ITT: locations you want to see in a game.

New York City.

You caN find this Place in Witcher 1 act 4.

...

The Arctic

It would be an open world game where you play as an Inuit hunter who tracks down a monster that kidnaps people in your tribe, Always thought it would be cool to hunt polar animals in a blizzard

...

Aztec Mayan videogmae when?

Isn't that basically Dear Esther
>but he said game

...

nice redridge, was really comfy pre-cata

Reminds me of Majula

Seige of Tenochtitlan would be cool

We'll get there someday. Somebody has to realise how underused the setting is eventually.

Needs more neon signs

>you will never ascend the steps of the main temple with cortez, fighting off aztec warriors and eventually casting down their idols and priests
why even live

The problem is that they've all died of disease by the time you reach the temples.

Nice meme

Sounds amazing

Wasn't Expeditions: Conquistador literally this?

I didnt like the JRPG style combat
or the female conquistadors

...

I like the idea of a densely interactive lighthouse area done in the style of Firewatch.

Standing at the window during storms or misty days and debating whether you saw anything strange in the water.

any beksinski painting really

This user is a fucking man of culture and refined taste

So Witcher 1 then?

Inb4 shit midwest

EYE is like that

Top tier survival horror location. After seeing Luisiana swamps in a fucking AAA survival horror game I have some hopes about seeing the Arctic one day.

I fucking need this in my life now

>Bloodborne-esque game with a beksinski setting

>done in the style of Firewatch.
But hopefully with more payoff.

Satellite Reign

So many, and not as simple backgrounds or artwork in the distance or part of the skybox or a still image or a closed off level but as a fully modeled, explorable level/landscape

...

fuck, i love the ocean so much
Anybody got some good games for a lover of nautical fiction?

world in conflict soviet assault

Would be cool to explore submerged buildings in diving gear.

Are you from FP by any chance

a paralel universe

Little Rock cuz it's fucking shitty and I want to shoot all the niggers that make it a ridicuously dangerous place.

A surrel RPG is at the top of my list, where things share many similarities to reality but are also distinctly off

...

The Division...

and Lego Marvel superheroes

This lovely swedish suburb

My idea is more like a Battlefield kind of setting, among a ruined, abandoned, flooded city, with parts that are not flooded etc

Close infantry combat among ruins and interiors and naval combat within the city, ships hiding among the buildings, laying ambushes and really close quarters brawls in such a confined space

I need GTA Russia

>Don't do hard shrooms kids

>tfw no urban ethnic cleansing simulator

...

Terraformed

Back to Sup Forums

...

>literally a mine hole 1 ft from the town
Alright what the fuck

...

Sunless Sea

It's very hard to use effectively in videogames, though

What would be the final boss?

Roman mythology souls-like

...

why do you say that?

RAMA

i'd like to see the southern tip of south america in vidya
my mum went there and she says it's quite pretty

half life 2?

This is not a recommendations thread, and I already played it, and that pic is not the experience I am looking for from it.

i honestly refuse to believe this existed 2500 years ago.

>Terraforming the Moon

But she's so useful without the atmosphere!

Solos two warriors.

Why is everyone mad?

GTA IV

It's kinda sad that the closest I'll ever get to this is KOTOR1

Snatcher

>tfw we'll never get an open universe Gundam game

Thats Roman architecture, Roman setting, so something like 1,500 years ago

This is 2000 years ago...

why?
Germans putting humanity centuries behind is nothing new

Humans pretty much didn't change in 2000 years.

Dante and Virgilio.

1500 years ago the Roman Empire was already gone user.

the camps were polish

>Ancient Egyptians 5000 years ago

...

>what is east rome

Seeing those shitpost by the ancient romans, we might as well be true romans too

...

AEIOU

If we go by that, then they still existed 100 years ago

Greeks cosplaying.

Literally the Presidium in Mass Effect 1. Sure, it looks like shit because it was early UE3, but it's there.

Think about this: The middle ages were 1000 years long. 1000 years in the past are the middle ages.

Some post-apocaliptic game with the apocalipse not being nuclear war

The middle ages lasted longer than they should desu

Finns are roman

All souls games are already "Beksinski-esque". Tell me this isn't the inspiration for Dark souls.

Romans are greeks.

>Our historians can't think about original names
FTFY

why is it called "jive"?

Probably mining, the town grew there because of it not the other way around.

A curved world would be pretty fucking cool over an open world game.

You wouldn't need to deal with "invisible walls"
It'd all be curved together.

You could even play with variable gravity
The closer you are to the axis of rotation, the lighter you are.
You could even have it so that if you move fast enough against the spin, you'd become lighter.

a e s t e t h i c
v i d y i a

I'd love to play an RTS game on such a world, it would be interesting, you would be able to fire at enemies below and above you.

this must be the sword art online niggers at work
nobody else can make such putrid fucking fight scenes

An RTS would be cool, but I think an open world game like something from TES would be the best experience
Then you'd really have a visceral understanding of the three dimensionality of the world.

There was a pretty great HD mod for ME1 awhile ago that just cleans up the resolution a bit, and it looked great. Forget the name, but it's on Moddb iirc

looks like shit m8, and i even like that kind of art

What kind of building is this?
