>you're playing a game you love and you reach THAT part
What is it, Sup Forums?
You're playing a game you love and you reach THAT part
When the village part of RE4 ends
This
so 10 minutes into the game, same here
After you finish the sonic campaign on sonic adventure
Then things go to shit
...
...
This is my trigger
These levels are the worst part of Sonic & Knuckles. And they're SO. FUCKING. LONG.
Nah more like a couple hours, the rest of the game is still fun but I don't like it as much as the village.
It's especially cancer because you need to play through it to fight the lingering will in final mix.
It's not optional if you want to play the best part of the game.
>does the debug while on there
>games goes apeshit
killing every last adipode demon inside the fat princess in Breath of Fire 2
Arabian Flights in Rocket: Robot on Wheels
god that part is so fucking abysmal
...
>KH 2
>Atlantica
>FINNY FUN
I fall through these platforms more then I'd like to admit.
...
>all of atlantica
>the carpet segments of agrabah
>oogie boogies conveyor belt fight
>the burning building in timeless river
>any boss fight that requires a specific spell to beat and you forgot to map it beforehand
and maybe Im just shit but
>berserker and dancer nobodies
>that 6pack
>mgs3
>entire motorcycle chase sequence
>entire shagohod boss fight minus the last part
>eva escort
your so hot but FUCK YOU EVA
>Do the Eva escort first time
>Doesn't occur to me I can drag her to the exit
>Spend like 30 minutes feeding her frogs to get her to walk for a few feet before feinting
I refuse to believe people actually had a problem with this.
Hey guys!
When you first encounter barrels earlier in that stage, you can jump up and down on them to get past them. When 9-year-old me got to this part, I wondered 'why is the thing that worked all those other times not working now?'
I kept trying to find alternate routes in the stage to try and get past this part, but all roads lead to the barrel. I felt like a fucking idiot when I came back to the game years later on a whim and randomly decided to push up and down on the barrels.
You better tell me what game this is, user.
Boku no pico
Bionis' Interior 2nd visit
...
You didn't actually have difficulty with this part did you?
I did the first time I played it.
You son of a bitch. I already searched for it and got nothing.
Hell in Spelunky
Shit is hard
No, you're just a scrub. Admit that you were terrible.
I hope you didn't think that was hard or something
>going for no kills full stealth run
>soldiers start rushing in wave after wave
its really not that bad, but trying to do multiple runs made me hate this part. glad you can just reload a save, and its not that far from the end of the game
Not hard, just always a huge pace breaker if you're going for the stealth win. Even if you know exactly what you're doing, it just takes forever.
this, fuck lorithia
The first few hours of Final Fantasy 9.
Goddamn is it difficult to get past all that bullshit.
Once you get to the forest, the game starts. IMO anyway.
That first part with the kidnapping and the flying stage and all that nonsense with steiner runnin around chasin everyone, holy fuck get on with it why does this take so fucking long?
I love the first few hours of FFIX but I always love JRPG openings before the adventure begins, it's comfy and focused on getting you into the lore and world and if it's done well really makes the adventure feel special when it starts.
I don't have a problem with that.
It's just ff9 takes way too long with it's introduction. Seriously.
>jump range is shit
>belmont falls like a bullet fired directly downward
Can we just vote not to talk about that part?
It's intro is perfect and varied though, full of introductions to great characters and amazing cinematic scenes.
I actually prefer the Library over this.
It still takes way too long dude. It's nice and all, but it takes way too long. It's like 3 hours or some shit if you are reading all the dialogue and doing all the play fights and whatnot.
nah that level is stull great, just a little more frustrating. Mine Blowin' might be my least favorite part.
Here are some
>Jobs and roaming in NMH1
>Mohai in Rhythm Heaven
>Every torture scene in MGS games
>Every water level in every game, DKCTF even has an entire water world
>Crygor and Mike in Warioware Touched
>The Supermarket endless level in NMH2
>Crysis city and Wisp Planet in Sonic Generations
>Every time those floating fuckers appear in DMC4
when the ghost fish show up in Ninja Gaiden Black
Why? That whole level is great.
