worst Mario Kart
Worst Mario Kart
wrong
Not the absolute worst, but it's down there.
pic unrelated
Mario Kart DS is still considered the best right?
Its actaully the best
it had the best coop of all nintendo games
Say what you want about the game but you can't deny it introduced best girl
Really makes you realize how good Mario kart is, because OP is absolutely right yet double dash is excellent.
That's not the GBA game
Close to best
Wii > DD > DS > 64 > SNES > 8 > 7 >>>>> Super Circuit
Arcade is fun but I haven't played it enough to rank it, probably right under DS
For its time or what? I can't stand the GBA one.
No worst
>double dash
>worst
I will fucking wreck you, mate. I swear to me mum. Paratroopa and toad on the toad cart, any map, any time. You'll get a nice dirt nap, scrub.
Hivemind
GBA does suck tho
>the one idea later games take from double dash is the flying memeshell
why
>wii that high
>7 that low
the fuck is wrong with you
>DD
>Worst game
>One of the only Mario Kart games where you can manually dodge red and blue shells if you were good enough.
ok m8
64 > DD > DS > 8D > 7 > Super > GP DX > SC >>> Wii
Never played the other 2 Arcade games so that's my full list, I fucking hate the Wii game and I'll nostalgia ride 64's dick any day.
Because its other "ideas" like lack of small jump, every kart drifting like shit, doing with two characters what can just as well be done by one, unbalanced character-specific items and boring track design were unworthy of being followed up on.
Who rewrote hustory to say the best MK was worst? I challenge thee to a duel.
As much as DD is overrated, only because of GC nostalgia mostly, Super Circuit on GBA is actually the worst one.
Nigga you best shut the fuck up before I shut you up.
Lmaooo delete this
Worst is Super Circuit. It's probably the only game in which using a mushroom is dangerous because of how wonky everything is.
>Hey lets double the items
>And add a drifting tier
>And not change the courses to accommodate these gameplay changes, surely this wont fuck up the game balance
>Oh but hey we have a very barebones battle mode that nobody really missed in the first place.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the worst Mario Kart by virtue of managing to fuck up a port of an already completely finished and developed Mario Kart.
>boring track design
Luigi circuit is still one of my last favourite tracks that keeps fucking returning for some reason, baby park is trash as well
>he's too much of a scrub to use tier-3 boost
Kek, I bet you bitch about 200cc too.
>There are actual people ITT who dont think Super CIrcuit is the worst
What the fuck, guys?
Baby Park would be a decent battle arena. It's pure cancer as a race track.
not many people played super circuit
I miss special items
>tfw snatching both bowsers from my friends and filling the track with bowser shells
yes, this is the worst mario kart. The physics are terrible, with all the karts sliding around nonsensically, and there are mechanics that are completely useless (kicking).
Anyone who actually likes this game is an underage nostalgia babby.
>Courses are literally all designed with less drifting tiers and less items in mind
>I can activate the third drifting tier, that means its a well designed mechanic!
Yeah, no. Deluxe is a textbook example of why "more is more" is not always true in video game design.
I like SC more than the first one, but anyone who ranks one of the 2d Mario Karts above any 3D Mario Kart is as retarded as the people who rank 64 in first because >muh childhood game.
fuck off
DS=8 > 7=DD > 64 > SMK >>>>> GBA
From best to worst
DD>64>DS>Wii>8>7>SC>SNES
>The years old arcade game got an update last week
>Added Daisy
>Literally that's it
Why? What the fuck. So weird.
In the original 8 I'm CONSTANTLY doing massive drifts where you could easily do a 4th tier boost if it existed. There's some huge gaps in courses and turns into wide straights in that game
>Special weapons
>Sliding
>Loads of characters
>Unique karts, and no part swapping bullshit
>All-Cup Tour
Since it's becoming that kind of thread.
DD > MK8 > 64 > DS > MK7 > SNES > MKSC > Wii
Mario Kart 8 is so fucking disappointing, by this point in this series these games should be loaded with content and ideas. I don't believe it took DLC just to finally have more courses than normal in a Mario Kart game, how the roster doesn't have everyone or at least most characters from previous games, how more ideas for items (that don't turn the gameplay into Mario Kart Wii-tier rape) aren't there and how it took a Deluxe version to finally fix a mode that shouldn't have been utterly fucked to begin with. Also where the fuck are my Challenges that DS had? Those were a welcome addition and interesting, even Wii at least had boss fights every once and a while via timed events.
Doubledash was awesome with friends.
I had a gamecube and this game. I wonder where my parents put it.
8DX>8>DS>7>DD>64>Super>SS
>I don't believe it took DLC just to finally have more courses than normal in a Mario Kart game,
Technically Super Circuit did it first.
That's somethng few Nintendo players possess.
I guess you're right, I don't really dislike it but Super Circuit is a really forgettable game.
>8 with butchered balance over 8 on WiiU
>8 that low
>Casual shitter that couldn't understand Super Circuit's controls put it at the very bottom
GBA had some great tracks, though. The rest of the game was pretty shitty, I agree.
