What the fuck is wrong with this thing's d-pad? It makes the Xbox 360 look like the best d-pad ever. Every time I grab the controller the dpad is really sticky and hard to press at first.

You don't own a Switch.
nigga wut? This is one of the best gamepads ive ever used.
Also this
Yeah that's not the actual issue, and no the 360 pad is nowhere near as good lol
Can confirm that pro controller dpad is fucking shit. Using the joycon 4 button is much more responsive. It's for this reason I returned the pro controller. Anyone who defends it is an autistic fanboy.
The D pad is awful. They made it awful on purpose. I've gotten used to it by only pressing the very edges of the directions and avoid using it in general. If I ever hate to us it, I'm real damn precise about how I press it. Shit, it sucks.
people complaining about how bad this dpad is shows how bad the 360 dpad was
Anyone else getting up/down inputs when you press left or right on the d-pad?
YES. This is the fucking problem. It's too goddamn sensitive. How they thought this fucking made any sense is beyond me. Jesus Christ, did they have to avoid every common sense way of making a D pad because of patents or something?
Maybe your controller is faulty.
Yeah, 360 d-pad where Down means 'DownLeft' or 'DownRight' depending on forecast and position of celestial objects is infinitely better than clear and cut dpad where 'down' actually means 'down'
the wiiu pro dpad was the best one ever made, I use it on pc for fightan
I heard the fix is to cut the cilinder like shape on your pro controller's membrane
I hope you are getting pay to complain about this, this is the best D-pad this generation.
I bet you bought it day one with your switch. I bet you dropped you spaghetti thinking about playing with just the joycons. Retard shills like you are a mistake.
>Every time I grab the controller the dpad is really sticky and hard to press at first.
That's what I say about your dick, too
>anyone who criticizes a Nintendo product doesn't own it
Classic.
Works for me.
I still dont get why people enjoy doing this
wat
its made with Nintendium OP! Didn't you know? It's very epic!
okay, explain what's wrong with it fuckboi.
I dislike the dpad for a different reason.
You can input a half circle by pressing down alone. I understand that there's some wiggle but it shouldn't input anything else.
see
What's a half circle?
indeed it is

Don't quote some random shit, explain in detail.
Get out
its pressing up down left right and not releasing
You dumb double nigger. If you press left or right, down or up could register. If you press up or down, left or right could register. You fucking muslim cunt.
>Like 6 problems out of 3 million sold
Wew
If you've ever used it, you'd know that's not the issue with the D-Pad on the pro controller at all. The actual issue is that the d-pad is so fucking sensitive that half the time you input up or down when pressing left or right.
the tablet part is durable but too bad the joycons break just by playing it.

The rubber membrane underneath the d-pad as a cilinder in the middle. Apparently if you cut it out or trim it a bit it fixes the issue.
Cheap Chinese plastic
the level of autism in your writing tells everybody in the thread how full of bullshit you are. I have it on my lap right now, and I played Shovel Knight and Wonder Boy, if you think I am a shill you are missing a nut.
Playing the victim? sad
my real question is why do all d-pads seem bound to the same circular piece of silicon/plastic? the exterior design looks different but every time i see one of those fuckers opened up it's essentially the same deal. this is why inputs get mixed up over time, isn't it?
Is there a video on this or something?
Is literally the Wii god tier D-pad but a bit larger, what the fuck is wrong with you?
I found a Reddit thread while searching possible fixes one day and it had this imgur.com
I'm testing it right now with USF2 and it actually works! But the right input still detects up inputs from time time, so I guess I still have to trim a little bit.
you sound butt devastated
Post controller.
>Muh D-pad! Muh D-pad!
Why does Sup Forums spaz about this shit all the time? I've never had a bad experience with any of the D-pads you faggots spaz about.
>Stick above the D-Pad
I want this meme to die, why is it every company is against clawing?
Thanks, I'll save this for later. I didn't see this when I looked around, but I saw people try and call Nintendo to fix it but the controllers they received as replacements or with fixes didn't fix the issue. I don't think Nintendo will do anything about this is my guess, unlike the Left joy con thing. I may try this, but I'm not very handy. I'm just very careful with how I use the D pad for now.
This also happens on the latest model DS3 and it's fucking annoying. Companies don't even care anymore about dpads.
it registers up and down sometimes when pressing left/right, which means it's the shitty carousel style D-pad.
They are kids with poor motor control
