I think it's actually pretty amazing that some sony fans would sooner pay hundreds of dollars for a VR headset that received tons of negative publicity and has a collection if pretty much exclusively shovelware over getting a different console they don't own, to play games they couldn't otherwise play. It's really nuts the kind of hold sony has on these people. There are people who pay for PS+ "just in case," when they're not even playing games online, it's nuts.
the only VR platform that will take off is the one thats affordable and fully embraces porn
bonus points if its a open platform anyone can develop for
APE ESCAPE 4
Implying that VR wasn't a fad that's dying out.
We just got a sequel to summer lesson! Don't you like trying to look up girl's skirt in VR?

I don't know why anybody thought VR would take off.
I don't think Sup Forums understand the point of current VR. Gaming is used to kickstart VR development. Its being tested if its good enough to support itself, if it can be developed further or if its just shit. Sup Forums is not calling VR shit, Sup Forums's calling it bad investment.
Calling VR a bad investment is given.
>Its being tested if its good enough to support itself
Looks like they've got their answer.
lies, we call everything shit
I thought it sold 1 million? Even so, I think 1 million is actually far more than I would have thought would sell.
There's literally one game for it, RE7. Although if I got a PSVR (not likely) I would definitely get Rez, pic related. I imagine it would look pretty sweet, I wonder what it would be like playing it on LSD too.
Yes I think it's safe to assume there are more than 400,000 users.
I take it Gear VR is the best one for porn, or the most affordable?
As much as I shit on the game selection, you'd be surprised how many people own one and get their rocks off to the stupid games on there. This old man neighbor of mine and like 6 of my brothers friends own them and they just flip burgers all day and shit.
Obviously not sustainable but these normies are up to some weird shit.
They give away Gear VR for every galaxy phone in most countries.

Isn't that how much it sold in Q1 alone?
Anyway, It's not a flop if it matched expectations. And everything's relative, PSVR sold more than Oculus+Vive combined, so it's the least "floppy" of the three.
It's the one that uses the Samsung phone, so yeah if you own the phone I think it's the cheapest at $130 for the headset and controller. But it's also the shittiest because you're literally just pressing a phone up to your eyeballs.
Another factor is their advertising. I've seen more tv spots for it than any other by far.
Who else /feel-bad-for-oculus/ here?
I think PSVR would actually be a great laugh with mates and a few drinks.
But the gimmick would die off after that one night of laughs because you'll have played almost everything, or fucked about enough with it that you wouldn't really go back to the 'demo-tier' games.
I don't feel bad for them selling it to Facebook. Probably made a fucking shit ton, and Facebook still haven't done anything with it, it's not like they need the money though.
I literally never heard of gear and google shit.
How ironic is it that Oculus, the one that started it all, got the least sales?
Some people think it all got fucked up when they got bought by Facebook.
