The version of the suicide where he hangs himself with an umbilical cord is leaking from the Death Stranding otherworld. When Lisa kills you she snaps your neck, then you hear the sound of unzipping and tearing flesh. She removes Norman's clothes and tears something out of his stomach. When you awake you find a bloody bag containing an object that talks to you. She ripped a fetus out of Norman's stomach and put it into the bag, hence the C-section scar in the Death Stranding otherworld.

Kojima said he wanted to make Silent Hills an open world game and Death Stranding is said to be an open world game. Admittedly he also said Death Stranding will be an action game like Uncharted but he also denied any involvement with The Phantom Pain when that was being marketed as a HORROR game. He marketed The Phantom Pain as a horror game when it was an action adventure game, now he's calling Death Stranding an action adventure game when it's actually a horror game.

The PT otherworld is very generic and more pleasing towards you low IQ Silent Hill fans who want the same type of imagery over and over again. You should get rid of your autistic preconceived notion of what Silent Hill has to be and instead consider what it could be.

It would be genuinely be one of the craziest game ruses ever, but I'm not autistic enough to believe that a secret like that could be kept for that long, it's a cool theory, just with no basis is reality. Considering Silent Hill gets explored fairly often, and in the games the paths you go down isn't exactly the same except for some landmarks to make you go 'oh hey, there's the place I went in silent hill 1', you can do a lot of things with the town without actively returning to the exact same locations.
Not to mention its perfectly reasonable to assume some buildings get, re-purpose or redesigned over the course of time.

Really interesting to see how these threads have evolved. Through autistic dedication and far-fetched arguments a man has managed to go from just being ridiculed to being sort of believed in.

Had I not experienced all the hype regarding MGSV, and the following realization that the game was a disappointing mess story-wise, I would be interested in this stuff. But I did experience that. And this almost feels identical.

Yes. This is a welcome revelation seeing as TPP fucks up the series canon beyond comprehension. If you don't think it does then you don't know enough about the series lore to understand why.

That's not to say the revelation itself cant be used as a catalyst for MGS5's story. Something still happened to Big Boss when he returned to Camp Omega that caused him to go into this coma nightmare / VR simulation. Zero could be lurking behind the scenes and orchestrating the nightmare / VR simulation (using drugs, Mantis mind control, whatever) as a why to manipulate Big Boss. When Boss breaks free of the simulation / nightmare he would realize what Zero did to him and it could instigate their war.

Not to say it has to go down like that but just giving an example on how TPP being a nightmare / simulation in itself doesn't have to go to waste.