Until you figure out you can just cheese them with the nunchaku
I really want to play through DS3 again, but don't want to deal with that boring, slow slog through the swamp again. If only they'd kept Bonfire Ascetics so I could upgrade areas to NG+ without having to replay the whole game...
Yeah that was pretty frustrating. Most of the racing minigames were though.
You just jump when the chandelier is swinging towards you. It's not difficult at all.
You still have to restart the game in DS2 for some of the boss weapons. Namely the fucking spider.
>triforks hunting in the old WW
>tingle wants shitloads of rupees for the maps
I loved wind waker but seriously. Fuck Nintendo or WHOEVER thought this was a good idea.
>paper mario 64 is a classic great game
>the more you play it over the years however the more you start to realize that nintendo and the devs started to give up on it about halfway through
>first chapter is koopa bros, which is fucking great
>second chapter is tutankoop, which is fucking great
>third chapter is tubba blubba, which is pretty good
>forth chapter is shyguy toybox, which is fucking great
>next chapter is the jungle/volcano, which feels lazy and unfinished
>next chapter is FLOWER FIELDS, the worst chapter in the entire game, with backtracking, not funny or interesting dialogue, bad music
>next chapter is the crystal palace which is completely forgettable, boring, and linear
Seriously.
I dont think many people had a problem working out how to do it. I realised what to do fairly quickly, its just that it breaks the pace so much. The casino level isnt the fastest paced level anyway, and adding this just made a game which was meant to be about speed into a very slow and boring slog. This entire level sucked imo, sonic games should be fast
>>any boss fight that requires a specific spell to beat and you forgot to map it beforehand
As much as i love KH2, what boss can't you beat with reflect?
The entire beginning of GTA IV
Do you really need to be taught how to do fucking everything? It's so obnoxious, even to people who haven't played the game before.
I played this game for the first time in ages and this part was easy.
People like to shit on Sandopolis but these levels are actually really well-designed.
This area is fucking garbage
Not OP, but ill agree that its well designed. For the most part. That infinite sand slide can fuck right off
Heres a pro strat, just stand under the pole and face the left. Hit it straight upward and it will knock you into the pole rather than back into the arena, makes the boss fight really easy.
>that feel when it will never become an industry standard that video games give the player the option to skip instructions
it's easy though, unless you're an idiot and try rushing it
I wish I knew that 20 years ago.
Fucking hated these guys too. Always forcing me to bring a pen and paper to note them down.
The second part of this level is what pisses me off. It is too long (you can actually time out) the respawning ghosts and infinite level cyles
You people have shit taste. RE4 is one of those games with perfect pacing that never gets tiring.
The castle and beyond isn't as interesting yes, but it is quite addicting and well executed.
Fuck this shit. I was forced to level skip with cheats thanks to this. Could never find out how to beat barrel. And I only found out how to solve it years later through a let's play.
This. Kojima tried to mirror Emma escort from MGS2, but the thing is, babysitting emma wasn't an issue because you could take your sweet time and there weren't that many enemies for you to deal with.
Escorting Eva was a pain. Fucking being chased and a shit ton of enemies hiding behind foliage
Literally no issues here
I hate your taste.
It is annoying. From loves to make valley of defilement in every Souls games. I don't know why. Do they actually think people want this? Or expect it because "muh Souls homages"? Or is it to piss fans off because they know this type of areas are unpopular?
Literally no one would be sad for not having another fucking blightown
Possessed Uzuki and Koki in The World Ends With You.
As for the dark souls swamp part, i think people just expect swamp levels in most games. I dont really like swamp levels in souls games, but im not sure id like it if they were removed either
It gets even better.
I still prefer it over Two Betrayals.
At least Sandopolis has the best music in S3&K
...
>Paper Mario TTYD
>That boring fucking train sequence
It's even worse because I think that's directly after the GOAT glitzville area if I recall
>Trying to snipe the dudes grabbing Ashley while you're being attacked
...
...
>all remakes fix the glitch
Legacy Collection has the glitch, but I still didn't use it.
What's bad about him is simply having to redo all of Wily Castle 1 after only 1-2 tries on him. You lose some of the momentum you gained in the pattern so beating him takes that much longer to figure out.
>how about i slap your shit
