No harder than the rest of the game
it's made hard and somewhat unfair on purpose. dark souls' difficulty has become a meme and fromsoftware doesn't know how to evolve its gameplay and mechanics like they did with bloodborne.
>that healthbar
you are a casual
It's a random screenie, this is my healthbar
Are you talking about the Ariandel DLC or the full game OP?
a bit of both
>Torch
Why? It's never dark enough to need one.
>not making it dark enough yourself
its like you hate fun or something
I liked the comfyness of that area, some of the enemies were tough but not to bad. The gravetender boss was fun and I loved the music.
You should try the Frigid Outskirts in SotFS. I think that place pissed me off the most in the entire series.
We don't talk about Horsefuck Valley here, this is a safe place
>dark souls' difficulty has become a meme and fromsoftware doesn't know how to evolve its gameplay and mechanics like they did with bloodborne.
I want this meme to die. Bloodborne is really not that much different than DS gameplay. Stop being a drone.
>BKS
You should have no trouble except for those double raven faggots in the chucrh.
that's why I said 'evolve'. it's just slightly different but feels very fresh at the same time.
Skip Ariandel for now. Do the other DLC first. Ariandel is more difficult and it makes more sense for it to come last.
Yeah I'm just too lazy to learn how to code a good lighting engine and mod it in.
>Ariandel
>Harder than Ringed City
You on drugs m8?
ever heard of video settings?
Why did this never occur to me.
Does the ingame gamma slider provide a positive effect or is everything still washed out grey?
Ringed City is harder
The only hard things are those fucking crows with their infinite combos
Ariandel is a fucking breeze compared to ring city
I didn't find it any harder than the rest of the game
You're playing a shit game.
Also, the story of Ariandel leads into the Ringed City.
OP, if you're still here, I'd recommend saving the DLC areas until you're pretty much done with the rest of the game. You can even do them after beating the final boss, since the game doesn't force you into NG+ after beating him.
Nigga turn the brightness down on your monitor. Fucking hell.
Easiest soulsborne game so far and the painted world is the worst DLC out of all the games.
>worst DLC out of all the games
Ariandel and Ringed City together are much better than AotA actually. Still worse than Old Hunters but there aren't a lot of things in the world that's better than Old Hunters.
>mfw those viking fags in that drop down area
Sure, makes sense that you can pound the earth like its your bitch with your axe and make homing seismic attacks on me.
Armor losing upgrades was a mistake.
Ringed City is fine, AotA triumphs them both easily, better boss fights, more lore and it didn't cost a cent, the painted world alone is a bad joke with 2 shitty bosses.
LITERALLY FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE.
send help please
>Armor losing upgrades was a mistake.
No, fuck you. Farming extra titanite to upgrade armor is retarded, they should have instead just made heavy armor more useful.
Stay in front of him dont try going under
It only feels fresh because you wanted it to, fuck off drone.
>11 estus flasks
Goddamn and I thought DS2 was retarded
Why are they balancing the game for so much estus flasks, or is it actually a lack of balance and bad game design?
>always summon 2 phantom
>way of blue
>great shield and stock
le dark souls too is easy immarite???
>Painted World
>You leave by just warping from a bonfire
The lack of attention to moderately fine detail in this game is disgusting but the lack of respect for area transitions due to the bonfires every 5 feet is something else entirely. Even if you meditate your way to dragon Nirvana your standard exit is just going to be the bonfire that's not even a few enemies removed from where you spawn in.
>better boss fights
Gael, Midir, Demon Prince and Friede are better than all AotA bosses other than Manus
> more lore
That's literally false
>it didn't cost a cent
Only for PC fags
>2 shitty bosses
>Friede
>not one of the best bosses in Souls series
Well memed.
>Demon prince
>Better than Artorias
i dont think so
You leave by warping from a bonfire in all Souls DLCs, you fucking idiot. What the fuck are you talking about?
Because armor is useless now and after awhile you're constantly on 2-3hits death territory with enemies that literally never stop attacking.
Friede is better boss than any other DS / BB boss.
He wants walking fucking everywhere and wasting your time to be a thing again because of ~atmosphere and lore~ basically. Like pre-lordvessel Das1. Still too many damn bonfires in 3 though.
FP coming into the game, since getting FP heals requires you to divide up your total estus.
Nigga wtf are you talking about, that's completely backwards to the way it's intended.
OP, if you haven't killed at least 3 Lords of Cinder go back to Lothric and continue the game until you have. If you already did and you're still in having trouble go kill the 4th in Lothric Castle.