You mean best Mario Kart
Baby park would have been nice if it had way more laps, and more random items. It's already hectic as fuck, imagine what it would be like if it were more hectic?
obvious bait
Wii>8>ds>dd>64>7>sc>s
I like the Wii one the most, because of it's driving mechanics, there are also some cool things you can do while abusing the games physics.
None of the MK games have a good character/vehicle balance.
>post best game in a series
>say it's the worst
Why won't this meme just die already?
I disagree.
...
I would put mk8 as the worst one, followed by 64.
>Paratroopa and toad on the toad cart
No but they have good racing ability vs item use balance.
Deluxe threw 8's balance out the window by doubling the items when the games courses were specifically designed with less items in mind because 8 had lighter item use than normal.
It's the Mario Kart where the players racing ability has the absolute lowest amount of input on the end result of the race.
Baby Park was great in Double Dash but only because it was a perfect storm of all Double Dash's little design choices that meshed with each other for lots of fun. They should never have brought it back in any other games because it just doesn't work.
Why?
SNES is worst
>Shitters that can't handle a proper VR system like Wii's say it's the worst game while praising the grindfest that is VR in 7, 8, and 8dx where no matter how shit you are you just keep inflating your VR
thought is made
I like that it goes higher now, but it's way to high, and you barely get any points for winning. If you had a low amount of VR in mkw and won against people with 9k you'd get a huge load of VR for it, and in MK8 you pretty much always get the same amount, even if you beat people that have 30k more than you.
Best Mario Kart
thats super circuit
wii is the second worst
Online ratings in a game that has a literal slot machine as a major game mechanic in it is always a retarded idea.
Is anyone else's Autism triggered by all the crossover characters? This Mario kart, not Nintendo All-Stars Racing
>Not even a Kart racer
Wrong.
This is the best Mario Kart. With the best roster.
I've never understood Sup Forums's problem with this.
DD is my favorite Kart because of the two characters mechanic. I wish another game would do it.
...
This narrative never took off in Smash why do you think you'd be able to push it here. The crossover content is great.
It's a pointless gimmick, that only takes away another character the 2nd player could pick. I still don't get why they don't let multiple people pick the same character in local multi player.
>that only takes away another character the 2nd player could pick
That's the best excuse you could come up with?
>not a kart racer
Wipeout, with its drifty handling, powerup roulette and "do tricks get boosts", is a lot closer to Mario Kart than actual kart racing is.
NO, YOU.
Why?
I've never understood the hate for double dash or the confusion surrounding the switch mechanic. It's all pretty straight forward.
The gimmick is still pointless. It adds absolutely nothing to the game.
Mario Kart rosterfagging is the dumbest shit and anyone who complains about crossover characters is even worse.
>he's still posting this in every single switch thread
Adopt a tripcode.
Kart racing isn't meant to simulate gokart racing you retard.
OG Mario Kart and MK64 are objectively the worst MK games.
The least creative tracks and the most limited rosters.
whats the best way to emulate the arcade games? I saw them once at an arcade, but they were out of order
Mario Kart Wii is the best Mario Kart, especially when played with Wiimotes.
>You're wrong because you've posted this before!
>Still no rebuttal
Here user, this is for you.
8 > DD > Wii > DS > 64 > 7 > Super > SC
I agree wi-
>especially when played with Wiimotes.
What the fuck did you just say?
You already got blown the fuck out yesterday. I don't feel like repeating myself.
I still don't see how Wipeout doesn't fit in, it's a weaponised arcade racer just like mario kart. The only difference is that the only bad Wipeout was Fusion, while bad Mario Karts are every single one.
It's been a while since I touched Arcade emulator stuff but I believe you want MAME for that kind of stuff. Personally I never emulated GP DX, I only played it at a arcade.
It had some really good stages, but nowhere near as good as 8's stages. Plus, bikes were ridiculously strong, and it didn't have as good of a roster as 8.
f-zero coarse is the only decent one and they didnt even add captain falcon.
Most MK players don't know how to handle a different drifting mechanic or using the brakes(see the MK8 200cc reactions). SC and SMK are still my top 2, but I also love 8, DS, and Wii.
>not Nintendo All-Stars Racing
Why hasn't nintendo done this yet? I would legit buy a Wii switch if they make a kart racer like this.
The argument yesterday boiled down to people defending MK8D by saying that it was ok that it was the most egregiously item filled Mario Kart and that it was ok that it was the Mario Kart where racing ability mattered the least.
So if you really want "But I have low enough standards to enjoy to" to be your rallying cry then go on ahead.
F-Zero courses in MK8 are a disgrace to the entire F-Zero franchise. They're among the simpliest tracks in the entire game, even the one that's literally an FZX track ported over. Unnecessarily wide and long.
SC>=SMK>8>DS>Wii>64>DD
The one thing I have to knock SC for is how you have to play any cup TWICE to unlock the retro courses.
>scrubs complaining about 200cc
200cc finally gave me a reason to use the brake.
