finished properly and a penalty has been imposed? I haven't quit a match, I just exited the game normally after being returned to the menu after the match. Is this a known bug?

New to Tekken, was getting owned in player matches as Dragunov, played Akuma this morning and won a few consecutive games.

I'm worried I'm just going to fall into a trap and play Street Fighter in 3D.

The customisation stuff is kind of cool but there are a lot of cases where there aren't two matching torsos and legs, eg. formal slacks without a formal shirt.

Pic related, had to go for a Man With No Name poncho look on my cowboy Akoomer, but I kind of like it. Guess it means you have to get a bit more creative.
