What do you want the next Rayman game to be?
Origins and Legends were good but I kind of want a new 3D Rayman.

rabbids
>What do you want the next Rayman game to be?
REAL
I just want another semi-serious 3D rayman like rayman 2 with gameplay from rayman 3
I can´t get into this game... I love 3D platformers but this one doesn´t ring a bell for me.
Does it get better after the swamp? Because the swamp is really boring.
Pic unrelated.
It gets really good, wait until you start entering the mask sanctuaries.
PC version > The rest
>Does it get better after the swamp?
Yes.
But you should probably play rayman 3 instead, I think you need to have nostalgia for rayman 2 to enjoy it
Dreamcast version > PC version
I just want something that's not Origins/Legends-esque flash animations where you hold right and occasionally jump while things happen gameplay.
This shit completely ruined both Rayman and Donkey Kong Country.
Where are the levels designed to be fun to explore and platform through, not blindly run in one direction while the level falls apart around you
What version are you playing? PS2 is best.
Not with that shitty HUB
Ehhh. Rayman 3 is also flawed and pretty slow to start. Either one is fine, although Rayman 2 has one or two more levels that are longer than they should be.
What is wrong with the HUB?
As much as I loved Rayman 2 and 3 as a kid the truth is Legends is the superior one.
Hall of Doors is just better
Dreamcast Hub was garbage, you fool
That's what I'm saying
You mean origins
Are you retarded?
Dreamcast /PC >>> N64 > PS2 >>>>>>>> PS1
ubisoft that we knew is dead, modern one is filled with feminists and numales
It would be better if rayman was forgotten
What the Fuck are you talking about faggot,
PS2 is easily EASILY better
QUICK Sup Forums NAME YOUR FAVORITE LEVEL
>The top of the world
No, I don't. Legends was way more fun.
you mean rayman
I really didn't like neither Rayman 2 nor 3 or Legends for the matter.
I'd kill for a new Rayman in the vein of the original, but that is literally impossible nowadays, so I'd be happy with a new Origins that didn't look like shit nor was filled with medieval crap.
You mean Sonic
What's wrong user? Don't you like replaying Rayman 2 for the tenth time?
Didn't you like that GBA demake of Rayman 2 disguised as Rayman 3?
They will announce Rayman 2 for the PS4 Pro this E3
This
honestly i didn't even like rayman 2
To me it felt like another game
who was best girl?
Best game ever mad
glad Sup Forums is talking about it
>tfw Cave of Bad Dreams
...
>What do you want the next Rayman game to be?
Still 2D.
Redhead, always go redhead.
...
Rayman Revolution is literally the best version of the game. What are you smoking?
...
Canopy, best music too
The one where you are running from the ship is great too

Replayed this few weeks ago and it was great. Aged really well. Almost no collectible bullshit and when you die you don't have to replay huge portions. Some of the rocket riding was a pain though.
Same, I loved Origins and Legends, but a new 3d game would be great. I would also like them to return to a more "innocent" and fairy tale like atmosphere 1 and 2 had, instead of teenage humour of 3 and crazy tripiness of the new games. Also if they were to make another 2d one, get the fuck out with the online multiplayer bullshit, local was great, but those online challenges and account levels kind of ruined the mood.
>*FAST PACED DEEP, GRAVELLY GIBBERISH*
>not cave of bad dreams
been thinking of replaying Rayman 2, is Rayman Revolution's new content worth the hassle or should i just stick with the original?
also how come there are so many fucking versions of rayman 2?
This. Legends was good as well, but it just didn't have the same charm. And soundtrack was just elder god tier

>online challenges and account levels kind of ruined the mood.
Fuck off, that shit was crazy fun, and it's not like you were forced to do any of it.
>get Rayman Revolution to emulate properly
>loved it back when I had a copy, pretty excited
>the terrible english voice acting is the only voice acting there is
>no way to change it to the original gibberish
>What do you want the next Rayman game to be?
Just another Rayman 2, same kind of music, big ass crazy environments, some awesome gimmicks like rocket-riding... I liked 3 but it felt rushed and unpolished, it had some cool levels though but 2 was way better
You can change it in the main screen when you first boot the game
The language is calle "Raymanian"
>The Canopy
GET THIS SPIDER OFF ME
I really, really want another Rayman game, but Ubisoft are fucking dicks who would rather focus on shitty Tom Clancy shooters. They didn't even do anything for Rayman's 20th anniversary.
If they ever make one again, I'd love for it have some darker vibes like Rayman 2. The atmosphere there was fucking neat-o.
I don't know how I didn't find that.
...
Nothing scared me in Rayman 2, but in 3, fuck the whole Desert of the Knareen
Rayman is best in 3D
t. hardcore Rayman fan
2D has its own charm (Especially the original Rayman) but you have so much more elements and freedom with 3D.
STICK BAMBOO UNDER HIS NAILS
This is the only level in R3 which I've NEVER replayed. Fuck this, shit's scary
You do realize it's Ubisoft that owns the rights to Rayman, right? The studio in charge of Rayman is only going to make Rabbids shit from here on out.
Can somebody explain the differences between all the versions of Rayman 2?
I don't have all day.
>Dreamcast is the original.
>N64 version is a port with different graphics, slightly different OST, and a different final boss
>PS2 version is the Dreamcast version with slightly updated graphics and they replaced the gibberish with real voices
>DS version is a direct port of the N64 version
>3DS version is like the Dreamcast version, gibberish voices are back
I probably missed a few, but there's a bit of an overall summary.
There is also the PC version and from what I know there is a difference in existence or non existence of the hub area and the fourth mask temple. What's the changed final boss for the N64 version?
What about the PS1 version?
Sold really well. Playstation version was the weakest version, even though it did add voice acting.
The sequence is a little different. I don't remember exactly what but there's no chase part and instead pirate mech dude is suspended between these two pillars and you have to shoot rockets at him.
The N64 and PC versions were the originals, not Dreamcast.
And those two versions are functionally identical, save for the PC version having better models and textures in a few spots.
And the PS2 version is an overhaul that adds more stuff to do and collect and levels are found via a series of hubs rather than through a level select.
>ride up the plum in molten lava cave
>puts me in to a rocket ride that's harder than rest of the game combined
>finish it anyway
>puts me right where I was without any rewards
Kek I remember that, felt so pissed. That big robot bird in that late-game level was also pretty terrifying and I spent like half an hours trying to figure out how to sneak past it
PC also has non midi music.
>replaying Hoodlum Havoc
>"See you in Rayman 4!"
Give me another Rayman 2. I loved that game and the series before it got too wacky and zany and...French
Well, that's the sequence I had on PC. What's the original one then?
So the PC version is just the N64 version with better graphics/music quality?
It came out the same year, so yes.
