The real nuisance for me are those flying stingrays in the 4th in the Shadowmen arch stone. I hate having to switch to a bow just to kill those things.

Perhaps I remember things wrong, but if you're at a point where you're fighting Doran, you should have zero issues with this guy. I mean, he's only there to teach new players that there is stuff out there that can fuck you up very easily. By the time you need to back there he's nothing.

I might have missed something then. Because I only have him and then the bridge with fire breathing dragon and small field with items guarded by dragons. I cant level up too because maiden is not in hub

What? You did all the other archstones? Either way Doran is just a bonus, you ought to be going down that dragon bridge. I can't remember any reason why the maiden wouldn't be in the Nexus.

True, I mean I can play Demon's Souls whenever I want but if I want to invade I pretty much have to play Dark Souls 3 and we all know how that goes when invading

This is a nostalgic discussion. Save 1-3 and 1-4 for last, but you might want to rush past those dragons in that field guarding all those items even if it kills you to grab them, one is a shield with amazing flame resistance that comes in handy in Stonefang.

The funny thing is that Demon's Souls has so much broken stuff that it ends up being the most balanced.

Look around she doesn't stay in one place but she's always in that center area, either in the main circle or up the first set of stairs, leading to the archstones or standing near the archstones. I think she can also be down those stairs that lead to the area full of messages. I've never heard of her not being in the Nexus, even if you kill her.

Attack his ankles from behind until he falls down, don't let him fall on you, then attack his head. Obviously go up and kill all the archers first.

I don't think you can level up until you beat the first boss

The first time you meet Old King Doran is the shit man, his speech after you take like 30% of his health is priceless.
