>Not a single mention of FIFA on Switch
>Most likely any third party company won't announce anything for Switch except for Ubishit
Seems like Switch is gonna be Wii U all over again.
>Not a single mention of FIFA on Switch
>Most likely any third party company won't announce anything for Switch except for Ubishit
Seems like Switch is gonna be Wii U all over again.
>fifa on switch
lol why
Fuck EA and fuck Fifa..but I'm concerned.
I want the Switch to succeed. I really do.
If it does, awesome.
If it fails and becomes another Wii U, I hope to see Smash on PS5.
look at the monthly NPD, fifa and madden are ALWAYS on the top 10
The switch is just going to end up taking what's left of the JP vita market. It'll take the 3DS market provided Nintendo puts a proper Pokemon on it
>lol who cares about 3rd party games i only play mario
businesswire.com
Basically, has all the modes except the Journey story mode and isn't on Frostbite engine. But its gain the various Switched styled local multiplayer and shit. Also, 1080p docked, 720p handheld.
We'll see what the market thinks of all of that after December.
Because sport games make a console successful
Switch is for kids and nintendo fans. If you want to play fifa buy a ps4.
Reality: it's not the same game. It has the legacy edition banner. That means it's a rerelease of an old game with an updated roster.
For reference, they did the same thing with the PS2. In 2014.
Considering the amount of people lining up to buy this thing in Japan, combined with the handful of annual Nintendo titles, the Switch will do fine. The real question is whether most Japanese companies will bother to release their titles in the West or just be happy with domestic sales. But yeah, most of its Western support will be from indie devs.
Even if you don't play sports games yourselves, it's retarded not to have support for them and other big 3rd party games. Switch really doesn't have enough worthwhile exclusives (as of now) to keep sales going.
It'll have the same engine that the current systems had 2 years ago. It won't be that big of a difference. I bet EA gets their mess of a Frostbite together & gets it running on Switch by spring.
>Considering the amount of people lining up to buy this thing in Japan, combined with the handful of annual Nintendo titles, the Switch will do fine.
It's not even 500,000 ahead of the wiiu
i've always bought nintendo for the third party support
Switch is going to be indie, Nintendo and Japanese devs only. Western devs don't give a shit.
Whatever you say, I was simply stating the facts.
>except for Ubishit
Lol you really think Ubisoft is going to show off Rabbids during their show? Are you fucking insane? They're letting Nintendo handle that shitshow.
Smaller western devs care. Just not the AAA behemoths.
At least not yet. Wouldn't be surprised if the early sales figures is changing their plans though.
Well, you're wrong because it doesn't have the Legacy branding either. Plus it basically has everything minus The Journey, which is interesting but I never finished it. I want more control in my sports RPGs.
It's not that big of a deal how different it is. It also probably took the team 10 mins to update everything in the old engine compared to Frostbite, which is a notable pain in the ass.
>w-we're still relevant
>t-they just forgot to mention us
>h-haha
>Lol you really think Ubisoft is going to show off Rabbids during their show?
Why does it matter. They know Nintendo will show it off in both the Direct and Treehouse because of the licensed Nintendo characters.
are you seriously undermining the stupidity of ubisoft? that shit will be plagued on their show and only their show
>I bet EA gets their mess of a Frostbite together & gets it running on Switch by spring.
Despite what PR says, EA is still pissed at Nintendo because they wouldn't use Origin for their online. They keep giving them shit ports on purpose.
What matters is not a single company is going to mention the Nintendo Switch, or any game for it, except Nintendo.
This is in serious contrast to the buzz that Sony and MS gets.
>The real question is whether most Japanese companies will bother to release their titles in the West or just be happy with domestic sales.
Region-free and you can buy from the Japanese eShop in minutes with just making a 2nd account.
Ubisoft will find their own way to fuck up without mentioning rabbids crossover. It would be utter suicide
>fifa on switch
thats what ps4/xbox are for, and in the case you only have a nintendo console for gaming(full retard) its even on PC
who would buy it on switch, itd be the worst version and have the lowest userbase
And that's exactly why Nintendo has been in the trash can for the last decade.
>m-m-muh on the go
>What matters is not a single company is going to mention the Nintendo Switch
Not the biggest of deals when the Switch is getting mentioned everywhere else.
But if it makes you feel any better, it will likely appear on Ubisoft's show because they like the money Rabbids bring in.
Sony wishes it could have a decade as profitable as Nintendo had.
...
Welcome to the 7th generation, Nintendo
Glad you're finally here
Nintendo isn't Sega. It's closer to Apple you dumbass. They're not going anywhere
Yet they will throw all of their support behind something like Scorpio.
It needs to be said. Third parties are the problem.
The Switch is going to be a Japanese games machine, with the occasional western game.
As usual with modern Nintendo.
This.
It's ensure at least 1M units boost sales.
