P3 portable actually probably had more changes than FES did which more just kinda cleaned the game up and added an optional epilogue that was mediocre. P3 portable made changes like giving you direct control of your party and an alternate set of social links for male characters if you played as the female MC. In other words major gameplay changes and some pretty big story rewrites depending on what you do.
