It won't be as good as Horizon Zero Dawn
Stop being a fucking faggot
my buddy at gamestop got it early for me, it was pretty good
>tfw missed the shitstorm to avoid spoilers
How was it?
>missed
Sup Forums is still throwing a shitfit over it
Any chance this'll be emulatable on PC anytime soon???
In all seriously I avoided this place for about two months when the game released because I didn't want spoilers.
What was it like here when it bacame apparent just how good the game was? Was it a saltmine wasteland?
we hate it, just another ubisoft open world tower simulator
Nintendo fans being happy and praising it
Sony fans shitting on it and saying Horizon was the zelda killer
PC Fans talking about how much better it was on emulator
Xbox fans not existing
The usual
>Was it a saltmine wasteland?
yes, and it still is

IT'S OVER NINTENDO WON
Honest question, but what kind of spoilers could there possibly be for BOTW, or even a Zelda game in general?
Since Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out in 2018 the VGA's are really fucked now because every year they give the GOTY award to a multiplat to please as many people as possible and this year they're going to have to give it to BotW.
People were calling out the game's flaws and getting shit for not pushing them aside and praising it as the greatest video game ever made.
Progression, gameplay mechanics, secrets, story, anything. Like any other video game, there are people who prefer to go in blind.
>paid reviews
tons
IGN: 10/10
>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a masterclass in open-world design and a watershed game that reinvents a 30-year-old franchise. It presents a wonderful sandbox full of mystery, dangling dozens upon dozens of tantalizing things in front of you that just beg to be explored. I’ve had so many adventures in Breath of the Wild, and each one has a unique story behind what led me to them, making them stories on top of stories. And even after I’ve spent more than 50 hours searching the far reaches of Hyrule, I still manage to come across things I haven’t seen before. I’ll easily spend 50 to 100 more trying to track down its fascinating moments.
Apologize.
The entire fucking game is built on the exhilaration of exploration. That kind of goes out the window when everyone is exposing the game's surprises. I had Eventide Island spoiled for me.
>StarFox Zero reviews come in
>LMAO NINTENDO IS FINISHED
>BotW reviews come in
>Nintendo OBVIOUSLY pays for their reviews!
It has been emulated a long time ago
...
WHAT THE FUCK SONYCHADS WASN'T THIS SUPPOSED TO FLOP?!?!?!??!
The first miniboss I found was a big rock that gets up and kills you pretty easily, it was a massive surprise for me and it would've been much less impressive if I knew that boss existed
Sup Forums utterly BTFO yfw Sup Forums was obliterated
Stop kidding yourself, it always has, and still does, run like absolute shit on cemu. It is literally a gimped copy of the inferior Wii U version and still crashes constantly.
>b-but it's PLAYABLE
Such high standards.
...
>Horizon was the zelda killer
Some people still claim to feel this way. People who didn't play BOTW, that is.
I played Horizon first and it reminded me how stale modern open-world games are. I was legitimately worried that I wouldn't be able to enjoy BOTW because of how Horizon made me feel. Then BOTW reminded me that open-world games can actually give a sense of exploration and adventure. It really was incredible. I hope developers start to copy BOTW so we can fix what has happened to open-world games.
v/ will never get over Breath Of The Wild.
The ass sting will reverberate for the ages.
I will always remember the past 12 months on this board. Watching the same people who devoted so much time and energy to discrediting the Switch and Breath Of The Wild - from spreading lies to cherry-picking screenshots - doing everything within their ability to make the console and the game seem bad.
Only to watch their jaws drop in absolute fucking horror as the Switch burst out the gate as a massive overnight success and BotW turned out to be, not just Game Of The Year, but one of the best games ever made.
Fucking glorious. I am actually sore with laughter.
Reminder Horizon is now onsale for $40
Another 10/10 from GameSpot this time
>No matter how gorgeous its environments are, how clever its enemies are, and how tricky its puzzles get, the fact that Breath of the Wild continues to surprise you with newfound rules and possibilities after dozens of hours is by far its most valuable quality. It's a game that allows you to feel gradually more and more empowered yet simultaneously manages to retain a sense of challenge and mystery-which, together, creates a steady, consistent feeling of gratification throughout the entire experience. Breath of the Wild is a defining moment for The Legend of Zelda series, and the most impressive game Nintendo has ever created.
>caring about spoilers in a game for children where literally the same exact story arc happens in every iteration
kys desu
We still have Super Mario Odyssey to look forward to later this year. I can imagine it getting a 99 and completely destroying this board
I always like to think Sup Forums's reaction to things if they were around years ago. I can imagine Megaman X and Rayman 2 being treated as edgy reboots like DmC.
Spoilers are about more than just STORY you fucking dunce. Go back to playing your shitty movie games.
you idiot the only best game is minecraft
Shit, I knew it, I entered a new timeline
It really seems a lot more like botw is only basic goty quality, nobody even talks about it anymore
>That indescribable feel when you conceptualize the size of the map in relation to the starting plateau
tell that to the shills in HR trying to keep that thread alive with art
*blocks ur path*
seriously what the fuck
And yet, when I reach the edges of the map, I'm like, "That's it? This game is so small."
Then I go back and start venturing toward the center and I'm like, "FUCK. This game is so fucking massive."
(You)
Jim is a fucking cuck, he's clickbait incarnate and he gets butthurt when there's backlash to his shitty baity opinions.
Obviously they had to pay for Zelda to look good after their previous disasters.
Obviously
Eh... Horizon is a better game. The combat is way more diverse then the QtE riddled mess of botw. Both are fun though.
>try getting a good look at the westernmost peak of the highlands, where you can't climb up
>try climbing around it from the north foot of the mountain
>hit the edge again
>now I'm hanging from a massive mountain, with an even more monolithic cliff far on the other side of a bottomless abyss, and a duststorm is making it feel like I'm literally floating above nothing
>start getting anxious from how tiny and insignificant I'm feeling
Nope.
>witchtime is QTE
Wow