>those graphics
JUST
Actually, Nintendo has traditionally had more western support than Japanese. The Switch currently is getting a lot of weeb games that only the DS got.
>it will likely appear on Ubisoft's show because they like the money Rabbids bring in.
It won't. They wouldn't dare even mention Nintendo, it's completely against the image they're trying to present
As far as most "gamers" are concerned, Nintendo is a completely different animal. It's the anti-cool. They may as well start talking about My Little Pony and it would be just as big of a turn off.
Ubisoft's conference will be about primary Ubisoft products. The Rabbids crossover is some last-ditch effort they made to placate an old relationship with that weird uncle, and they won't talk about it in public. That's Nintendo's job
Well, that is handheld mode.
>it's completely against the image they're trying to present
PFFFFFF, excuse me? what image?
It's been out since march
Holy fucking shit quit being retarded
easports.com
It's fifa 18 but without frostbite and the journey, everything else is there
>I have no friends to play good mutltiplayer games with therefore Nintendo is for children
>It won't. They wouldn't dare even mention Nintendo, it's completely against the image they're trying to present
Rabbids has been apart of their image since their conception. That's why the brand got a TV show and currently has a movie in production.
Mature games for mature gamers?
Listen, I'm not saying that's my thing, I'm saying that's their thing.
Ubisoft will *not* mention Nintendo. Not once. There will be no Switch logos, there will be no Switch games, they will not even say the word.
Same as EA. Nintendo has to market their FIFA port themselves. These companies hate Nintendo because it's completely against their image.
>Seems like Switch is gonna be Wii U all over again.
We knew this since the day it was announced.
>Mature games for mature gamers?
Are you actually unironically saying this?
Has Plants vs Zombies ever been shown at an EA conference?
E3 is for real gamers, not casuals. They regard Nintendo as the casual market. They wouldn't dare insult their primary demographic by implying anyone watching gives a shit about (what's seen as) kid's games
>Same as EA.
Portable FIFA doesn't go against their image you idiot. What they are trying to downplay is that they couldn't get it on Frostbite.
Uh, again, this is a marketing reality. It's not my personal taste. I'm explaining why it would be suicide for a company like EA or Ubisoft to mention Nintendo as if it belongs in the same sentence as MS and Sony.
>Has Plants vs Zombies ever been shown at an EA conference?
Yes. Are you too young to remember "PEGGLE 2!"? Plants vs Zombies was in that same segment.
yea but nintendo has gameplay (which you cannot have if you have modern graphics, since they are mutually exclusive). therefore nintendo wins E3 again!!!
No. Mentioning Nintendo would be detrimental. "Gamers" do not want to be grouped with Nintendo, anymore than Adultswim viewers want to be lumped with actual children's cartoon shows. I feel like I'm grasping for analogies but you should get the point.
Your typical kid who bought a PS4 because he thinks it's cool does not want the insinuation that what he bought is equivalent to something that has "Nintendo" on it.
Pictured: Ubisoft's E3 2016 conference
>WiiU made them go negative
I hope they learned they lesson.
I've never watched an EA conference which is why I asked
That's pretty embarrassing, but it just proves the point. They shouldn't want to do something like that again.
>Everyone assumed Wii U would be successful because it was following the Wii, so they had games for it early on then instantly dropped support when it bombed
>Everyone assumed switch would bomba because it's following the Wii U, but it's actually selling
I suspect more support will come (at least from Japan), but not this E3. We only recently found out the switch was succeeding, that's not enough time to get something ready for E3.
>Not a single mention of FIFA on Switch
Who fucking cares
>Uh, again, this is a marketing reality
Uh, prove it
The weird thing about EA's conference is that they never actually specified what consoles any of the games would be on, save for Anthem.
I'm not saying this means they'll be on Switch, I'm just baffled why they didn't outright say what systems their games would be on.
I will on monday when they don't mention Nintendo at all
>E3 is for real gamers, not casuals
That's why we just had a presentation of FIFA, Star Wars, NFL and Need for Speed with like 1 minute of a new IP for gamers, right?
>I feel like I'm grasping
Yes. We all know this.
>Has Plants vs Zombies ever been shown at an EA conference?
Yes, multiple times.
>casual market
>playing shit like Splatoon.
>No. Mentioning Nintendo would be detrimental.
EA mentions worse shit all the time. They have more important shit to worry about.
>"Gamers" do not want to be grouped with Nintendo, anymore than Adultswim viewers want to be lumped with actual children's cartoon shows.
Your analogy gets muddled because Nintendo has heavily associated with Adult Swim and their works over the last five years.
>this is a marketing reality
On your small world maybe, in reality they don't give a shit and will present Just Dance and Assassins Creed.
>MUH WESTERN THIRD PARTY SUPPORT REEE
It has third-party where it matters; from Japan.
