What went wrong?

What went wrong?

Writing in general.

Children pandering.

Localization was shit.

you

Series went to shit with 13 and has constantly tried to appeal to weeaboos since.

I just finished Awakening and had a pretty good time with it. Is this one worth buying?

The story, the constant stat changes, and the invincible weapons mainly. Oh yeah, and all the random dragon's vein shit.

Treehouse

This got remade

horrible story, pay-per-route, and children were horribly implemented.

>splitting a game's routes into separate purchases to bleed people as much as possible
>treehouse

>that one map where the game stopped being fun

What's her name?

No. Play 6-8.

fe6 was shit

literally a funner experience than most of fates

Best in the series

The one with takumi

t. Hidari

>No Dual Audio
>Tons of cut content
>Bad english dub
>Shit story
>Game split into 3

Nothing important.
>has constantly tried to appeal to weeaboos since
You people are beyond delusional. The games since Awakening have appealed to a WIDER audience, not just otaku, weebs, or you autists.

This game

>let's make 80% of the map forest
>and let's add randomly teleporting witches
>with super high res!
How do I git gud at luck?

Really horrible localization in general

Bad story, way too buff and debuff heavy, character feel like cookie cutter anime tropes, poison skills were annoying, seal skills were cancer, half the time personal skills were just shittier versions of already existing skills, game is only hard for being unfair, tedious weapon forging system, most of the special weapons you get from sparkly tiles are trash, weird rng when regarding hti percentage, camilla exists

Memehouse ruined the game

Hidari was chosen as the artist for the following game

Even with an excellent localization, the bad writing and world building is still there.

>not liking Echoes
you didn't even play it did you

i don't play shitty games for mediocre stories

>Sup Forums shit on the treehouse for months and months straight over the localization
>Sup Forums still buys it and accept the english version overall

Make you really think, did you fags buy #FE too? I bet you prefer the less problematic wedding dress.

literally the best gameplay and level design in any japanese SRPG ever

Nothing went wrong. It's the only good game in this piece of shit series.

Literally a poor man's FFT

maybe it is easier to accept when you realize fates itself is shit anyway and treehouse's localization is just a cherry on top.

>All those fucking retards who thought NoA would keep the otaku pandering in

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

not seeing enough comments bashing the RNG
I hope nu-Sup Forums doesn't think the RNG was excuseable, randomly TRIPLING the damage you give or take

The plot. Besides that, It's the most fun I ever had in the series.

i played it and it was mediocre as fuck from start to finish

You mean critting?

Get good, though, there are hundreds of strategies to go around getting bad numbers. You should always have backup plans.

The plot of Fates was shit and it was primarily Aqua's fault because of how the story revolved around her.

Why are the Nohr family so beautiful in comparison to Hoshido?

This

Also this. Valla was a mistake

Xander and Leo don't have retarded hair, Camilla looks more like a women than Hinoka and Elise isn't a massive moeblob

>blew out tellius cucks, JOPs/racist wapanese cucks, k. rool cucks, and ridleycucks

Not one thing went wrong

you only needed one. or the special edition cartridge which had all 3. shiet

>Elise
>not a moeblob

The maps are better than awakening but the story is shit

lack of head patting

>k. rool cucks, and ridleycucks
Because of Corrin in Smash?

A game that didn't need to be split got split and all of the good shit ended up in 1 game. I had a lot of fun with Birthright because I could play around with characters that I'd usually never use but in Conquest if you don't have the DLC you pretty much just plow through everything and I found that to be less fun.

Not nearly as much of a moeblob as Sakura is though

Gameplay wise, nothing.
Map wise, some are slogs.
Plot wise, you are a Camus.

How does Sup Forums feel about this image?

Leo x Sakura
Camilla x Takumi
Ryoma x Elise
Xander x Charlotte
Hinoka x Me

The writing makes me want to kill myself
I liked the gameplay but I unironically have a slight feeling of disgust keeping me from picking the game up again

>Plot wise, you are a Camus.
Funny how Camus himself makes it out alive with two girls lusting for his dick while every other Camus-type dies an idiot.

Corrin

Treehouse.

>maps aren't gameplay
>fatesfags keep parroting maps are the only aspect of gameplay that matters

WHICH ONE IS IT. MAKE UP YOUR FUCKING MINDS ALREADY. AT LEAST STORYFAGS HAVE A GENERAL IDEA OF WHAT IT IS.

