DRK technically got better but I'm not hyped for a single combo spam and being unable to use pre-cast Dark Arts because now both Syphon Strike and Soul Eater can consume it.

I think I'll be alright. I like using MNK the most but even if it turns out completely awful at least it shares gear with SAM so I can transition over easily.

You took the two dots that made us moderately interesting to play, gave us a cooldown that eliminates our haste and inflicts the worst part of dropping GL from us, a means of refreshing our Greased lightning that requires the fight to be specifically designed to use it, and gave us a Traited Gap closer that will literally only ever amount to 20 extra potency.

Who knows. SMN got tossed and turned and blended. On paper it looks bad at first glance, but I feel this isn't all there is to be seen. We're definitely becoming more focused on single-target damage as opposed to AOE though. There's so many little tweaks and changes to SMN across the board it's hard to tell at this point.

I don't know what I want to play yet in SB. I don't know if I want to stick to MCH, move to BRD since they look like they have more utility, or move to SAM which I wanted forever and suits a weeb like me.

AST present, pretty happy.
Sleeve Draw and Undraw are pretty nifty, not to Earthly Star's 900 potency aoe heal that does admittedly take 10s to ramp. It's still even a 600 potency heal if you fire it immediately, -and- it's got a 150/200 potency hit on it for enemies.

Lord and Lady is also nice. Lots of nice things.

I like the changes they did to WAR. They changed very little and gave us more of what we like, building up slowly and then hitting like trucks.

My only regret is that SAM will now beat us at the big numbers game.

I had no idea it'd reset your 'home state' when ARR first appeared, so when I went to play Arcanist I ended up as a Lominsan in the Immortal Flames.

RDM seems to be proc based as opposed to consistent output, and WHM was gutted pretty good.

Meanwhile DRG became even more straight forward, and I have no idea what to think of new MCH.

It seems like you want to start off with Army's Paeon to build Repertoire, then unloading with Wanderer's Minuet and using Mage's Ballad as filler.
All the songs work off of DoT crits, so they seem to play the same.

Bane nerf seems too heavy handed. It should drop by 10% for each new target and then bottom out at 50%.

Other than that though SCH seems to be in a pretty good spot.

Not really, no. The mechanics for the three songs all interact with the DoTs procs, so you'll just have to keep those and straight shot up: hell, Paeon will be just a passive buff.

Most of the optimization will come in which order we rotate the songs, I think, like refreshing the dots under Paeon damage buff.

Bane'd DoT potencies drop by 20% beyond the first target, up to a maximum of 20% less damage.
It's a very minor nerf.

BRD has been pretty streamlined, between that and MCH it seems like a choice between having more buttons to press vs. thoroughput

The one in the media tour is mistranslated, it works exactly the same as 4.0 Flare, but with a smaller drop in potencies.

Scholars still have Dissipation.

I am just too fucking excited about the PvP changes. That on top of finally being able to level via PvP(if the exp is good enough, at least) has me giddy. Doing BGs to break up the PvE while leveling was always one of my favorite bits of MMOs, glad to see they're coming around.

Switch to japanese voices and the problem is fixed.

Finally getting a big summon and of Bahamut makes up for any nerf to Bane and removing a single dot.
BLM also looks pretty good as I was always shit at keeping up Enochian and now it looks like I'd have to immensely fuck up to somehow drop it.

My queues as DPS right now is only 10 minutes. Compare to 2.4 when they went over 40 minutes per queue. It'll be even worse in SB.

Earthly Star is disgustingly beautiful. I remember first seeing holy and being blown away but it now just completely pales in comparison.

They listened to every single complaint about tank balance so WAR and DRK lost all their utility while PLD gained the most dps and raidwide mitigation.

Unless 4k seals is a big expense for you, just send them until they succeed.