EA doesn't care. They consistently put casual shit in their E3 conferences because that's where their consistent cash flow comes from.
No, you will be backtracking at the speed of light while holding goal posts trying to convince everyone that every mention of Nintendo didn't really count in your eyes
Probably waiting for that Scorpio official name and logo.
The Switch related damage control wont happen for a few more months.
The extent of Nintendo in Ubisoft's conference will be a small Switch logo on Just Dance (if they even show one)
You don't even have an argument so if one of us is going to backtrack, it's you. Are you seriously saying that they'll show the Rabbids crossover? Just so I know how wrong you'll be on Monday
>That doesn't count! That hat doesnt count!
You are literally doing exactly what I said. Now sit. Roll over. Play dead.
Good doggy
You didn't answer my question
Probably not, EA is happy enough to deliver the bare minimum
>I bet EA gets their mess of a Frostbite together & gets it running on Switch by spring.
Are you one of those FP16 idiots who really think the Switch is close to the Xbone in terms of power?
It's barely more powerful than the 360.
To be fair, they did port the FB engine to mobile platforms.
never ever, enjoy your mario fagget
>what is a loaded question
Do you still beat your wife?
Do you think Ubisoft will show or even mention the Rabbids crossover?
This is a simple yes or no question with no presupposition (other than the fact that Ubisoft will have a show)
You retards shitposters that the WiiU was "barely more powerful than 360"
You can't just pretend that never happened. Come up with some new tech illiterate shitpost comparison
EA support literally every console at launch
If Switch is getting as many casuals as Nintendo want, it could sell well. It meets the "Play with your mates down the pub" that they're going for as well, even though nobody actually does that.
I expect it'll lose the mass support next year when devs remember only Nintendo games sell well on Nintendo consoles though.
What? The leaks said it will revealed at Ubisofts conference.
They're making the fucking game dude.
its not about "not even 500k ahead of wii u timelife", its about the same time frame, switch is a wii u 2.0
sony sold more ps4 on the first day than switch in entire month lol
Wait for Nintendo's event
you think EA will work on separate docked mode just because? lmao
I don't understand if this is sarcasm, trolling, or a sincere but very stupid post.
>You can't just pretend that never happened. Come up with some new tech illiterate shitpost comparison
It happened because Nintendo is so secretive about their hardware that we rarely know how powerful it actually is and we have to resort to educated guesses, die shots and rumors. There was a time when the Wii U was thought to be 352 gflops but that turned out to actually be TWICE as powerful as it really is (only 176 gflops)
The Wii U is more modern than the 360 allowing it to do some tricks that the 360 would have had to do in software, but generally speaking the 360 was a good deal more powerful than the Wii U
The Switch is in a similar boat, though we actually know much more about the chip itself because we know for 100% fact that it's a stock Tegra X1. What we don't know for is what clockspeed(s) it runs at, but plenty of developers have given us an indication that it's underclocked quite a bit even in docked mode, which makes sense considering that its cooling is very insubstantial. Everything points to it being about 50% more powerful than the 360 when docked. This is of course comparing 2006 technology to 2015 technology, which there have been even more strides since, but it's not going to turn the Switch into an Xbone. Not even close.
The Switch simply won't be able to run 8th gen games unless they're either not very complex games or they've been watered down considerably. It's just not that powerful, and I'm not sure why the expectation for a tablet to be that powerful exists in the first place.
There is no "separate docked mode". You simple scale shit based on the two modes.
>They're making the fucking game dude.
Not debating this. I'm asking you to make a definitive statement on whether or not you think Ubisoft will show or mention the game at *their* conference. You seem reluctant to do this. Are you this terrified of being wrong on an anonymous image board?
you must be retarded if you velieve that, you think models will get more polygons just because switch got docked? get a load of this goy
For comparison, supposedly both Blizzard and Psyonix have got Switch dev kits and have determined that they could potentially port Overwatch and Rocket League respectively to it, but that it would be a lower-end version and require a lot of extra dev work
I see it as kind of like how 3DS launched with Metal Gear Solid 3, but it's not really as powerful as a PS2; practically speaking it can do anything PS4 and Xbone can do, but a hell of a lot less pretty.
>only Nintendo games sell well on Nintendo consoles though
Not particularly true. Even the Wii had a quite good attach rate, and by my estimate maybe 30% of game sales were 1st party?
Sure, publishers have to compete with Nintendo's offerings, but when they make games for PS4/xbone, they have to compete with Sony/MS and a larger number of 3rd parties (like rockstar).
I feel the real problem is Nintendo wont make a high spec system everyone makes the system at a loss at first but make up for it with software sales than near mid life break even on the cost of the console because of this fundamental change of ideas vs Microsoft sony we never will get good 3rd games Nintendo is just to greedy for its own good they saw what happened to sega
You had to pretend to care about FIFA just so you could make your 25th
>Switch will fail
thread this week.