>plotwise you are a Camus

Kill yourself fatesfag. Niether Corrin nor Xander are even remotely wothy of being called a Camus. You want a Camus? Go play Awakening, chapter 10. Don't like Awakening despite being a filthy waifushitter? Go play Echoes and get it straight from the horse's mouth.

What happened at the treehouse that makes people keep mentioning it?

They senselessly cut optional content, botched a few lines, and hired terrible voice actors.

...

>Takumi deserving someone like Camilla
I think not

The story was just awful and none of the characters were likeable.

We finally got homo options and it sucked.

>muh autism

Nice fuckin rebuttel, fag

Wasn't the same guy. You just type like you have autism.

Look how seriously you take Sup Forums. Fucking pathetic.

>6
LOL

Maps are a component of the gameplay experience. In any case, both the gameplay mechanics and the level design in Conquest are the best in the genre.

Your post is proof that the game did need to be split

>Xander x Charlotte
Best taste

How so?

Literally every aspect that falls under the umbrella of "writing".
The maps, while challenging, were simply not fun.
Unit balance went out the window in favour of Royal dicksucking.
Dragon Veins were a novel concept, but ended up just being unintuitive arbitrary gimmicks. Learning the strategy of one Dragon Vein doesn't carry over to any other aspect of the gameplay on any other map.

Things that went right:
The mechanical changes, like the skills (mostly), and the weapon overhauls.
Nothing else, really.

You mean 4-5 and 7-10.

Birthright for casuals/newcomers and Conquest for everyone else.

You might as well also bash the grid-based strategy gameplay and the RNG-based stat increases.
The implication in OP's question is that this is in comparison to the rest of the series. Complaining about core staples of the entire series isn't going to go anywhere.

She's definitely a pure blob of sugar meant to be as cute as possible, but she's not moe. Aside from her innocent naivete, she's very capable. The core appeal of moe is basically clumsiness and endearing incompetence. Sakura is entirely moeblob.

>I had a lot of fun with Birthright because I could play around with characters that I'd usually never use
L O L Birthright was literally made for casuals like you. Even without grinding, every unit can be usable in Conquest and Birthright.

Am I the only one who really hates the box art for both of the Fates games? There's just something really bland and off putting about it. It's like they tried to make it interesting by not just having everybody facing forward with Corrin in the middle but it didn't work. Characters still just look like they were cut and pasted haphazardly and there's no composition or balance to it. It's just really bad.

Most people prefer Conquest, but you preferred Birthright. Thus, it was a good idea to split the routes because there are two very different kinds of players in the fanbase.
This is just my reading of your post, as someone who thinks splitting the routes was dumb.

>muh casuals
Guess I should've known better than to expect a real response.

Kill yourself. The games were spilt to separate the casuals from the hardcore.

How were those not real responses? There are casual and hardcore players in the consumerbase, and the route split allowed for each game to appeal to each group. You made it clear that you were a more casual player, who liked Birthright and disliked Conquest. That was exactly why they split the routes.

Elitists. Yeah the story is shit and the game isn't perfect but it isn't literally satan.

>Elitists constantly go on about how awful the characters are and that the females in-particular are pandering waifubait
>meanwhile they jerk off to the original waifu Lyn and characters like Mia who are as one-dimensional as anyone in Fates

You have to have played FE7 and FE9 to post in these threads, user.

Lyn is babby's first waifu

>9

Found the tellius cuck

Being someone's waifu does not make a character waifu-bait.

Not that guy, but characters like Lyn and Mia are as one-dimensional as the ones in Fates. Because of the limited support system they don't express much personality beyond the anime trope they're assigned to.

good gameplay is shockingly not enough to carry a game like this

The full game costs like $80

Did you read the post he replied to?

are you talking about Revelations?

No but since Revelations is worse in every way than Conquest, you can apply everything I said to it as well. Except that Rev maps weren't challenging.

I bought into the Birthright meme and I hate the story and characters. Maps are fine, I'm easy to please when it comes to strategy.

Do I go into Revelations or Conquest? Keep in mind I found the story so shockingly boring in Birthright that I wanted to stop playing it. Conquest supposedly has 100 times worse story.

>game is bad because im bad at it

She was literally made to be waifubait, stop letting your nostalgia blind you

Unit balance in CQ is better than the majority of the series

The mode you likely had enabled was called "Casual" for a reason, user.