If you even did that and you're still getting fucked you might wanna consider trying to respec your build or alternatively gitting gud.
Artorias was good for the time. Now after playing BB and DaS3 he just feels slow and nonthreatening as fuck.
>the second you critique any part of any souls game you're automatically a drone
games are cool, very fucking far from perfection, but still good, from defenseforce can suck my cock
Who are you quoting?
I'm late to the party but I just beat Dark Souls 3 yesterday.
I had to summon help for the twin princes, Soul of Cinder, and Boreal Dancer. I could have beaten all of these myself but I would have had to die to them like 20 more times before I got that good.
I feel kind of bad for summoning help, but I'd like to take this moment to blame the claymore. It's too fucking slow. I upgraded it to +10 raw for the hell of it but on some bosses I can barely get a single swing in once they finish whatever attack combo they had coming.
I also tried to do it with no help from the internet at all, so now that I can check for their weaknesses I might be able to fight them legit. Still intimidating though.
Uh user drone typically refers to the people that suck the devs dick and blindly defend the game.
You should practice your reading comprehension user. He wasn't defending souls, he was saying bloodborne is a carbon copy. Its slightly different but basically the exact same thing.
Did I miss something, or don't you have to get through the Painted World to get to the Ringed City?
>MUH DIFFICULTY
i'm so sick of this meme
With the exception of slabs, by the end of the game titanite is spilling out of your pockets. Armor upgrades would at least give you something productive to use them all on.
>easiest soulsborne game so far
You're retarded.
DS1 and DS2 are far slower-paced than DS3. I can walk around nearly ever enemy in that game now and just backstab spam them to death.
I want retards like you to die.
Weapons have the ability to have different movesets so investing upgrade materials in them makes more sense, armor in souls games only ever effects a stat. They just need to make different kinds of armor worth wearing, like having heavy armor protect from more damage and having poise not be shit.
>+10 raw
That's fine for the start of the game while your stats are still gimped, but were you not upgrading STR or DEX at all? Eventually changing to Heavy, Sharp, or Refined should give you an increase in damage.
Ignoring the other infusions is fine since pine resin or spells can accomplish the same thing for more damage.
>Easiest soulsborne game so far and the painted world is the worst DLC out of all the games.
Agreed.
Midir a shit, Dragon boss without a tail to cut and the fight is just piss easy patterns stretched out over a huge HP bar.
You can't leave the painted world from the bonfire even post lordvessel in DaS1, you leave by jumping off a ledge. DaS3 references where you hop off and the Priscilla knockoff tells you to kindly fuck off but it can't bring the two together.
Bonfire warping to every single bonfire in the game was a mistake. World structure in DaS3 sucks too hard to consider not being able to warp from the start.
>Wasting your time
Having to choose whether or not to lock yourself into using a new bonfire was a solid deliberation when it might an arduous journey removed from where you want to return to afterward.
There's a bonfire in the endgame area that warps you that's 5 feet from another bonfire that warps you.
TRC is chunk overload. Every corpse and enemy is gushing them all over you, it's ridiculous.
Just cleared this DLC not fifteen minutes ago for the first time.
Vordt's Hammer +5 trivialized the whole DLC (and pretty much the whole game) for me. Being able to stunlock the grave tender and kill him before the wolf even appears, as well as stun locking Friede in all forms was pretty ridiculous.
games can be difficult for the right reasons pleb
I do Ariandel before doing the cathedral even
>implying the R1 mash fest that is ds3 took any skill compared to 1 and 2
Real talk, DS3 was the only game out of the 5 that I could SL1. Game so fucking easy.
R1 spam has been in every game you fucking noob, its the same in DS1 and DS2 as well.
>use onxy blade on my pyro build
>fried is literally trivialized because i can just poise through her swings with my attacks and stun lock her before rolling away and doing it all over again
>fireballs do tons of damage to father so that part is done in a minute
>blackflame fried stands still like a tard and lets you backstab after almost every attack
I honestly wonder how the fuck anyone can give praise to that joke of a boss
DS1 is a bit slow-paced if compared to DS3, indeed. AotA overall enemy speed feels exactly like DS3, also it is absolute fucking hell on NG+.
Miyazaki DS1 remake when, like seriously, game is 6 years old already
Didn't even realize she could be backstabbed, never tried since five hits with a hammer does more in the long run anyway.
And yeah, poise tanking her was ridiculously easy. Frostbite on Father meant 1400ish damage from two hits
Not that guy but you really are wrong.
