What's a good build for an explosives/unarmed run?

Max points in strenght and endurance, 1 on both charisma and intelligence, leave perception on medium.

Me personally, I made an unstoppable behemoth - gave him a disgusting disfigured face which he always covers with a mask or a helmet, and made him as big as Lanius (player.setscale 1.15)

for my current crit-based prospector-type character who likes solving problems with his fists and grenade launchers. I got the Agility Implant to get 7 Agility for Slayer, and have Perception and Luck at least at 6 for Better Criticals. Strength 6 + Old World Blues covers all Explosive and Unarmed weapons (except the Ballistic Fist so I may buy another implant or get Weapon Handling, haven't decided yet because I'm not that far.) Obviously for perks you want all the Unarmed-related ones. I would suggest downloading a mod that fixes perks like Super Slam so they have both Melee and/or Unarmed requirements. Skills are totally up to you of course.

I've only played this game once as a sniper type of character who went NCR. Is it worth doing a legion playthrough?

Legion playthrough is basically NCR quests but you either fuck them up deliberately or massacre NCR instead, it's also shorter.
Yes Man is House but you have a different head talking to you. I'd do a Legion playthrough just because NCR are so obnoxious.

I wish Legion armor was more functional. It's got nothing on Veteran Ranger Armor.

I don't know why people shit on OWB so much. The Big MT is really fun to explore, and the enemies are leveled enough to present a challenge but being feasible. Might have something to do with choosing Logan's Loophole to stay stuck at level 30.

It would depend on how much you want to focus on criticals, since unarmed adores crit while explosives don't benefit from it at all

If you're using the agility implant to get 7 for slayer, why not drop perception to 5 and use the implant to get 6 for better criticals?

If you did that and took one or two points out of endurance and put them towards getting 8 or 9 int and luck you'd get more skill points and have an easier time making bank at the casinos, which would make it much easier to buy all of your implants or anything else sooner.

That's a pretty common bug. I never got it on 360 for exactly that reason.
