Yes. Trio of towns is one of the best entries in the series in my opinion.

Makes me hopeful for future games after the years of mediocrity.

The latest entry, Trio of Towns, is the first really good game in the franchise since HM64/BtN/FoMT, so if you liked those you'll enjoy Trio of Towns.

There's been same-sex marriage in a lot of the Bokojou Monogatari games already. Complete with being able to have a kid. It's always been removed in western releases.

I'm not sure about the other games, but the clothing and accessories for the 3DS Story of Seasons games don't have hard gender flags, so you can freely deck out your male PC in a frilly maid dress if you so want.

You can also use each gender's hairstyles, so you can effectively be a girl.

I hope they release the next one also on PS4, since it will be in HD they'll probably need more Money to cover the costs of the game and PS4 has a huge audience for japanese games, or they could at least release it on Steam where Stardew Valley made more than one million.

its not going to happen i dont think harvest moon has ever been on a non nintendo console. there would be no reason to release it on ps4 anyway because it would get downvoted like puyo tetris.

Harvest Moon used to hop from console to console all the time. It wasn't until the DS era that it began being Nintendo exclusive, probably because their farming sim audience and the DS/Wii's casual audience overlapped.

What are you talking about? There have been a lot of Harvest Moons for PS platforms, heck the same team even made a exclusive Rune Factory just for the PS3.

There's an audience for those games on PS4 and Steam, I just hope they realize it and make in multiplat, why are you so defensive? Don't you want more people playing the games?

If it's Switch only, I'll probably only play it when they release an emulator unfortunately. But I doubt it anyway, Monster Hunter's betrayalton will make a huge impact on the japanese Market, I'm really expecting more japanese third parties to release their game on PS after that.

I actually didn't play much past unlocking the third town. It's a bad habit of mine, getting things set up in a Harvest Moon game but shelving it shortly afterwards.

Why exactly?

That's unlikely. The HD demands are probably more than what Marvelous can currently commit to with the series. Plus, the titles appearing on PSP/PS2 were not as well received as they could've been. Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons more or less stuck with Wii and the DS line after that, likely because they get sales on those systems.

The first game was on SNES, but the second console title (Harvest Moon: Back to Nature) was on PS1. There was also Harvest Moon 64 on N64, and then a bunch of games on different systems: A Wonderful Life on GameCube, Save the Homeland on PS2, Friends of Mineral Town on GBA, and eventually both Rune Factory on DS and Innocent Life on PSP. Heck, A Wonderful Life even saw a PS2 port, and one of the Rune Factory games (Tides of Destiny) had a PS3 version alongside the Wii.

They've certainly gave the Sony consoles quite a lot of chances.

Stardew Valley sold more than a million on Steam, this is like ten times what a normal Story of Seasons do on 3DS, they'd be dumb to ignore that.

They may go to Steam, then, but not likely to PS4. Hell, there are already a few Harvest Moon games from the PS1 library available on PS4 and hardly anyone cares.

Except they kind are. Capcom is the only dev Nintendo listened when they wanted to make changes on the Switch, Nintendo publishes a lot of Capcom's games on the West and helps with the marketing of Monster Hunter, they have a pretty good relationship, almost like sister companies, if Capcom makes an exclusive Monster Hunter for PS4, then it's quite obvious that it will affect heavily on their relationship.

Would you guys recommend following a guide for unlocking stuff/achieving goals in this game?
I remember in SOS, the requirements to unlock things were pretty ridiculous. If you played without a guide it seemed pretty unlikely that you'd unlock anything, ever (except for the time based stuff that would automatically happen if you played long enough)
